This is actually quite shocking. UFC is usually nice to the TUF winners after losses.

Whaaaaa? Talk about a premature release (giggidy) for someone who isn't doing too bad. Hopefully the cut does nothing but great things for his career though. Could be good for him to get out there in MMA world and take on some tough challengers across the globe. He looked good in his wins, but the 2 losses showed he has some rough edges to smooth out.
Still pretty surprising. There's plenty of other guys coming off of losses as well that can go against him to see where he really stands.

This is actually the first time (besides Lutter on the comeback season) a TUF winner has been released.

Yeah, and at least that release had some merit to it, with Lutter struggling to make weight all the time.
It's even more shocking when you look at other winners like Mac Danzig, Kendal Grove, and Joe Stevenson. All of them have had skids in the company as well, with disappointing losses. Maybe there was a little more to this than we know.

Wow, I expected Grove to be the first TUF winner to be relased for his inconsistancy. Even though he's a favorite of mine. Didn't expect Efrain to ge the ax so soon. In fact, I was going over in my head who he'd be fighting next.

Could be due to the fact he came in at 159.

Wow...that's really surprising to say the least. He's a hell of a fighter and if he gets some wins under his belt, I can see him back in the UFC for sure at some point.

Never really liked him but surprised by this. Has had two recent losses but both to well regarded future stars, think its more to do with his weight cutting.
I'm sure it won't take long for SF to come knocking

Wow that sucks. First he loses 20% of his purse to Oliviera for not meeting weight. Then he gets choked out by Oliviera. Then he gets cut. Not a good series of events for the kid. Much luck to him.
