Elijah Burke earning the title match first was the best decision although it would be strange to see three heels go at it on Pay-Per-View. CM Punk retaining was also the right decision, Burke doesn't need two wins in one night and Punk only just won the championship. I like the idea of a Mike Knox 'monster' push, I could see him facing Punk at one of the upcoming pay-per-views. I hope Mike doesn't win the title, however. Good report, looking forward to more.

WWE Unforgiven: Sunday 16th September 2007...I am not sold on three heels competing for an opportunity for the ECW World Championship whatsoever. It's a great idea, resembling Barely Legal 1997, but three heels, not to mention opening the pay-per-view; it wouldn't draw well. It would have needed a face in there. Good win for Elijah Burke; he had a great match with CM Punk at this show. The Miz also did. Big Daddy V would have been fun to watch face Punk. Great defense for Punk later on just to show how meaningless the mini-contenders tournament truly was, and how much a fighting champion Punk is. Interested with Mike Knox's involvement though. I can see things intensifying even more.

-Burke winning here is nice, wonder if he wins the ECW Title. -Knox's return is pretty cool, would like to see Punk/Knox at No Mercy as something new possibly. -Good job.

09/18/07 | Philips Arena | Atlanta, GA | ECW on SciFi
We open up this week's ECW on SciFi with a small recap of what happened just two nights ago at Unforgiven. Clips of Elijah burke taking advantage of Miz's mistake and getting an opportunity at the ECW Championship later in the even was shown. Then, some stills of the Championship bout were shown, while Joey Styles talks over them. The final still shown before we cut to the ECW on SciFi opening was Mike Knox delivering a big boot to the face of CM Punk.
Then, the usual ECW on SciFi opening greeted us. Clips of ECW's roster was shown and finally, Joey Styles & his broadcast partner, Tazz, welcomed us to another great edition of ECW on SciFi! Styles makes a remark about not waiting to hear what CM Punk has to say about what happened at Unforigven. But first, we kick off tonight with some action.
Kevin Thorn def. Stevie Richards via Original Sin Solid action to open up tonight's show. The crowd was fully behind Richards, who seems to be getting a push of sorts. Either way, Thorn had the basic heel control of the match. Richards did gain some kind of offense, but after abotu 5 or 6 minutes, Thorn's strength proved to be too much for Stevie and ECW's resident vampire put the ECW Original down for the count.
Following a quick commercial break, some video footage of Unforgiven's ECW Championship match was shown.
The scene then cut to Josh Matthews, who was standing by with Elijah Burke & Mike Knox. Matthews asks Burke if he is upset at all that Knox did in fact cost Burke the match at Unforgiven. Burke tells Josh that he isn't upset one bit. In fact, it was his plan all along. Burke just doesn't want to take CM Punk's title, he wants to eliminate Punk as the new face of ECW. Burke states that if anyone is going to usher in this new era of ECW, it should be him! And with Knox by his side, who is going to stop him from doing so?
A video promoting the Boogeyman was shown. Apparently, he will be in action when we return from commerical break.
The Boogeyman def. Nunzio via Boogeyslam Your basic squash match here. Nunzio barely got any kind of offense in and Boogey just totaled him with the Boogeyslam. Crowd was pretty dead for this also. Maybe went about a minute and a half.
Following the match, The Boogeyman was about to drip some worms on the lifeless body of Nunzio, when Matt Striker & Big Daddy V came out to interrupt. Striker shouted that the Boogeyman thinks he is the scariest monster on the ECW roster, but he is overlooking the man standing beside him. V got in the ring and he started to take it to the Boogeyman. Boogey really couldn't get away from Big Daddy V and was put down with a sidewalk slam. Striker then raised V's hand as Boogeyman laid beside Nunzio on the mat.
We see the ECW Champion CM Punk make his way down a corridor. It appears he is on his way to the ring, ready to confront Elijah Burke & Mike Knox...NEXT!
The crowd went estatic as the ECW Champion, CM Punk, stepped through the curtains and made his way down to the ring, ready to fight. He had the championship draped over his shoulder and grabbed a microphone. Punk said he was wasting no time. He calls out Elijah Burke & Mike Knox right now. He wants to settle this tonight and he is ready as ever. After a few moments of waiting, Burke came down with Knox right behind him. Just before they got into the ring, Punk ask them if they were stupid. Burke & Knox stopped at the end of the entrance way as Punk explained that he wouldn't call two men out without some back-up. Coming through the crowd was ECW original Tommy Dreamer, who seems to have Punk's back tonight.
Before anything could happen, Armando Estrada, ECW General Manager, puts an end to this. He tells all four men that if they want to fight, they can. Let's just make it an official match. An ECW referee comes running from the back and we have ourselves a tag team match when we return from our final commercial break.
Elijah Burke & Mike Knox def. ECW Champion CM Punk & Tommy Dreamer via Knox-Out to Dreamer We came back into the match midway through and it seems that Knox had a big advantage on Dreamer. After getting beat down for a few more minutes, Tommy mustered up the offense to get away from Knox and make the hot tag to Punk. Punk was clearing the ring of everyone in sight and eventually nailed Burke with a GTS. Knox silenced him quickly afterward and basically through him to the outside. Dreamer got the tag later in the match and right after it was made, Burke pulled Punk to the outside. They brawled as Knox took care of Dreamer and got his team the win.
The fight didn't stop after the bell rang as Knox went right after Punk. Punk fought off both Knox and Burke and eventually got out of dodge before any more could happen. ECW ends with Knox & Burke standing over Dreamer as Punk retreated up the ramp.

