So my customizing skills are next to zero but I can swap parts with the best of them! So here's my Elite Ric Flair fix-up using Terry Funk's body. In reality he's too tall and never wore black knee pads/red boots - but I'm hoping that will all be corrected with the red knee pads/boots from Nikolai Volkoff 2-pack w/Iron Shiek. The Warsman mentioned Comic Book Creator and I had a whole comic strip page done up, but the demo wont let me publish to JPG so here's some pics from the comic strip instead:

Wow! I really like that. I've been waiting for a good body to do a Flair fix-up on and Funk never even crossed my mind. It looks like the boots are cast in red plastic, you could take some acetone and get the black off of them pretty easily.

LOL, I know, I was already having a hard time deciding who I wanted to buy first between Morrison, Ziggler and Rude, but now this just ruined all my plans

That is almost exactly the same way I wanted to do my Flair. The only difference is I was going to use the head from the deluxe classic 1 Flair.
Very nice job, now if I could just find Funk.

Thanks fellas, I can't take total credit - PJ and someone else have elite Flair customs. When I saw the 70s/80s Terry Funk I knew that was going to be Naitch. The head is just a tad large, but to the naked eye it blends in well enough - I desperately want to share my NWA/WCW Elite shelf with you guys but I'm holding out until I get Ralph's accessories to complete my NWA Dusty Rhodes. This Flair is a little taller than Steve Austin so he's not exactly to scale, I'm hoping Nikolai Volkoffs kickers/knee pads would work better for him. what are you doing with Funks head? Ill take it off your hands if your not using it.. No plans for the Funker, have a trade list? Looks awesome. What Flair head is that? It's a CS IE Flair head (same with the robe). Can't have Naitch without his signature look. oh what the hell - here's my NWA/WCW shelf - please ignore the naked Dusty:

Very nice I've been waiting to find another Funk locally to do this. As for the boots all you need to do is cover up the tiny stripe of red on the side of the feet and add some "RF" to them and they'll be perfect for Flair's boots. Because he did wear red & black boots sort of like that, but only the toes, heels & tounge/seams were red. he was just wearing them in a few matches on WWE 24/7 last month.

He is a lil tall and while the design of the boots arent entirely accurate for Flair, he has wore red trunks with black pads and Black/red boots while in the WWF during his 92 run.

Apart from being abit too tall that figure looks really really good! In retrospect I think the Flair figure height might be okay - He's 6' 1" in real life and Rick Rude is 6' 3" - clearly Rude is taller in the pic. Dusty Rhodes is supposed to be 6' 2" but appears to be a tad shorter than Flair, just a tad (probably because i have his knees bent). The more I look at my display I'm thinking that the Ricky Steamboat figure is actually too short! He's supposed to be 5' 10" and he is shorter than the other guys, but in figure scale he looks more like 5' 7" this was my nerdiest post ever. He is a lil tall and while the design of the boots arent entirely accurate for Flair, he has wore red trunks with black pads and Black/red boots while in the WWF during his 92 run. I do recall him wearing black/red boots in his first WWF run, but I think Flair's knee pads have always matched his trunks or been a shade of his trunks - never a completely different colour. green trunks/green knee pads pink trunks/red knee pads baby blue trunks/navy blue knee pads red trunks/red knee pads

Did you ever think of just adding a pair of black boot and black knee pads? Little hot water and the boots pop right off.

I think the problem with the head is it looks too wide without a robe on. at least that's what I find with mine.
