Not totally, but use them really sparingly. They really reduce the figure's articulation and most figures that have them would be better (and more accurate) using the small ones. At the moment it seems like the vast majority use the larger kneepads, and it should be the other way around.

The large knee pad mold is useless if you ask me. The knee pads that wrestlers wear look nothing like these. It's about the only gripe I have with Mattel's design team on this.
Even Dusty Rhode's larger knee pads work better than the ones you find on Koslov or Mr. Perfect. And there's nothing wrong with the Steve Austin or Rock/Orton style knee pads.

I think they get in the way, but I thought Kozlov's kneepads were much softer than Elite HHH's kneepads from series 2.
I really don't like it when they are used incorrectly like with some of Jericho's figures and Mr. Perfect as mentioned.
Maybe they can use stretchy cloth like the one used for Dusty Rhodes' polka dot top for knee pads every once in a while.

The large one's do suit a fair few wrestlers in terms of looks but they do tend to restrict playability but seems Mattel listened and tried improving them since the pair i got with Elite 6 Batista were soft and easier to bend.
In the mattel survey, i did mention knee pads that they could do with using the Small and Medium sizes more and even making some new styles that could work better.

I agree with everything said above to a T! those kneepads should be used sparingly and the smaller ones look great and leave plenty of playability.
Also, the figures that have kickpads have all been given the larger kneepads (in the elite line at least, except MVP) which really takes away from the figures. I end up switching the pads on these such figures as CM Punk and Chris Jericho.

Mattel we know your listening, please get rid of the large knee pads. They are horrible. We are all swapping them out anyway.
