Watching the pre-fight interviews again made me chuckle a little. Hardy's exact words were "He's not going to hurt me with his striking, even if he has a punch."
tee hee hee.
Watching the exchange that got the KO, I realize just how bad MMA striking is. Both guys had their hands down and chins up in the air at the same time. Hell, it was almost a double KO.

Those were some good fights on Saturday. I got no problems with Bisping so good win for him. Also Kongo costing himself the win by constantly grabbing Browne's shorts was stupid. Condit winning was a bit of a shock to me.

So, after suffering two big losses back-to-back, where exactly does this leave Akiyama now?? Is his UFC career in jeopardy now or what??

So, after suffering two big losses back-to-back, where exactly does this leave Akiyama now?? Is his UFC career in jeopardy now or what?? Well I don't believe anything has been announced about him being cut, so I would assume he's good to go for at least one more fight. Though his back is probably against the wall right now. No clue as to who he'd fight next though, unless they keep him sidelined until Wandy returns.

I like it the way it is, thanks. Besides, it's not free - we pay for the sports package it's shown on. I pay for digital cable. It doesn't mean jack ****. Paying for an advanced package is completely different than paying per event for something. I pay for HBO. It's not like I'm paying $30 per episode of Entourage I watch. I don't see why England should get the PPVs for free when the rest of the country has to pay $50-$60 for them, AND get harassed and threatened for trying to find free solutions. ...sour grapes much?? You have to understand the US and UK PPV market is totally different - in the US, PPV has been around for ages and is common place, whereas in the UK it is relatively new and much less common - even when things are shown on PPV here, it is usually at a much cheaper price than the US (eg £15 compared to $40-$50). That's why the UFC chose to go on a premium (ie. paid for) subscription channel rather than a PPV basis when their TV deal expired a few years a go... it's just smart business sense - the UK UFC audience is still a growing market and they want to reach the largest market they can. Heck, even a much older/established brand like WWE only has about 6 or 7 of their events on PPV. Not to mention the timing of the events: the majority of UFC events (all the US and Canadian ones) are shown live, which is 3-6am UK time so most people can't stay up for them or watch them live... how many PPV buys would they get in the US if all the events were shown at 3am and most people couldn't watch them live? Things would certainly be different.
