IS there any chance we would get the figures of former WWE guys then? Also, could there be a chance that if TNA doesn't, but Jakks loses the license that Mattel can buy the licensing for the figures?

I'm guessing you saw that epic failure that was called Impact last night. I would guess that as long as TNA is still a company then Mattel won't make figures of their wrestlers, even if Jakks folds or whatever. However, guys like Nash, Sting, Foley, etc. that are close to retirement will probably end up in the Legends line over the next two years anyway. If TNA folds, I am simply hoping that WWE buys them and then we get a similar situation as we have had in the past with WCW and ECW.
So to answer your question, its wishful thinking all-around. In reality, we should have Hogan, Flair, Nash, Foley and maybe, but highly unlikely, Sting all in due time.

I think so yes.
It's just a shame that TNA is so tiny, if it was a big enough acquisition WWE might acknowledge it when it goes under and bring their guys in for an angle.
Unfortunatley half the guys in TNA wouldn't get anywhere in WWE.
I'd love for Beer Money, MCMG, Red, Williams and the Knockouts to be acquired by WWE when TNA dies. And I would love to have figures of them.

I could honestly see TNA continuing, but being bought up by Vince. I mean, it is a possibility.

TNA is a revolving door. Mattel's got a LENGTHY agreement with the WWE, and i doubt that most anyone in TNA (especially those w/ former WWE ties) will stay with the company for the next 5 straght years. i would expect that just about anyone you would want would be made at some point but just not anytime soon. patience is a virtue.

I will be buying Mattel for a long time, so I can wait in the 5 year period for people like flair, hogan, hardy etc. I was just wondering as I started thinking about some of the cool 2packs I used to buy when companies would buy up two products. I remember there was I believe a Sega vs. Nintendo Line way back when the Super Nintendo came out. It was pairing Sega characters with people from Street fighters. I always thought it would be a cool concept to have like this, and have 2packs of WWEvTNA such as Cena vs. Styles because they are considered the faces of their companies. Just some idea like that would be kinda cool IMO.

I could see Mattel making a Foley as Mankind even while he is in TNA. WWE owns the character and they seem to be on really good terms with Foley. Maybe a Diesel too.
But as far as the original question, I don't see what would stop WWE/Mattel from making the former workers if TNA goes away. I especially want a Mattel Kurt Angle. Multiple Kurt Angles to be exact.

I dont really see TNA going under right now. The product has been great and the ratings are raising. Also Jakks are quite happy with the way the figures are selling. Specially DI.

Specially DI. the ratings were on the rise for one super show. The company is loosing more money than ever. The day Bob Carter tells Dixie he is sick of loosing millions the company is dead. This could be tomorrow, this could be never. Id would guess sooner than later however.

I would buy a Kurt Angle Legends figure for $14.99....but not a defining moments figure for $29.99 like they are projected to cost.
The bottom line is Kurt Angle never had a whole hell of a lot of accessories, and if you look at Macho Man and Shawn Michaels, they come with very extensive entrance attire.
I don't think a Defining Moments Angle would be worth it, even if they gave him a cloth singlet, they did that with Elite 4 Big Show and it only cost $14.99.

Honestly, TNA may not go under now, but it won't be long. Last night was horrible. Half the show taken up by an in ring promo. No one from Fortune talked except Flair, what was the purpose of bringing the whole Effing Faction out to the ring? Not only that, but Jeff Hardy heel? I could see if they had a superstar who was a great baby face on the show that he turned on or something. An Angle vs. Hardy would've been great, but what's up with the whole Angle vs. Jarret thing? I can already see it now, Team Hogan vs. Team Dixie. I mean, they had so many great bearings for feuds that could have branched off of what happened at Bound for Glory. Instead, "they" are already there even though Abyss said "they" were coming. I was expecting some newer faces who had nothing to do with TNA yet. The writing is horrible, they need better in ring performances, and turning Jeff Hardy, one of the biggest fan favorites, heel was the biggest mistake TNA could have made. I'm sorry, but I feel they are going under, not now, but the path they're going in is definitely leading them to the new DVD release "The Self-Destruction of TNA"

Why does everyone say TNA is losing money all the time? Check out 411's Hamilton Ave. Journal, or any other number of sources.
TNA may not be nipping at the WWE's heels, but it's a profitable business...

I'm not saying they're losing money. I'm saying that they need to work on what they're doing or they will run themselves into the ground.

It's only a matter of time until TNA hits rock bottom, I purchase it, and make it out to be the fantastic product it deserves to be. At which point, yes, Mattel will get the rights too ALL TNA stars...until then, as others have said, Flair, Foley, Nash, 3D...MAYBE Sting at some point in the next 5 years...but don't keep an eye out for an AJ Styles/Justin Gabriel 2-Pack anytime soon...though, that would be an AWESOME 2 Pack...
