We reported last week that WWE Nexus member Skip Sheffield did indeed suffer a broken ankle at a recent house show event. The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that the injury is a compound fracture of the left ankle, and Sheffield will need surgery as soon as the swelling subsides. The injury is expected to sideline Sheffield for 4 to 6 months, which may not bode well for the Raw star in the long term, as recent reports are indicating that the Nexus storyline might be ending by October

Husky should replace Sheffield as the enforcer, and Alex Riley should replace Darren Young. Now that would be an awesome faction.

Why would it end in October? Split the team and push couple of them to SmackDown for Syfy premiere? @cobra -- I know you're a big Nexus fan, but was stretching the page needed? |

Husky should replace Sheffield as the enforcer, and Alex Riley should replace Darren Young. Now that would be an awesome faction. Nexus is basically a formation made to push Wade Barrett and get him over. Alex Riley is too important for that. |

I still don't get why people want Season 2 NXT guys to be in a group of Season 1 guys who started the group with a purpose for themselves.

I don't get why you would want to see the group split, they have more impact as a team. There image is a powerful force, when you split it up, the image goes away.

Honestly the Nexus angle is much of that of Goldberg. They were dominating and beating everyone up and then they had the big match and lost. To me, they dont have any momentum anymore. Barrett and Danielson are both starting to blossom as singles stars and Gabriel can make a decent mid carder but the rest are finally showing what everyone's been saying. They're nothing but jobbers.

Sucks that Skip had to get hurt, I was actually enjoying him ALOT more as the psycho heel as opposed to the corny redneck.
I really like the idea of Sheffield & Otunga as a tag team. Both guys have similar builds. But different styles & gimmicks. They seem to go well together.
once the Nexus angle is done and over, when Sheffield is ready to come back I'd like to see a storyline build with Otunga and whoever are the Tag champs...Otunga wants the tag belts and goes through a few partners that don't help at all...then cue Sheffield with the return. Take the belts & dominate

Wade Barrett is my favorite wrestler so I'm definitely okay with that. But at the same time, I still love the Nexus and I'd like to see them become a serious faction. However, if that isn't the plan and the Nexus is just a way to push Barrett, then I won't complain. If Nexus does end soon, then at least Barrett will be getting a HUGE singles push, and I'm definitely okay with that. |
