When I met my wife four and a half years ago, she didnt like wrestling and really hadnt been exposed to it much. She tolerated it but didnt really pay much attention to it because my step-son and I watched it a lot. Over the next few years I noticed her actually watching it while it was on and enjoying it. Last year when I started to collect figures she was pretty supportive and said numerous times that it was cool because it gave my step-son and I "common ground". She has now become just as big a fan as I am. And then tonight, while school shopping for my step-son, I found the Hawk and Animal legends figures and decided to get them. My wife then asked me if I would get her the Beth Phoenix Royal Rumble figure that was on the shelf. I couldnt believe it. I asked her 3 times if she was serious. So now my wife has officially started collecting wrestling figures. I think its kinda cool that its something that we can all do as a family. My 6 month old son even has a John Cena Burger King plush toy. This is gonna get expensive.....

That's pretty cool. My girlfriend and I have been dating for nearly 3 years now and is kind of the same story in a way. She use to kind of hate wrestling but she was supportive about it. I took her to some local shows and she enjoyed em even though she did not want to admit it. She goes figure hunting with me all the time and even helps me customize (she's better at it than I am). She acts like she does not actually like wrestling but every now and then she will reference it and get excited when Sheamus or Goldust are on (her favorites). She does not collect the figures but its cool that she is supportive and starting to like watching it. She surprised me today when she brought up the fact that NXT Season 3 is starting on tuesday and she's excited (I did not even tell her thats when it starts).

i guess I'll throw my 2 cents in. When i met the wife many moons ago she didn't watch wrestling yes she knew of Hogan and that he did wrestle but she didn't watch it. I usually have friends over for RAW and she would come and sit down with us for like little pieces of time. and the more and more RAWs she watched the more time she spent watching them. to a point she was screaming at the TV for HBK to kick out of a pin. She loves the live shows and thinks there is nothing like it. The more and more figures i bought got the wife thinking. Now I collect wrestling figures and she Collects Disney Cars. She wanted to collect more and she said i want to collect every HBK and Cena figure. I told her well that might be near impossible lol. I then suggested why not get every Cena and HBK figure that Mattel Produce. She said coolio and now she has a Cena and HBK wall.
Funny story.
We were going to TRU looking for figures and we both got to the toy isle at the same time and saw the Basic 4 HBK for the first time. We both lunged for it but she came out the victor. I tried to bribe her and convince her to let me buy it. No avail she ended up walking out with that figure that day.

That is so cool. You don't know how lucky you are that you can all be wrestling fans as a family. God bless you.

My wife wasn't a big wrestling fan when we got together 9 years ago but she knew about it, I have schooled her in comics, crappy movies, wrestling, and many other things. She doesn't collect figures like I do but she will buy herself a fancy barbie, but she does buy me anything that interests me and she knows exactly what to look for. It was great when she worked at TRU a few years ago cause then she was able to get me stuff right off the truck. My wife is awesome she finds me good figures amongst other things.
