I Think that Collecting Figures and Displaying them is a thing for Old audiences.
Where as, I think that Kids are more common to Play with wrestling figures.
Do what you think you should do, Thats all I can Say.

As long as you're not paying more attention to your toys than your family, it shouldn't matter at all.

I have read study after study on how people who collect (no matter what the collectin is) live longer.

Ok, here's my quandry. I turn 37 next week, and I have two sons(one is 4 1/2 and the other is 2 1/2) who are really into WWE figures (they spent nearly two hours doing Buried Alive matches in the wood chips today). Am I too old to be buying WWE Legends figures for my own collection (I do let my sons play with them)? I have broken down and bought Sheik, Kamala, and Steamboat. I'd really like to get the figures from the mid-to-late 1980s (the best era ever) like Slaughter, Rude, Snuka, Jake the Snake, Hacksaw, Perfect, etc. Guys like Austin and Rock are easy to pass on. I'm having trouble convincing my wife this is a legit hobby. What should I do? It's only a problem if you are spending non-disposable funds on them. Otherwise, your collection is something you can share with your sons and pass down to them eventually. However, I know the dilemma of which you speak. You and I are the same age. Over the last couple of years, I've tried to purge my life of some time/money consuming hobbies. My wrestling figures are something I have kept because they are one of the few vestiges of my childhood.

"Dead" is too old.
They wouldn't market a line of wrestling figures to adults if adults didn't buy wrestling figures, you know?

As long as you're not paying more attention to your toys than your family, it shouldn't matter at all. Couldn't have said it any better. I'm 31 with a 14 and 4 year old boys, and as long as I help with bills, school costs, food costs and etc. I get no comments over my collection. And don't let anyone bring you down for what you like no matter how old you are.

Tell her to get back to the kitchen - or failing that, RKO her Seriously though, you should just do what you want, it's your money. The question I have, is why do two kids under the age of 5 know what a buried alive match is? IYAM, a 2 1/2 year old, shouldn't even be watching wrestling, let alone acting out buried alive matches.

There's no reason to be upset at something that makes you happy like collecting, so long as you're not struggling financially. Plus, it can be a hobby you can share with your kids; to help bonding.

if you make good money and buying them is not going to stop you from paying the bills and feeding your kids and wife then go for it dude. it's also something your kids would enjoy playing with so why should it matter to your wife if you and your kids have something in common to bond over? go for it bro!

i'm 27...and i can safely say ill be collecting WWE action figures until either A) the WWE does not exist anymore, B) there is no company making WWE figures or C) i no longer exist.
nothing wrong with it as long as you're not sacrificing feeding & sheltering your family by spending money on toys.

RK... wait it's been used twice. Lock in the Walls of Jericho on her. Seriously, she is your wife. She should love you for you and should not have to tell you if it's okay to have a wrestling figure collection. Plus, it could end up as something your kids will be interested in when they grow older.

My son was 6 months (now only 15 months) when I bought him a RSR and 25+ figures...it's for him honestly but I want him to get a bit older and join me in a Rumble like I used to with my Hasbros...
There's a lot worse things your money could be spent on - go for it!

If you have enough disposable income to support the hobby, then go for it. Make sure your wife also has a little income for her hobbies, too.