ECW on Sci-Fi: Tuesday 18th September 2007...Alright, pretty weak opening contest to kick off the show, I would have started with something involving Elijah Burke or CM Punk, or Big Daddy V or The Miz to carry on their series from Unforgiven, but good way to basically get Kevin Thorn more popular with a win against Stevie Richards. Wonder if you go for the Richards push he was given in this area of time. Elijah Burke and Mike Knox's union should have opened the show, really. An interview isn't too much. If they'd have explained their alliance in the ring, however. The Boogeyman beating Nunzio is fine. Big Daddy V and Boogeyman feuding could be interesting. Hope it's just a platform on V's way to getting to the top of the ECW roster. Decent promo by CM Punk targeted at Mike Knox and Elijah Burke, wonder what you're going to do going into No Mercy regarding ECW; No Mercy being two weeks away. Lastly, good win for Burke and Knox against Punk and Tommy Dreamer, unorthodox for Dreamer to take the fall, though. A decent brawl to end the show. A decent show, ordering was a bit odd, though. Hopefully next week the card for No Mercy is revealed.

09/24/07 -- World Wrestling Entertainment News
- It appears that Chet the Jett (Neil Bzibziak) will be getting the next call up to the ECW roster. The talent scouts and bookers are very high on Chet and his character will consist of him powering over everyone. It is believed he will come in as a heel also. He recently had a few matches on the current house show cycle and impressed backstage.
- CM Punk's ECW title reign will be lasting longer than you think. The feeling backstage is that there is absolutely nobody worthy to take the belt off of him. His feud with Elijah Burke will most likely be in the spotlight until the Royal Rumble.
- Creative has talked about 'beefing' up the ECW roster with some FCW/OVW workers, but not many workers are ready for the call. If anything, you may start seeing some workers from other brands jumping over to the ECW brand for more opportunity.
- The Boogeyman has been wrestling with a banged up shoulder as of late, but nothing to keep him out long term.

