Let it be clear, I don't mean a trained REAL submissions... Expert.
What I do mean is a wrestler that was successful in winning their matches through the use of different submissions?
I'm so tired of the WWE claiming ____ is a submission expert just because they pick up a submission or use a single submission to finish off 95% of their matches.
If I live in the 'wwe universe' bubble I would suggest all the following are submission experts:
Chris Jericho, John Cena, Gail Kim, Chris Ben...moving on, Daniel Bryan, Steve Blackman, Ken Shamrock, every Hart, Ric Flair, Dolph Ziggler, The Great Khali, Jack Swagger, Chris Masters, Kurt Angle and even Jeff Jarrett.
Some notable names are missing. Some belong. While others get on there because the WWE decided a win by pin wasn't good enough.
So I'm not suggesting I'm an expert, but could you guys guide me toward some wrestlers who used more than 2 submissions throughout their career (past or present in the WWE) and won... Essentially someone who won their matches in a brief period of time with various submissions not a specific one or two.

I wouldn't consider a bunch of those guys experts...But for your question...Roddy Piper, Tazz, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn, Regal, Charlie Haas, M$M, SCSA even (as Ringmaster).

Does it count if you know 1,004 holds, but 502 of them are armbars?

Severn, Benoit and Malenko seem to be the best candidates
I really want a Dean Malenko figure now

I don't think most people got what the topic starter was asking...
Anyway the closest answer I can think of is Shamrock who had an array of potential match ending submissions although only really the Ankle Lock would get the win for him in the end.
Undertaker has gotten wins with multiple submissions but his tended to be during seperate times such as he used the triangle at one time and the Hells Gate years later.
(Off topic, Who was it that used the dragon sleep with the legs locked round? I'm thinking Blackman but can someone help me on that?)
The only other three that somewhat fit the bill is Show, Lesnar and Benoit. Show has used his Camel clutch, Cobra clutch, Bearhug and some others I think. Lesnar with the Lesnar Lock, Bearhug and some others and Benoit had the sharpshooter and the crossface and a few others.
But as far I know the WWE has never had a guy that can lock you in a hold, doesn't matter what, and the match could easily be over.

I would consider Shamrock and Severn the only reall submission experts as they are 2 of the few, if not only that could ACTUALLY make you submit.

WWE wont let you tap someone out other than your 1 finisher move but TRUE Sub Wrestlers have all been listed but I doubt other than ROH/Japan/ECW you will ever see people tap out to other than finishers

They should go with a gimmick like that, any submission could end the match. They should do it with Danielson, it would be a unique gimmick and would make matches more exciting to know any submission Danielson locked in could be a tap out.

The above posts are the only ones I read, thank god I had my laptop handy... 15 replies and only two accurate responses. Thanks guys. I was actually being pretty generous... I said there's guys not listed and left it open to wrestlers of older generation like the Von Erichs. But Dean Malenko to my knowledge used just 1 submission in the WWE; Texas Cloverleaf. That being said sounds like Undertaker is a dark-horse. He had the dragon sleeper, triangle choke, and the gogoplata plus I could swear he's used the ankle lock or a leg grapevine. Chris Benevermind goes with the various and I'd say Saturn but I think we'd look at his WCW/ECW career not the WWE. So surprising the truest WWE submission specialist is the Undertaker.
