Lucha Libre USA Presents: " Masked Warriors[/b]" on MTV2Jul. 16, 2010 from the Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, CA. We open with a video featuring some of the stars we're going to see on the show doing some moves inside an empty studio in a four sided ring and a promise that the quest for the Lucha Libre USA Heavyweight Championship begins tonight. The crowd looks amped up and ready for action so let's take it to the ring with Nigel Sherrod and Lalo Gonzalez set to call all the action! 6 models make their way to ringside in skimpy bikinis, 3 with a flag of Mexico and the other 3 with the American flag. They surround the ring and wave the flags as the opening contests participants make their entrance. Tinieblas, Jr. (cp), Neutronic and El Limón b. Mentallo (cp), Phoenix Star and ZokreWe introduce the new fans who are unfamiliar to Mexican wrestling with a traditional lucha libre tag team match. The rules are simple: if the captain is pinned {captain's are indicated by (cp)} then the match is over. The only other way to win the match is to pin the other 2 members of the team simultaneously. This was a great way to get the show on the road and show everyone, mainly the new fans who aren't familiar with lucha libre, what lucha libre is all about. Phoenix Star and Zokre were both pinned by Tinieblas, Jr., who hit a Flying Crossbody on Star, while Neutronic pinned Zokre with a Spike DDT. We see a tall man sitting in a jacuzzi, surrounded by scantily clad women. He introduces himself as Lujo Esquire, and he is coming to Lucha Libre USA to be the best luchadore that the world has to offer! Commercial Break -Rebecca Reyes is standing in the back along with Chi Chi and her BFF, Tigresa Caliente. The duo, absolutely covered in make-up and glitter, tell Reby that they are here to make Lucha Libre USA: Masked Warriors nothing but fabulous! Mini Park and Máscara Púrpura b. Pequeño Halloween and MisteriositoThe legendary Máscara Púrpura teamed up with Mini Park to challenge Misteriosito and Pequeño Halloween in what turned out to be not only a great tag match, but also a highly entertaining match. Mini Park's antics proved to be what made him the most over of the Técnicos, as he made a fool out of both Pequeño and Misteriosito. Máscara hit Halloween with a nice German Suplex before tagging in Mini Park, who nailed a Moonsault from the top to finish Pequeño off! Commercial Break -Marco Corleone (with Solid) b. Lizmark, Jr. in the LLUSA Heavyweight Title TournamentWe bring the show to a close with easily the best known star on the roster to North American fans, Marco Corleone taking on Lizmark, Jr. in the first match in the Lucha Libre USA Heavyweight Championship tournament! Corleone had his friend Solid in his corner, but he was more intent on eating his box of donuts than helping Corleone out. When it looked like Lizmark, Jr. was setting up Corleone to end the match, Corleone countered by Dropkicking Lizmark, who was attempting a Crossbody from the top. A few moments later and Corleone nailed the Air Corleone and it was all she wrote. As Marco celebrates his victory with Solid, Sydistiko comes sprinting to the ring and begins fighting with Marco, while Lizmark clotheslines Solid down. Corleone begins firing punches at Lizmark and Sydistiko, until Rellik comes walking to the ring. Rellik climbs onto the apron and headbutts Corleone before entering the ring and grabbing ahold of Corleone by the throat and hitting a Chokeslam. Lizmark and Sydistiko pick Solid up and toss him to Rellik, who hits a Big Boot. The trio of Rellik, Sydistiko and Lizmark, Jr. pose in the ring together to bring the show to a close.

Liking the start of this. Like how the roster is slightly different, wish you would've brought in L.A. Park though for another slightly recognizable name. Hoping to see Carlitos come in also. Hope to see Tag Belts introduced eventually because I really like the Puerto Rican Powers and want them to have something to do. Good to see Corleone advance in the tournament as he is your biggest name, but I would've also liked to have seen Lizmark Jr. advance. Keep this up, you have a reader in me.

Just to let you know, I don't know a thing about this. But I'll be checking this out frequently. Just letting you know just it case you think I'm trying to be shady. Nice format by the way.

I'm so glad you decided to go through with this idea. Sucks that it won't be part of Indy Nation though . I agree that you should have brought in LA Park. I honestly don't know many of the names, but I enjoyed the show overall. I did know the two guys in the main event, and that was my favorite match. Looking forward to more in this.

So far this looks great the additions to the roster looks good esp Ryan who you should make you main heel, I don't like Areoform or whatever they are called being heels they should be face jobbers, love starting off with a captains tag like the actual show as it introduces the rules to the crowd, putting Zorke and Star in was also a good idea, I look forward to seeing Lujo Esquire when he debuts, Mini Park is great so its good to see him in there, would have loved Mascarita Dorada to be Park's partner but I hope he's in single action next week easily for me one of my favs in LLUSA, glad Corleone won just don't put Solid in action...ever, I like the rudo trio at the end just please don't make Sydistico a sidekick, I hope to see both Syd and Rellik advance when they get a championship qualifier, please keep this up and good luck.

