No fighting please. This is a simply 15 question quiz that was a part of a greater religious study. Jewish people and those who are Atheists got the most correct in the general religion education test. I got 12 out of 15 right, which is 80% which means I did better than every religious and non religious group. I got questions 4, 6 and 15 wrong. What about you? features.pewforum.org/quiz/us-religious-knowledge

I got 4 and 6 wrong. I got one wrong in reference to the communion. But my answer was still right according to the Christian religion, not the Jewish religion. I can't believe that people actually believe that the bread and juice turns into Jesus's blood after they partake of it.

I can't believe that people actually believe that the bread and juice turns into Jesus's blood after they partake of it. The question was related to Catholicism. It did specifically ask what Catholics believe, not what other Christions believe so you were wrong. The question says, "Which of the following best describes the Catholic teaching about the bread and wine used for Communion?" Anyway, I got 14/15. I was torn between whether the Jewish Sabbath is on Friday or Saturday and totally swung and missed. But then only 45% of survey takers got that right so I'm in good company I think. I was shocked that 90% of people got question 15 wrong and 80% of people thought that teachers can't legally read from the Bible as a literary source.

I said that I was right according to Christianity. My ignorance led me to believe that Catholics may have believed the same thing. Then I pointed out how strange that was to believe.

I got all 15 correct, but world religions are probably the thing in life I'm most interested in, as one can tell by most of my posts on here. I come from a 50% Jewish, 50% Protestant Christian background.

I guess that's what confused me then because Catholics are Christians. No sir. They're not Umm, yes they are. A Christian is defined as "a person who believes in Jesus Christ; adherent of Christianity. " The Catholic Church is certainly a church that believes in Jesus Christ. Now, you can disagree with their theology all day long and I'd be in full agreement with you for the most part, but they're still a Christian church at the end of the day.

Now, you can disagree with their theology all day long and I'd be in full agreement with you for the most part, but they're still a Christian church at the end of the day. The main three branches of mainstream Christianity are Eastern Orthodox Christianity, Roman Catholic Christianity, and Protestant Christianity (with the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic branches splitting in 1054); there are also certain interesting branches such as Western Rites (churches using Western Europe liturgy who are in communion with the Eastern church) and Eastern Catholic (churches in Eastern Europe in communion with the Roman Catholic church), etc. I think what this guy you quoted may be doing - assuming he might be a devout Protestant - is accusing Roman Catholicism of not being true Christianity, because he considers it heretical. In statistics and data that include information about Roman Catholicism, it is considered a mighty branch of Christianity in all cases, but a radical anti-Catholic may consider it not true Christianity because they see it as extremely heretical.
