Not really. The University is the one stating that they'll offer shovels to volunteers. Its the Vikings organization that's offering to pay volunteers. Psh. Details, details.

Great, Steve Smith will now be the 5th Giants WR this season to be put on season ending IR (Hixon, Barden, Moss, Cruz are the others).
Then there's the already banged up and injured leftovers.... Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham.
The Giants have literally had every single WR on the roster suffer an important injury this season.
We're gonna find out how much resolve this defense has, going forward. Hopefully Eli isn't throwing into triple coverage this week.
Bradshaw has a wrist injury too.

Eli should barely be throwing at all. Their running game and defense is strong enough to make up for Eli's Brees'ing it out there with the picks.

Eli should barely be throwing at all. Their running game and defense is strong enough to make up for Eli's Brees'ing it out there with the picks. When he throws that inside slant route to Nicks, I feel it helps the running game though. Gets those linebackers worried and the rush won't open up if Eli isn't producing... and vice versa. Eli's confidence is long gone though. He had it last season (his best ever) and in the beginning of this season (the INT's early weren't really his fault)... but lately, yea, all the INT's are his fault and he's making poor throws and poor decisions.

Alright, the Jets Strength Coach has become public enemy #1. I was glad to see him be suspended for the rest of the year. The guy committed a despicable act. But then fine him 25K?!?! Hell, Haynesworth didnt even receive an additional fine beyond the lost money for his suspension when he stomped the Cowboys receiver in the head. That act I consider one of the most despicable acts in the league EVER. Not to mention this coach only makes 50K to start with. So you fine him half his gross salary?! How is that fair? NFL players could and have done worse and none of them have ever been fined half their NFL salaries! I am not trying to defend this guy or his act. I even said that I would have no issue if the man was fired. But the fine is excessive. And now the Jets have come out and suspended him indefinitely. Just fire the ing guy and move on. Dont have him swing in limbo.

Wasn't the Haynesworth thing before Goodell?

Not to defend Haynesworth or anything, but players do lose their tempers, play with emotion and sometimes are just dirty players. Its the game. That was a god damn coach who tripped a player. This guy made a stupid decision and is paying for it. 25K a lot of money? Sure. But he should be lucky he still has a job.

Wasn't the Haynesworth thing before Goodell? I think so. That explains everything. But I do believe what they did to the coach was the right move. I'm a Jets fan, but what he did was horrible. He's not even a player, and that could have easilly hurt the Dolphins player. I'm glad he was suspended and fined, he deserved it.

I think there is more to the story that is not coming out and that is why the Jets didn't fire him. Figure it this way they fire him now he comes out says i got fired b/c they told me to stand there and then sad i would be fired if i didn't or w/e which could of very well happened we don't know. They say hey look we are going to suspend you keep it all under the rug about what we told you to do and then next year when we begin we bring you back and no one really cares. Sounds logical to me if you think about it.

I am going to pick up Austin Collie, who is now healthy it seems. Is he a start over Steve Smith of the Panthers obviously? I mean its either Smith or Sims Walker for me