Lucha Libre USA Presents: " Masked Warriors[/b]" on MTV2Jul. 23, 2010 from the Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, CA. Nigel Sherrod and Lalo Gonzalez are at ringside to call all of the action tonight, and they seem like they couldn't be any happier to be there. They announce our main event as tag team action featuring Marco Corleone, the only man who has advanced in the Lucha Libre USA Heavyweight Title tournament, teaming with Solid to take on Tinieblas, Jr. and Neutronic! Rellik b. Máscara Púrpura in the LLUSA Heavyweight Title TournamentRellik, one of the more known characters in Lucha Libre USA to the North American fans, took on Máscara Púrpura in the second of four tournament matches to crown the inaugural Lucha Libre USA Heavyweight Champion. Púrpura and Rellik worked a great contest that saw Rellik dominate for most of it. Púrpura began to fight back, but Rellik soon stopped Púrpura's momentum in his tracks with a huge Big Boot. A few moments later and Rellik hit Púrpura with the Genocide Driver, which got him the win. Solid is shown in the back, stretching in his locker ahead of his scheduled tag match with Marco Corleone against Tinieblas, Jr. and Neutronic. Lizmark, Jr. enters the room and begins yelling at Solid in Spanish. Solid chases Lizmark out of the room, but runs into an assault from Sydistiko. The masked duo of Lizmark, Jr. and Sydistiko put the boots to Solid before they walk off as if nothing happened. Commercial Break -Sweet Papi Sanchez b. Chi Chi (with Tigresa Caliente)A comedic, yet entertaining contest here from the former WWE development worker Sweet Papi Sanchez and the Exotico Chi Chi, who had her BFF Tigresa Caliente in her corner. Sanchez was insanely over with the crowd, with his gimmick being that he hands candy out to the fans. Sanchez picked up the win over the Exotico with a Chokeslam. Reby Sky is in the back with Marco Corleone, who is pacing in circles. Reby asks him if the tag team main event is still scheduled to happen. Corleone confirms it will, but Solid won't be his partner because he's hurt and can't compete. Reby asks Marco who his partner will be, but Marco tells her that he has someone in mind before he walks off, leaving Reby to guess who. Commercial Break -Marco Corleone and Lujo Esquire b. Tinieblas, Jr. and Neutronic via DisqualificationMarco's partner turned out to be the 6'7" Lujo Esquire, who was making his LLUSA: Masked Warriors debut. Lujo and Corleone took on the Rudo's Tinieblas, Jr. and Neutronic, who worked very well together. Lujo's size proved to help him keep control over Tinieblas and Neutronic, but it wasn't long until the Rudo's were able to take Lujo down by working away at his legs. Corleone got the hot tag in, taking down Tinieblas and knocking Neutronic off the apron. Lujo got the tag again a few moments later, and Tinieblas, Jr. dived onto Lujo's back and tried ripping his mask off. Lujo flips Tinieblas off his back and adjusts his mask before charging at him, but Tinieblas low blows Lujo and the referee calls for the bell. Tinieblas, Jr. and Neutronic re-group on the outside, but the fight ends up back in the ring. Lujo hits a Double Chokeslam onto the pair, before piling them ontop of each other and Corleone nailed the Air Corleone!

Good wat to have Aar.. er, Jesu.. I mean Lujo debut. Seems like you're going to make him a big deal, fairly quick. The first two matches, while good, are pretty much squashes. I also like the use of red and green.

Solid wrestling is a deff meh even if he doesn't step in the ring you could have just used someone different, Rellik advancing is good, I like the sound of 4 men advancing hopefully Sydistico is one, yey Solid is gone, didn't even know Sanchez left WWE, good to see him beat Chi Chi though who is only there for comedy, good way to have Esquire debut and establishing him as a top face, sad it ended at dq but it seemed right, great way to end the show with the Air Corleone, why didn't Sydistico come out, hopefully him and Mascarita Dorada are in action next week, good luck and keep this up

Dont know everyone on the roster, but i do know a few of em. Glad Rellik advanced in the tournament. Sweet Papi Sanchez is another person that i know, glad he picked up the win over Chi Chi. Don't know Marco Corleone, but as a fan of the Godfather, i like him, lol. This is very unique and different from everything else on the board.

