I wish i didn't buy the ESR I have now when I don't even watch WWE  anyways this is surely a PHENOMENAL figure! best head sculpt ever of Andre and I am amazed how JAKKS and Mattel can each come out with an Andre. |

The look was wack. lol lol yeah out of the 13 years of being a wrestling fan, when I think of Andre i think of the look Jakks made of him for a while and the look that Mattel has made. I would however like a Legends 2 pack or a Defining moments figures of Big John Studd and Andre The Giant with a bag of money from Wrestlemania 1  |

If you didn't get the Raw ESR I would say wait because it will be the same as the Raw one with a classic look and it will come with Andre which is a better deal IMO |

That figure is down right amazing.
I don't care a lot for cloth ring gear though. It does look good considering, but I may have to do some customizing when I get it.
Either way, the scan looks perfect and the body is great. I can't wait to see the ring.

WOW! That looks FANTASTIC. Not sure what was done differently but mattel really stepped up in the headscan department on this one. One of the best scans for sure, definitely andres best and here i thought the jakks one was.  Really good figure which id buy for sure but i wont be getting that ring so hopefully he comes out in a singles set sometime. Also this is a proto so things could still change, it would be good if the singlet came up a bit higher but im blown away as is. |

Maybe Jakks has rights to Andre up to the end of this year, But Mattel has rights starting in 2011? Maybe the both have whatever rights they want. The family may have made two deals and refused to be exclusive to either company. This has happend before guys. Got spike dudly, and nash when they were with tna. I honestly think its "gimmick restricted". Here's what I mean.... We're getting a Japan/NWA Andre in the LOTR line. Which is understandable as the LOTR series is tied to Japan/NWA. Yet in the Legends line we're getting the single strap WWF version of Andre which is what he wore only during his time in the WWF. Another example is Bill Eadie. In the LOTR series we're getting a Masked Superstar, which was active in NWA/MACW. Yet in the Legends line we get Demolition Ax which was active only in the WWF. So basically I think wrestlers have figured out a way to get more $$ by not going exclusive and getting double the contracts. Im sure there are a few more people that could do the same... Barry Darsow, Steve Keirn, Terry Taylor, Kerry Von Erich, Big Bubba/Bossman, Matt Borne, Curt Hennig, Harley Race.....just to name a few. |
