To me it would be cool if Mattel made the wrist tape like Undertaker's, Rey's, & Truth's glove extension. That way if someone who customizes wants to change color or just remove it all together, they can.
Basic 2 Kane had one done on his left arm, and I thought it turned out great and I'd like to see it again. Just make it with a few creases to look like tape and make different sizes for guys like Swagger who wear them longer. They could even make Cena's, & Kofi's textured to look more like a sweatband.
I'm sure I'll be on this island all alone, but I figured I'd share my thought.

If they want to switch painted on wrist tape all they have to do is take some paint and paint over it a different color.

If they want to switch painted on wrist tape all they have to do is take some paint and paint over it a different color. not everyone can cleanly paint on a figure. id be way too nervous about messing up and ruining the figure. as for the idea. im kind of indifferent. i dont mind wrist tape the way it is now but if they went with ur idea i wouldnt mind it either. its not a bad idea at all but its something i dont see a lot of people really caring about enough to change it.

No matter how it's done, I'd like to see sculpted wrist tape show up too. They definitely have to do stuff like Cena's armbands, though.

They can't paint well, but they can pull off hands just fine without breaking them? I think it'd be easier to paint them than to tug and pull the hands off to switch wristbands. Plus, they'd probably be glued on, so you'd have to tackle that problem as well.

I like this idea, even with out the thought of the replacing and switching them it'd be much nicer to have wrist tape that is sculpted.

Painting some lines onto the wrist tape simulating texture could work also.
