Even though it probably wouldn't be marketable (since most fans today say Frank Gotch who? and would buy a John Cena figure over a Gotch or a George Hackenschmidt ). It would be awesome if Mattel created a pioneer series.
Pioneer era in pro wrestling Ed "the Strangler" Lewis Frank Gotch George Hackenschmidt Tom Jenkins Stu Hart Earl Caddock The Great Gama Stanislaus Zbyszko
TV era Gorgeous George "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers Lou Thezs Antonino Rocca Bobo Brazil Bruno Sammratino "Classy" Freddie Blassie Danny Hodge
So what do you guys think? Would you buy this hypothetical line? If Mattel doesn't do a line like this perhaps TNA with is partnership with JAKKS could create it on their classic line.
Also Gotch and Hackenschmidt deserve a figure.

This would have to be a limited edition boxset. If they only made 500 0r 1000 it would sell and be highly sought after by collecters. The guys that consider themselves "wrestling historians" would be all over this.

I feel like e-mailing Mattel this perhaps we will see Gorgoeus George since the WWE is fliming a movie about him and since he is a Hall of Fame Member.

I wouldn't buy it. Heck, I haven't even got any interest in Dusty Rhodes. For me, it's pretty much only stuff from 1991 onwards, when I first got into wrestling. Even Rick Rude vs Warrior was a little before my time.

It'll be cool if they were black & white figures.

I totally didn't even see this post before I suggested the gotch vs hackenschmidt. Atleast someone is on the same page.