09/25/07 | Conseco Fieldhouse | Indianapolis, IN | ECW on SciFi
This week on SciFi, we are treated to the usual ECW opening video highlighting the current ECW stars. Then, we go live into the Conseco Fieldhouse, where Joey Styles & Tazz welcome us to what should be an explosive edition of ECW on SciFi with No Mercy 5 days away. Styles announces our main event for the evening, as Tommy Dreamer will face off with Elijah Burke to determine who will face CM Punk for the ECW World Championship at No Mercy. Also, the Boogeyman will be in action tonight and you have to expect him to want a piece of Big Daddy V!
But, for now, we are greeted by ECW's resident loudmouth, The Miz, who is accompained by Extreme Expose. Miz talks about how he missed action last week because he had some prior affairs with Extreme Expose that he COULDN'T miss. But tonight, he notices that Armando Estrada forgot to put him on the card, so he is inserting himself into the action. He is calling out any loser in the back who wants to tangle with the best in the business today. Stevie Richards, an ECW original, answered the call and told the Miz that the crowd knows that Extreme Expose is just a cover up for his love of men. Miz takes offense and knocks Richards with the microphone and the match is on.
Stevie Richards def. The Miz (w/Extreme Expose) via Stevie-DT A surprising win for the ECW original, who really took it to the Miz. After the inital microphone shot, Miz started to take control, but after every move he'd hit, he would boast to Extreme Expose at ringside, which allowed Richards to get up quicker each time. Eventually, Stevie saw an opening and took it. A few suplexes and right hands later, The Miz was set up for the Stevie-DT and sent to the mat for the three count.
Stevie celebrated a major victory over the Miz tonight with the fans. Extreme Expose tended to Miz, who was pissed off to say the least. Miz grabbed a microphone and told Richards that they weren't finished. He demands a rematch next week and Stevie shouts that he has to earn a match against an ECW original and laughs off as the Miz is steaming in the center of the ring.
We return from break where Josh Matthews, ECW correspondent, is standing by with the ECW World Champion, CM Punk. The crowd pops heavy for Punk, who isn't dressed to fight. Matthews asks for Punk's comments about tonight's main event featuring a number one contender's match with Tommy Dreamer & Elijah Burke. Punk comments abotu how talented both workers are and how either would be a worthy opponent for his championship. But, both men will also be burried by the Straight-Edge champion with ease. Punk informs Burke that if Mike Knox wasn't around, he thinks Burke would be in the same spot as The Miz tonight. Punk then laughs and walks off.
A pre-taped interview with the Boogeyman is shown. He mentions that he is facing off with Balls Mahoney next and if Big Daddy V wants a view of his future, he may want to watch closely.
The Boogeyman def. Balls Mahoney via Boogeyslam Initally, Mahoney was more than Boogeyman bargained for and it took more than he thought to put the ECW original down. Boogey was also looking over his shoulder the entire match, waiting for Big Daddy V and Matt Striker to make an appearance. Alas, they never showed and after a few minutes, Boogey delivered the Boogeyslam to put the chair-swinging freak down.
Boogeyman was celebrating his impressive victory over Balls Mahoney and he was about to dump some worms on his body when Matt Striker's voice stopped him. Big Daddy V & Striker appeared on the titan tron somewhere backstage. Striker claps and tells Boogeyman that it was impressive to beat Balls Mahoney, who hasn't had a win since the Pacers had a decent season. He wants the Boogeyman to meet Big Daddy V in the ring next week if he is really a monster. Boogeyman smiles big and worms drop out of his mouth as we cut to break.
A video recapping what happened last week in our main event was shown. Joey Styles then reminds our fans that the main event is coming up right after our next commercial break.
Before the main event, a video promoting Chet 'The Jet' Mankowski was shown. He was standing by a US jet in an army building. He talked about how he and this jet were related. He adds that he is about to take ECW by storm and that everyone needs to be prepared for take-off.
ECW Championship #1 Contender's Match Tommy Dreamer & Elijah Burke fought to a no contest via interference This match was given a good amount of time for our main event and the crowd was fully behind Dreamer. Burke came out alone and wrestled most of the match without anybody by his side. Knox did make an appearance towards the end of the match and was distracting Dreamer throughout. This brought ECW Champion CM Punk down to the ring to make sure this match went properly. Eventually, Knox attacked Dreamer fully in front of the referee and Punk got involved. All four men were tangled and the referee just threw out the match.
The four continued their brawl just like last week when they wouldn't stop even after the match was over. This went on for a few moments until our ECW general manager, Armando Estrada made his presence on the stage. He said he was sick and tired of the disorder here in ECW, especially with these four. He demands them to listen to him because he has a major announcement. Since there was no victor in our main event and since CM Punk wants to decide the outcome of the match. And since Mike Knox likes to get involved with everything Elijah Burke, he has a blockbuster ECW main event for No Mercy. CM Punk will be defending the ECW Championship in a fatal four way match with his challengers being Tommy Dreamer, Elijah Burke...and MIKE KNOX! The crowd doesn't know how to feel about this announcement and Punk looks worried as Burke & Knox smile to each other as ECW comes to a close!

