In an update to the story, PWInsider.com is reporting that there was a general sigh of relief amongst talent in the locker room when they heard the news of the trip not taking place. The feeling is that while the talent doesn't mind the actual show and the work they do over seas, the flight itself on the cargo plane, which also carries all the equipment including the ring, is one of the most dreaded trips of the year. Talent is said to be much more pleased about doing a domestic Tribute show

Damn well that is news to me! I guess the wwe was just like we had enough to Iraq. I know the war is over but don't we still have a ton of troops still there? At least they are doing the tribute show here..

sounds like bullcrapto me. TTTT is usually for volunteers that want to go over there. doubt the same guys would go year after year if it was so terrible.

*Waits for someone to say "they hate America"*
I heard one time the trip was 23 hours, am I right?
But that sucks because that is the one thing troops look forward to each Christmas time.

According to RVD even though its for Volunteers, They still try to make you go. RVD said alot of people are too worried to stand up and say they arn't going.

This is the dirt sheets hearing that the trip over is hard from interviews, and then re-interpreting it in a story when the right time arrives. Classic dirt sheet.

Its not them not wanting to go to iraq, its more them not liking the flight to iraq

I hope this isn't true that the wrestlers are happy about this. Because that means that all the stuff they have bees saying all these years is just bullsh*t about how they feel like it is the most rewarding thing they do all year and how it's the most important show all year besides Wrestlemania.

No one said it was not rewarding or anythign else. It is simply the flight that takes 23 hrs straight stuck on a cargo plane. Sleeping, eating, and "relaxing" on those kinda planes is not pleasent./

People are probably looking way to much into this. They're probably happy they dont have to fly 20 some odd hours this year. Its not necessarily the event but the trip they didnt like. Now that most of the troops are home they can still show their support and not have to spend those hours on the plane

Did you read the entire article? Yeah I did. And boo F'N hoo. Wrestlers should be prepared for travel when they decide that this is what they want to do for a living. I'm sure if you ask Daniel Bryan how he felt before he finally got signed by WWE and he would probably say that if he had the opportunity to do a tribute to the troops or a show like wrestlemania that he would walk their on broken glass on his hands and knees. I went to college with Brian Myers aka Curt Hawkins, and trust me, he would have done anything, walked any distance, and sat in a car or on a plane for any amount of time in order to perform on the big stage as well. It's for the troops. You sit on the plane and take it like a pro. The troops have to endure so much more, and trust me, they don't complain about it.

Not trying to instigate with anyone, but very well put. I sort of scoffed at your first reply but you really opened my eyes with that reply.