Lucha Libre USA News & Notes - Last night's second episode of Lucha Libre USA: Masked Warriors on MTV2 averaged 0.41 thousand viewers over the course of the 1-hour broadcast. The highest rated segment was the main event of the broadcast, which saw Marco Corleone team up with the debuting Lujo Esquire against Tinieblas, Jr. and Neutronic. The rating for the show is down from the premiere show (0.42), but MTV are still said to be pleased with the rating that the broadcast scored.
MTV.com today announced that Lucha Libre USA: Behind The Mask will become a weekly broadcast, starting August 8 only on the official Lucha Libre USA website. The show will be hosted by Rebecca Reyes and give fans an insight into what goes on backstage, aswell as recapping Masked Warriors, interviews from the stars and exclusive, never-before-seen, matches! It is already being dubbed online by fans as LLUSA's take on TNA Wrestling's ReAction programme, the brainchild of Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey.
There are several names being tossed around to be joining Lucha Libre USA in the near future. Those names include Jack Evans, Alex Koslov, Sicodelico, Jr., Psicosis, Super Crazy and Gronda. Colt Cabana was originally linked with the promotion to be the color commentator of the show, but the deal fell through and instead MTV2 contacted Nigel Sherrod, formerly of WWE developmental Deep South Wrestling, to be the color commentator. Although the promotion are pleased with Nigel's work so far (the promotion taped 4 show's at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa) the currently feeling is that the promotion is still interested in Cabana and would replace Nigel with Cabana if a deal came to fruition.
Lucha Libre USA will tape the next 3 episodes of Masked Warriors on Saturday night from the Hippodrome Paramount Theatre in Springfield, MA. Confirmed for the tapings are Marco Corleone, Rellik, Sydistiko, Lujo Esquire, Lizmark, Jr., Tinieblas, Jr., Neutronic, Charly Malice and the debuting Hurricayne Helms. More names are still to be confirmed and the line-up is subject to change.

Lucha Libre USA Presents: " Masked Warriors[/b]" on MTV2Jul. 30, 2010 from the Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, CA. Nigel Sherrod and Lalo Gonzalez welcome us to the broadcast, from the Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa in Palm Sprngs, California! Lujo Esquire and Mascarita Dorada b. Chi Chi and Joey "Magnum" Ryan (with Tigresa Caliente)Joey Ryan made his Lucha Libre USA debut here tonight, tagging with the Exotico Chi Chi to take on Lujo Esquire and Mascarita Dorada of the Estrella's division. The team of Ryan and Chi Chi actually worked well together, especially for it being their first night as a team. Dorada pulled off a series of high-flying and unorthadox moves, especially for a Mini Estrella. Ryan was able to take Dorada down and work over him, until Lujo eventually got the hot tag and cleared house, nailing Ryan with a Chokeslam, which got the 3! Rebecca Reyes is standing by in the back alongside Marco Corleone and Solid. Marco tells Rebecca that it's one thing that Rellik, Sydistiko and Lizmark, Jr. have messed with him, but when you attack a friend of his like Solid, you've crossed the line. Corleone says it's only a matter of time before he gets redemption, and next week he's going to get redemption against Sydistiko! Commercial Break -Charly Malice b. El Orientál in the LLUSA Heavyweight Title TournamentSolid contest here, from 2 of the more known stars of the show to the Mexican wrestling fanbase. The entire contest went back and forth, with Orientál doing whatever he could do to stay in control over Malice, who had the crowd under his finger. It wasn't long after a huge Spinebuster that Malice won the match when Orientál tapped out to the El Pozo! Rellik, Sydistiko and Lizmark, Jr. are all in the back in a dimly-lit room. Lizmark is talking in Spanish to the others, with Sydistiko nodding constantly. Rellik, who has his hood up, doesn't say a word the entire segment. Lizmark and Sydistiko walk out the room with Rellik slowly heading out behind them. Commercial Break -Sydistiko (with Lizmark, Jr. and Rellik) b. MentalloTremendous high-flying action to close the show tonight, with Mentallo taking on Sydistiko, who has been one of the main stars on the show as of late along with Rellik and Lizmark, Jr., who were in his corner tonight. Although Sydistiko had the numbers advantage, Mentallo didn't let that stop him as he took out Rellik, Sydistiko and Lizmark all at once with a Springboard Shooting Star Press to the floor! Sydistiko picked up the victory with a Tombstone Piledriver. Rellik, Lizmark, Jr., and Sydistiko celebrate to close the show as the commentators hype the last of our opening round contests in the Lucha Libre USA Heavyweight Title tournament next week!

Love both teams in the first match Esquire and Dorado is a great big man little man team while I can see Chi Chi and Ryan working well together, hopefully we get some sleazy promos from Ryan to explain his character, Marco/Sydisco should be good could have been a second round match-up, I'm glad Malice won an advances but hope he loses in the second round unless someone big wins next week I see the finals being Marco/Rellik, love the stable between Lizmark, Rellik and TJP, I'm so glad you didn't just rush the title tourney like others would have done but I'm happy to see the opening round done, good luck and keep this up.

I really like how this is going so far. Love how you are pushing the group of Sydistiko, Rellik, and Lizmark Jr. Not really surprised to see Malice go through in the tourney, will make a good competitor along with Rellik and Corleone, although would've preferred Lizmark in Rellik's place. Wouldn't be surprised if you put Lujo as the final guy in the tourney. Would love to see more of the Puerto Rican Powers in this, they are my favorites in LLUSA. Keep it up.