ECW on Sci-Fi: Tuesday 25th September 2007...Interesting way to start off the show with The Miz and Extreme Exposé as focal point, but I did love how Stevie Richards stole a victory against him, very nice upset, Stevie interrupting his promo was also a good idea to get him reinvolved with a situation one last time. I enjoy him, hope this goes relatively far. The Boogeyman playing a heel persona now? I would be interested, beating Balls Mahoney but Big Daddy V coming out: hope it's a stepping stone for V to move up onto new things rather than advance Boogeyman. I'd love a heel Boogeyman. Chet Mankowski sounds like a fun gimmick, wondering if he's a heel or a face though. A name like 'Chet the Jet' sounds like an average cruiserweight, much like Evan Bourne or Kofi Kingston later on. Lastly, strong main event with Tommy Dreamer and Elijah Burke going back and forth, but I did like CM Punk and Mike Knox both getting involved. Hmm, a four-way match at No Mercy while it sounds fun, sort of figuring we'll get the same setup with a multichoice option to face the ECW World Champion at Cyber Sunday in four weeks.

10/02/07 | Nutter Center | Dayton, OH | ECW on SciFi
We are automatically greeted with the usual ECW on SciFi highlight package, which showcases the great superstars ECW has to offer. After this, we go live into the Nutter Center in Ohio where Joey Styles & Tazz, our ECW commentators, give us a rundown on what's in store tonight. Styles mentions the big fatal four way match that was made for No Mercy, where CM Punk will be defending his championship against three hungry competitors. But, for now, we are greeted by Elijah Burke & Mike Knox.
Burke waits for the crowd to stop booing him and Knox before he speaks. He notes that this Sunday, there WILL be a new ECW Champion and the new champion is standing in the ring right now. Burke then proclaims himself the next ECW Champion, which doesn't sit right with Knox. Burke takes his mouth away from the microphone and tells Knox that that they've been over this already. Knox seems displeased, but goes along with what Burke has to say. Elijah runs down Tommy Dreamer & CM Punk, stating that neither man is better than Elijah and it will be a breeze to defeat them come Sunday. Before he could say anything about Knox, Tommy Dreamer comes strolling down to interrupt him. Dreamer tells Burke that he seems to have a situation on his hands with Knox and he may want to check into that before No Mercy. As for tonight, Dreamer lays down a challenge to face off with Burke. Before any response could be given, Armando Estrada breaks up the party. He tells Dreamer that he just cannot go around making matches himself, since he is not ECW General Manager. Estrada reminds Dreamer that this isn't the old ECW and things have changed. But, Estrada will be granting Dreamer his wish, as he will face off with Elijah Burke...next! And in tonight's main event, Mike Knox will get his hands on ECW Champion...CM PUNK! Burke does not like this announcement while Knox, Dreamer and the crowd all see satisfied.
Elijah Burke (w/Mike Knox) def. Tommy Dreamer via Elijah Express Surprisingly, Burke fought this match by himself and even went out of his way to tell Knox to not get involved. Knox just ended up observing from the outside while Dreamer & Burke put on some decent action. The crowd was full Dreamer but it seemed Elijah was the one who had something to prove. After a small flurry from Tommy, Burke put him down without much challenge and got the impressive win.
Burke celebrated over Dreamer's body as Knox started up the ramp without his partner. Burke seemed puzzled but caught up to the big man before we went to a video package.
A new video promoting ECW's newest superstar, Chet 'The Jet' Mankowski, was shown. Similar situation as last week, where Chet is standing around planes. He ends the package by saying that ECW needs to take cover and prepare for lift-off.
Highlights of Stevie Richards' victory over the Miz last week were shown as we came back from break. The Miz is then shown in the ring, microphone in hand, without Extreme Expose. He tells the crowd that those 'cheap-whores' were just dragging him down and they were the reason he lost his match last week. So, he sent them away...permanently! The Miz tells Stevie Richards that what he is about to do to his old foe, Balls Mahoney, will prove that Miz deserves a rematch with Richards.
Balls Mahoney def. The Miz via Nutcracker Suite following distractions from Richards Another surprising and dreadful loss for the Miz, as this week he falls to Balls Mahoney, with a little help. Midway during the match, Miz seemed to have full control until Stevie came down to the ring with Kelly Kelly, Brooke Adams, & Layla El on his arms. He watched from the end of the ramp as Miz started to lose control of his advantage. Eventually, Balls put him down and the crowd cheered loud.
Mahoney high-fived Richards as the Miz threw a fit inside the ring. He cannot believe what has just happened as Richards goes to walk off with Extreme Expose & Mahoney. Miz yells that this isn't fair and this isn't over! Richards laughs as we cut to commercial.
Josh Matthews, ECW correspondent, is once again backstage with the ECW Champion, CM Punk. Punk arrived to the arena late tonight and had to be informed that he will be fighting Mike Knox in a few short moments, so Matthews just wants his feelings on the match. Punk laughs and tells Matthews to not sweat it because as everyone can see, there is a riff within Knox & Burke, which will make things even tonight. Punk tells Dreamer to also be watching closely because they may be friends now, but come No Mercy, its put on hold.
Matt Striker is inside the ring alone when we return from break with some sad news for the Boogeyman. It appears that Big Daddy V has missed the flight to Ohio tonight and will not be able to face off with Boogeyman. Striker stresses that V wanted to destroy Boogey tonight, but alas, he cannot make it. This, of course, brings out the Boogeyman who looks creepier than ever. He stares at Striker as worms pour out of his mouth. He takes his microphone and tells Striker that he is the next best things and will have to do. Before Boogey can lay a finger on Striker, Big Daddy V comes from behind and attacks Boogeyman. It was a setup again from Striker & V! The two start assaulting Boogeyman and leave him down on the mat after a HUGE sidewalk slam. What a cheap attack from these two.
Our ECW main event is next! Stay Tuned!
ECW Champion CM Punk def. Mike Knox via GTS (non-title) CM Punk seemed to be right about the odds being even tonight, as Mike Knox came down alone without Burke. It was reported that Elijah had left the arena early due to 'personal problems'. This allowed Punk to get his fair shake at the big man, who took it to Punk at certain times in the match. Punk eventually got the fans on his side and brought Knox down with the knee-lift/bulldog combo. It was all over after the GTS was hit as the ECW Champion makes a strong statement to all three men in the Championship match this Sunday.
CM Punk celebrated, ECW Championship in hand, as Mike Knox was laid out on the mat. The crowd cheered as Punk climbed the turnbuckles to pose as ECW comes to an end. BE SURE TO TUNE INTO NO MERCY...THIS SUNDAY ON PAY-PER-VIEW!

