Sonnen Takes Jabs at Georges St-Pierre, Brock Lesnar and Anderson Silva

Anderson Silva taps out Chael Sonnen at UFC 117.It didn't take long.
Five weeks after Chael Sonnen dominated UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva for four and a half rounds, only to have the title fight culminate in a late triangle submission win for Silva, Sonnen is back.
In the months leading up to the main event at UFC 117 last month, Sonnen's pre-fight talk was arguably the most memorable and discussed in UFC history. And with a rematch around the corner, though still unannounced, Sonnen got off to an early start during Tuesday's UFC Fight Club Q&A session in Austin, Texas.
But it wasn't just Silva in Sonnen's crosshairs. He had plenty to say about welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and even a quick jab at Wanderlei Silva. He even shared the start of a poem he's writing for Silva.
All in day's work for the UFC's resident mouth.
Some highlights of Tuesday's Q&A session before the UFC Fight Night 22 weigh-ins in Austin:
On Silva: "Is Anderson here right now? I'll kick his ass from Austin all the way to San Antonio! ... He's a very good fighter. He's got a lot of skills. He's just not as good as me. He's not the best guy in the world. He never has been. He's a sham."
On the potential to move down to face St-Pierre or move up to face Shogun Rua: "GSP had better pray to heaven above that Shogun accepts my challenge, 'cause one of those two guys is gettin' beat up."
On what he would say if St-Pierre challenged him: "If GSP said he wanted to fight me, the first thing I would say is the first thing I say every time I hear GSP talk: 'Gol dangit! That sounds like a French Canadian Minnie Mouse!' That's the first thing I'd say. Then I'd say, 'GSP, lemme ask you a serious question. Do you have designated driver, someone to get you home safely? 'Cause clearly, you're intoxicated.' I would say, 'GSP, do you have a hankering for pain?' 'GSP, did you lose a bet with God?' 'GSP, bring your $3,000 suit, bring your $3 date and get the 3-cent tan beat off your socialist back.' That's what I would tell GSP."
On fighting your friends: "If you're in the UFC, you're on the wrong side of Chael Sonnen. I got no friends from 9 to 5."
On Silva's dominance as champion vs. St-Pierre's dominance as champion: "GSP is one of these guys, not only did he clear out his division, he's about to clear out his division a second time over. That was always one of my gripes with Anderson, where everyone's talking about how good Anderson is. I'm going, 'Guys, MAYBE. He never fought the No. 1 guy in the world.' Anderson's been champ four years. For three years, he sat behind Paulo Filho. They went and worked out together. Paulo kicked his butt. And so Anderson decides to massage his ego and say what friends they are so he doesn't have to fight him. I go destroy Paulo Filho, then Anderson suddenly moves into the No. 1 spot. So I don't get it. I don't know who it is he fought that's supposed to be so impressive. (Yushin) Okami beat him, he's ducked Okami. I challenged him for four years, so he ducked me. Machida beat him up in practice so now all of a sudden he and Machida are buddies. This is a scam. It's a work. And it's about time we caught on. GSP, on the other hand, has beat everybody in the division and he's beaten them for the second time."
On the potential to be a coach on "The Ultimate Fighter": "Whether it's Anderson and I, or GSP and I, I think that may happen. I'm an attention whore; that's the business that I'm in. I'd love to be on TV once a week."
On Michael Bisping: Bisping's shown some stuff. He stepped in there with Dan Henderson, and that's a scary thing to do. He stepped in there with Wanderlei Silva, who used to be a fighter, and that's a scary thing to do. I think you gotta give him a little bit of leeway. He goes out and fights hard. ... But he's managed to rub people the wrong way." (Note: Not long after the comment about Silva, Sonnen did an official UFC appearance signing autographs next to him at an Austin sporting goods store.)
On one of the reasons he wants another crack at Anderson Silva: "I don't care how long it goes. I like beating up Anderson Silva. That's the honest truth. I like punching him 'cause I know what a bully is. He punched my friends. He beat up two teammates of mine and I haven't forgotten that."
On Lesnar: "If Brock Lesnar was here right now, I'd take my boot off and throw it at him. And he better polish it up before he brings it back to me. That guy comes around here talkin' about he's the baddest guy in the UFC? Hey Brock, quit eating so many raw eggs and doing pushups, 'cause it's effecting your realm on reality. Are you kidding me? I'd slap you in your face and you wouldn't do anything about it, Brock. 'But I'm Brock Lesnar! I've got this $5 haircut and a knife tattooed on my chest!' Well I'll shove it up through your face if you get in Chael Sonnen's way."
Finally, the poem he's been working on for Silva: "Anderson, think it through. There's still a few months before they lock the door behind me and you. Last time, they raised your hand – but it was plain to see. I took a lot more out of you than you took out of me. I broke the mirror and I blew away the smoke. It was me who tapped, but it was you who broke."
