WWE Monday Night RAW: The WrestleMania Rewind - Monday 10th March 2008 - Milwaukee, WI [/color]
NOW IN HD!Dark Match: Goldust def. KC James @ 3:11 after the Curtain Call.A montage aired to start off tonight's three hour special edition of Monday Night RAW, running through previous WrestleManias, and the amount of historic memories. We flashed forward to modern day, twenty days away from WrestleMania XXIV, and here tonight in Milwaukee, we celebrate and relive some past memories, as tonight, RAW hits the button for WrestleMania Rewind!
The opening video package aired for Monday Night RAW, and we then cut to the live Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for WrestleMania Rewind! Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler introduced us to the show, promoting a huge main event for the RAW brand, as Triple H will meet Chris Jericho in a WrestleMania X8 rematch! But also, John Cena will face the Big Show. We then took it over to Joey Styles and Tazz representing ECW, hyping up John Bradshaw Layfield scheduled for a meeting with Mick Foley, plus the final Money in the Bank spot for WrestleMania XXIV to be determined in a cross-brand battle royal! Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman from SmackDown stood by, hyping up the Undertaker facing Batista in a WrestleMania 23 rematch! Three hours long tonight.
The crowd booed as suddenly the theme of the World Heavyweight Champion, Edge hit to a loud chorus of boos, and out came the "Rated R Superstar" accompanied by his fiancé and SmackDown Co-General Manager, Vickie Guerrero. They were led out by Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, as Edge and Vickie stood in the ring hand in hand, a microphone in Edge's hand. The "Rated R Superstar" stated how he remembered what it was like to be on Monday Night RAW all of those weeks. Fun times indeed. But Edge was out here on RAW tonight for a different reason. He wanted to address the Undertaker, and that tonight his fiancé Vickie set up the grand rematch, another installment in the rivalry between the "Phenom" and the "Animal", but to more importantly watch them as they subsequently tear each other apart! The crowd booed as Edge wanted to take us down memory lane, as WrestleMania Rewind is meant to do, and take us back to last May, where Edge interrupted their grand battle on SmackDown inside of a Steel-Cage, cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase and claiming his World Heavyweight Championship! The Undertaker may shine on one night a year, but the fact is that some time, the flame has to go out! The crowd booed, Edge talking about how the "Rated R Superstar" has accomplished a lot himself on the showcase of the immortals, he's won TLC twice, he's won the Money in the Bank briefcase, he defeated the "Hardcore Legend" in the most brutal match in WrestleMania history. And at WrestleMania, he's planning on adding another accomplishment to his WrestleMania resumé!
The crowd booed, but that's when the theme of the "Charismatic Enigma" hit! Jeff Hardy came out to a positive reaction, as Hardy made his way down to the ring, the Milwaukee crowd loving Hardy's interruption of Edge. Hardy got chants going as he asked Edge if he remembered him, the man that took him to the limit in those two Tables, Ladders and Chairs match classics, and more importantly the man that took Edge out of the Money in the Bank ladder match last year at WrestleMania! Hardy told Edge that him and Jeff may have had crossed paths, but if Edge really wants to run his mouth off about how great he is at WrestleMania, how about the "Charismatic Enigma" puts him to the test tonight! The fans cheered, as Edge responded thunderously, telling Jeff that it would be fine to kick his ass one more time, but on his terms, right now! Edge looked twisted as Hardy didn't back down, darting into the ring as the two traded blows!
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |1) Edge (w/Vickie Guerrero) def. Jeff Hardy in a non-title match @ 7:43We returned to the WrestleMania Rewind edition of Monday Night RAW as these two men were still going at it in a back and forth collision, Jeff Hardy using his agility to keep on top of the "Rated R Superstar", just for Edge to keep responded with some hard-hitting shots, even with some old-school agility, something not seen from the World Heavyweight Champion in recent years. Edge took control of Jeff after he charged for Edge in the corner and connected with the ring post, Edge proceeding with the Edge-o-matic for two, working on the shoulder from that point on. Edge tried to bend and stretch the "Charismatic Enigma", but the fans chanted Hardy on, Jeff soon managing to fire back, a jawbreaker out of nowhere retaliating Jeff into this match. But that's when Zack Ryder, Chavo Guerrero and Curt Hawkins came down to the ringside area, just for Jeff to dive over the top rope with a huge senton on Chavo and the Edgeheads! Hardy proceeded to go back to competing against Edge, setting up for the Twist of Fate, but Edge blocked it. Hardy then took Edge out with an enzuigiri, the "Charismatic Enigma" thinking of going for the Swanton Bomb, but that's when Edge got up groggily, Hardy coming off with a crossbody just for Edge to catch him with the Spear for the win!
The crowd booed as Edge celebrated his win to boos, Vickie Guerrero climbing into the ring to congratulate her fiancé, Edge. Curt Hawkins, Chavo Guerrero and Zack Ryder then climbing into the ring, La Familia united with the "Rated R Superstar" Edge, the World Heavyweight Championship raised high. But that's when a gong was heard, the Milwaukee crowd exploding! La Familia decided that it'd be best to get out as quick as possible.
We cut to the backstage area as William Regal was shown in his office, the RAW General Manager not looking happy, complaining about Mick Foley's job on RAW this past Monday. That's when John Cena came in to a mixed reaction, Cena asking Regal why he wanted to speak to him. Regal commented on how he recalled what Cena did to RAW, putting everyone in danger, particularly Randy Orton. He told Cena that he wasn't happy with the four-corner elimination match signed for WrestleMania XXIV, but apparently it's above his head now, out of his power. Regal promised to make Cena's life a living hell if he came anywhere near to winning the WWE Championship on March 30th. Cena told Regal in response that he was fine with that, because he'd still love to put a hurting on Randy Orton! Regal told Cena to get out and get ready for his match.