- Nice little opening promo between Dreamer/Burke/Knox/Estrada. Like the matches that were made for tonight. - Not surprised that Dreamer vs Burke wasn't that great of a match; then again, Dreamer never really puts on a great match. Burke winning is obviously the right call, he is the much more fresh star needing momentum. - Chet The Jet Mankowski. I'll have to try and look him up to see who the hell he is... - Balls and Stevie getting the ladies, now? Never was fond of this storyline, though, to be honest. Hope you pull the plug on it sometime soon. - ECW was indeed "full of freaks" and Boogeyman was just always odd. I hope Big Daddy V destroys him completely. - Good main event. Glad that Punk got the win; although Knox pulling out a victory would of been huge and actually pretty decent.
A good show overall; I'm actually skeptical about Punk retaining at No Mercy.

- Burke beating Dreamer is pretty cool. Can really see him becoming a big deal soon. - STEVIE RICHARDS WILL OWN THE WORLD... ahem. - Boogeyman is just plain awesome. Give him the strap now. - I would have loved to have seen Knox get a win over Punk somehow. While what you did is realistic, it still would have been pretty friggin aye.

I am enjoying the (semi) push of Stevie Richards as he defiantly does deserve it. Big Daddy V destroying Boogeyman is all kinds of awesome, to be honest. I'm glad you went with Punk over Knox but also glad you kept it realistic by writing Burke out of the rest of the show with him having “personal problems” as that took away a predictable end with Burke helping Knox win.
Good show.

-Nice to make the double main event tonight. Looking forward to Punk/Knox. -Burke over Dreamer was nice for some momentum. He's the only one I see actually beating Punk for the title now. -Mahoney over Miz is fine, hope that Miz starts to get a push though. -V and Boogeyman had an intense feud that kind of brought Boogey down. Hope he isn't brought down much in this feud. -Punk over Knox was the right call to end the show with some momentum going his way. -Good show; looking forward to No Mercy.

Duaner, this is glorious. The way you are slowly but surely developing new talent is exactly how ECW should have worked in real life. Kudos.
I like that Elijah has a full head of steam leading to (hopefully) an ECW Title push. I am also a fan of the Punk/Knox feud, as I don't think Knox is a bad worker.
