I dug the film for the most part, but it's not nearly as disgusting as everyone thinks.
The teaser for the sequel was lame.

I guess I'm not quite sure how they're making the second one though? Anybody whose seen the first should know what I mean.

The sickness isnt what its made out to be. Its more about what your mind creates from the movie, then what you see on the screen. Hopefully this one doesnt hold back. Make me puke! I guess I'm not quite sure how they're making the second one though? Anybody whose seen the first should know what I mean. if that teaser posted is supposed to break the fourth wall, then it might look like theyre going to make this one seem like a documentary, acknowledging the cameras, and the first one being just a "movie". Also the director might take on a role in it too? That, or this teaser was simply an introduction. That guy under the box will be the new guy in the scientists place and the video posted is just to get people pumped for the movie (and it will be a movie, not "documentary")

I was disappointed after watching this so I went and watched Serbian Movie hoping to see something truly shocking, and that's probably the best shocking movie with decent production and acting, better than Cannibal Holocaust or those boring ones about Chinese torture in WW2.

The first one was awful. Terribly acted, poorly paced and the entire premise was completely laughable. There was absolutely no artistic angle to it and the only reason it succeeded was because of how is was marketed. Even something as pathetic as Hostel had more of a shock factor. I'm quite curious about A Serbian Film. I've been trying to read up as little as possible on it (in case I do decide to watch it eventually) but from what little I do know, it sounds like a complete game changer in terms of shock cinema.

I heard all the Serbian Film hype, and didn't buy it. I figured, yeah, it's gory, but nothing that hasn't been done before. Well, I'm glad to say I was wrong, probably really is the most extreme movie in terms of gore that I've seen.

I do like to think of myself as quite desensitized to films like this but A Serbian Film did sound like it'd totally transcend everything I've seen before. The only film that has really effected me has been Martyrs. Unfortunately, whilst films are often marketed in such a way as ASF, they RARELY fulfil expectations (take Human Centipede, for example). Now I'll definitely make sure to give A Serbian Film a watch in the near future!

But there is a very graphic skull ing, hadn't ever seen that in a movie before, figured that pushed the bar up a bit. That's the thing though, it's not so extreme you can't believe it, but it's about as extreme as you should expect for the tale of an underground porn star's revenge tale. lol I recommend it to anyone that thinks they've seen the most extreme thing ever. I still think there is a lot of Japanese stuff that is still more disturbing, but they definitely set out to push the bar. And it really is a well made, good story, it just has some of the craziest and most f'd up gore you've ever seen. That's all.
