With just one controller and the cords to hook it up with. I used to buy and sell so many of these things back in the early 90s for around the same prices I see them going for today. I need one to play Tecmo Wrestling and Little League Baseball. I dont want to get ripped off. I was thinking around 25 dollars.

I usually see them go for around $40 with controller and power cord/AV cables.

A good quality one in decent running shape is a about 40 bucks. A top loader goes for about 80-100 bucks on average and you can get countless "3rd party" systems, which are just modern day bootlegs of NES hardware that play the majority of NES and SNES games for 40 bucks.

if i were you, i'd check out local valu villages and the like before spending the 40. i've gotten many NESs for as low as 10 bucks that were fully working, and at the worst you'll need a new FC connector pin which is only like 15 bucks, so you'd still be saving cash.

Yeah between $25-$35 if the power supply and av cables work sounds fair. It seems the value of these are going up recently. Last NES purchase I made was an orange zapper gun for like $5 at a flea market. I'd recommend looking there for extra controllers/games.

Don't spend more then $25 on one for sure. You could probably find one much cheaper and just replace the 72 pin connector. About $10, I have two toaster style NES's and a toploader. The toploader has to many lines in the screen though, So just stick with the toaster style.

Do not pay more than $25. I used to buy and sell old school game systems and I sold them for $25. I sold them with 1 controller, all hook ups and a $2 game as a freebie

My NES came with Zapper, 2 controllers, and the cords. Works perfectly. 30 bucks. Unfortunately don't have that many games, only 4 I found in a trashbag - Original Punch Out, Mario/Duck Hunt, Tecmo Bowl, and a cartridge that has the lode runner sticker but is actually Top Gun.

unless you're dedicated in getting an original, look for a Retron system. The 5 is REALLY nice, but the 1, 2, or 3 would more than suit you needs.

The top gun game with the lode runner sticker seems interesting. Is it an error

No clue why it's Top Gun.
