First off, I still stand my ground on the belief that Chael "deserves" a rematch, or was "screwed" in any way. He himself has admitted that he was more or less out, that he tapped, and that is that. With that being said, I do also believe that a rematch should take place at some point.
Going into the bout, no one was aware of Silva's injury. Everyone from the announcers, to the critics, to Sonnen himself have said that Silva....well, didn't seem like Silva. After almost 24 minutes of domination, we were clued in that despite doctor's advice, Silva had gone into the fight with a broken rib.
So, being a fight fan as well as a Silva fan, I can't help but ask the question that I don't think anyone has. What really caused Silva's performance (or lack there of)? Was the rib injury so severe that it caused Silva to slow his motions and get taken down almost as will, or was Sonnen's power and skill too much to handle?
There are those that feel a rematch should take place simply based on the performance by Chael, while I think it should take place based on the performance of Anderson. I suppose the question know, is what do you think?

No rematch now. Do one a little bit more down the line.
Just do Sonnen vs. Belfort to decide who Anderson gets next. I think Belfort will win that one.
Silva's timing looked incredibly off and he didn't look quite himself, so it's possible he had a bad injury and it could have put a damper on his performance, but a win is a win. He was trying that triangle the entire fight and finally got it. He worked for it.

He certainly seemed off. That is not taking anything away from Sonnen...he did a great job.
But from the beginning everything seemed off. Silva comes out the same way every fight. But for this last fight he comes out in a gi? sonnen talked a lot of crapon bjj.So I figured like most that Anderson wanted to finish this fight by submission. So when he got tagged and was wobbly I thought ok Silva wants this to go to the ground. He is playin possom and is going to sink in a triangle choke. But then he was getting beat up on the ground too. So for 23 minutes I was watching the fight with my jaw on the floor not quite sure wtf was going on.
So I would love to see a rematch just to see what would happen with an even more confident and motivated Chael Sonnen vs. a healthy Anderson Silva.

Well, broken ribs make it hard to even breath at times. So to actually fight with one shows his true grit, and determination to remain champion.
But I agree form both ends. Not immediately, but I think there should be a rematch. If I'm Anderson, I want a rematch to show Chael that I can wipe the floor with him when I'm completely healthy. If I'm Chael, I want a rematch to show Anderson that I can beat him, injury or not.

I completely agree with Sonnen vs Belfort, especially with Belfort coming out against waiting for Silva to heal. Not to mention, for those that don't think an immediate rematch should happen, it would appease all if Sonnen wins.
As for the fight it's self, Silva landed more strikes on his feet in the last 3 rounds, but he never seemed to be able to get his strikes in, and then get out of harms way. Similar in fashion was the Henderson fight, where Silva was able to get Dan with some great strikes in the second, while keeping distance so he couldn't be taken down.
Anyone who says he wasn't trying for that submission all night wasn't watching the same fight I was. I also saw at least one armbar attempt as well.

I loved this fight, not sure if Silva wanted a Big NOG like victory, probably not but its still kinda ironic. Anyway, didn't Wandy have to pull out of his fight because of a broken rib?

I wanted a rematch, but then I would think that Silva will still come out on top, he couldn't be beaten when he's now in his prime.
