So...Call of Duty 4 was patched. Can't tell what they've done though...

I just hope people actually use the support class and everyone isn't running around with assualt. The support class doesn't have it's point streak reset when dying so that will be nice. Basically if you get 18 kills and you can get an EMP every match. I love helping the team so I think I will go with that and have the ballistic vests, advanced counter UAV or airdrop, and EMP turned on.

I will agree with everyone saying MW3 looks exactly like MW2 and honestly I expected it to. I liked MW2 so it doesn't bother me that much.

I always have at least 25 kills in free for all and team deathmatch so I'm happy to hear that I'll be getting my favorite killstreak, the EMP, every game.

Isn't a new addition to the MW series what everyone wanted?

Yes, but it just doesn't look any different really from MW2. I would have least liked to have seen an updated graphics engine and such. BF3 just looks like it out classes MW3 in about every way possible.

It does. BF3 has so much more work put into it.

Well... this horrifies me. Plus, more shills for the new site. Visit it at fightgamesblog.net if you enjoyed, I respond to all comments.

Call Of Duty Elite: The Black Plague Of Gaming?
As I’ve said in the past, I’ve got no major feelings on the upcoming “Call of Duty Elite” service that’s being launched in tandem with Modern Warfare 3. I definitely plan to get Modern Warfare 3, I plan to sink a near-unhealthy amount of time into that game, but Elite can come and go for all I care. At least, that’s what I used to think. According to a recent analyst, the Elite service may usher in a black plague. I don’t say this to be sensational, and I mean every word of this: this news story frankly horrifies me. Here are all the details.
Read all about it over at GameSpot, and here’s a quick recap from what an analyst recently predicted would happen with the Elite service.
First, he says that millions of customers will pay the annual $50 subscription fee because the service is worth it. He says that the service will grow exponentially, up to 5 million paid subscribers by 2013. He also says that Activision will eventually raise the price of the service once it has found itself with a stable userbase. He then says that Activision will launch an “auction house” similar to the one planned for Diablo 3 (read more about that here), saying that Activision could get “a flat listing fee, a flat sale fee, and a percentage of any balance that is cashed out using a third-party payment provider.” The analyst wraps it all up by saying that Call of Duty’s competitors, specifically the Battlefield series, will see the success of Elite and will implement their own “premium membership” service.
As I said earlier: I’m not joking, this idea horrifies me. This is pure greed, plain and simple. Allow me to explain.
If millions of people want to pay $50 a year for a service that’s brand new, that’s fine. But then raising the price when you have a userbase simply because you have that userbase and want more of their money? That’s greedy. Making an auction house for a Call of Duty game and then charging for everything from listing the thing you’re selling to actually selling it? Immensely greedy as well.
And furthermore… an auction house in Call of Duty?! What would it sell? Do you need gold camouflage or fall camouflage that bad? Are people really that lazy that they’d rather pay for an ACR with all the equipment and camouflage unlocked rather than work for it themselves? I don’t doubt that some are, but consider this then: hacked lobbies! Hacked gamertags! Hacked prestiges! Hacked everything and anything! If you know where to look and know someone that can do it for you, you can get all the guns and all the camo and the highest prestige and all that, for free or for a small fee, which conceivably allows you to cheat the system and eventually you'll start making money while doing nothing.
And to be bluntly, brutally honest? If Activision is ever naïve enough to implement an auction house in a game like Call of Duty, they deserve to have it filled with hacked guns and hacked equipment and hacked everything, with nobody working for or putting any effort into anything.
In all honesty, this analyst sounds like he’s never played a Call of Duty game in his life. If any of this turned out to happen, I think the backlash would be colossal and swift. And I’ll be right there, pitchfork held high in one hand, flaming torch in the other. This is a bad idea. These are all bad ideas. And that’s that.

Activision likes running stuff into the ground, I think they want to go out of business.

I think BF3 will take some fans away from CoD. I am hoping it will make the developers realize they need to up their game on future CoD titles.

I've never played a Call of Duty game. Never really appealed to me. Going to give it a proper go with MW3 though, I think. Can't wait to get slaughtered online haha.

So long as you go in knowing you're going to get slaughtered, you can have fun. It's good to party up with friends that have the game and are good at it, if that's an option. I'd suggest sticking to objective-based games like Domination because those games have set spawns, and running around randomly with everyone spawning all around you can get pretty frustrating if you're a new player.
Just know that practice makes perfect, and if you get in when the game first launches, no one will know the maps either so you won't do too badly.
And for the most part, avoid Search and Destroy. It's a mode where you can have a lot of fun in one game, and the next game the lobby is invaded by trickshotters or pre-teens or racists or anything of the kind. People love the fact that there's no party chat allowed in SnD and they like to go into games simply to troll people.

Any word on the prestige edition? There isn't going to be a prestige edition for MW3 this year. Just Hardened. The hardened edition includes a one-year membership to Call of Duty Elite as its major selling point.