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |An advertisement aired, promoting WWE WrestleMania XXIV, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, March 30th 2008 from Orlando, Florida; 20 days away!
2) Maria, Candice Michelle and Ashley def. Beth Phoenix, Melina and Victoria @ 3:26This was some six Divas action here to follow up on WrestleMania Rewind night, kicking things off were Melina and Ashley, who fought for the WWE Womens Championship last year at WrestleMania 23, but it was an entirely different ballgame tonight, as Beth Phoenix and Melina dominated Ashley, keeping her away from her corner of Playboy covergirls. Victoria was equally mean in this outing, several rib stomps for the RAW Divas Search 2005 winner, but soon enough Maria got the hot tag and she came in with several flying forearms and even a hurricanrana to Melina! All six Divas ended up getting involved, as the "Glamazon" tossed Candice Michelle out of the ring, just for Maria to dropkick the WWE Womens Champion out! Victoria then set Maria up for the Widow's Peak, but Maria tripped her and bridged for the upset victory!
The fans cheered as Maria rolled out of the ring, Victoria from SmackDown throwing a temper tantrum in the ring! Victoria could not believe that she had lost another match to another rookie Diva! Maria showed that she potentially could have it all as hers on the grandest stage of them all, when she goes face to face with Beth Phoenix for the WWE Womens Championship!
We cut to the backstage area where Josh Mathews was standing by with the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair to a great reaction, as Flair strutted up and down, seemingly his good old self. Mathews wanted to get some words with the stylin' and profilin' living legend, as Flair talked about how many times the man has tried to stick it to Naitch. But he never thought in his life that it would be Shawn Michaels in his way. And so tonight Flair has decided to show some respect to the younger "Heartbreak Kid" for a change, the man that looked up to him for so long. He called HBK a stubborn son of a bitch, but he'll leave that for WrestleMania, because Flair has said before and he will say it again, that he will not fall down to retirement!
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |We returned to Monday Night RAW to the theme of Mr Kennedy playing to loud boos, the ever-arrogant WWE Intercontinental Champion in the centre of the ring with his microphone hanging down from the rafters, Kennedy talking about how the time is ticking away, and Kennedy still hasn't been assigned a match for WrestleMania. He talked about how last year was a great night for Mr Kennedy, he won Money in the Bank in his WrestleMania debut. But it wasn't on his terms, he lost that briefcase, and this year he wasn't even entered into a qualifying match for the damn ladder match! It's outrageous. Which is why Kennedy wanted to hand out an open challenge to anyone tonight, and WrestleMania XXIV, to take down the almighty WWE Intercontinental Champion...of the World!
3) Kane def. Mr Kennedy by count-out in a non-title match @ 6:23This was quite the shock to Mr Kennedy, as he was expecting a much simpler challenge, but instead it was the "Big Red Monster" from SmackDown, Kane, as he wasted no time in going straight after Mr Kennedy, the WWE Intercontinental Champion trying to jump the big man as he entered the ring, Kane with a few thunderous uppercuts putting the champ right in his place. Kennedy was given several body shots, followed up with a big clothesline in the corner, but as Kane picked Kennedy up for the fireman's carry sideslam, Kennedy fired back, a DDT dropping Kane on his head! Kennedy then tried to follow up, many shots raining down on the back of the "Big Red Machine"s skull! Kennedy soon decided to attempt the Mic Check, but Kane easily broke up the attempt, grabbing Kennedy by the throat! Kane took Kennedy for a ride, the Chokeslam connecting, but Kennedy simply rolled out of the ring! Kennedy took his title and started leaving, getting himself counted out!
The crowd booed as Mr Kennedy pointed at his head, calling himself intelligent, then raising his WWE Intercontinental Championship high above his head! Kane was left looking outraged, but not for long as suddenly the lights turned golden, and the theme of Goldust played! Goldust's voice was heard throughout the arena saying "You underestimate me? Well I'm...getting over you!" Kennedy looked a little freaked out by the innuendo, as Goldust then appeared behind him, rubbing his chest before standing face to face with Kennedy! Goldust shoved Kennedy on his ass, as Kennedy went sailing down to ringside, where Kane was standing, the "Big Red Monster" sending Kennedy over the barricade! Kane and Goldust grinned at each other in a face off of the freaks!
We soon cut to the backstage area as various RAW, ECW and SmackDown superstars were shown making their way through the hallways, Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston, Umaga, Elijah Burke, Bobby Lashley and many others, as the battle royal for the final Money in the Bank match slot was up next!
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |4) Mark Henry def. Kenny Dykstra, Mike Knox, Val Venis, The Miz, Super Crazy, Jim Duggan, Shannon Moore, Deuce, Trevor Murdoch, Paul London, Balls Mahoney, Tommy Dreamer, Domino, The Great Khali, Dave Taylor, Charlie Haas, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Jimmy Wang Yang, Cody Rhodes, Chuck Palumbo, DH Smith, Drew McIntyre, Hardcore Holly, Umaga, Elijah Burke, Hornswoggle, DH Smith, Bobby Lashley, Big Daddy V & Kofi Kingston in an interpromotional battle royal to qualify into the Money in the Bank match @ 12:45This was our first hour's main event, as these thirty-two men exchanged blows in the opening moments of this battle royal, all to become the eighth WWE superstar in this year's Money in the Bank ladder match. A huge free-for-all, as ECW seemingly banded together against the larger participants, but the list continued to grow and grow, highlights from the match seeing Matt Striker guide Big Daddy V and Mark Henry to eliminate superstars such as Jimmy Wang Yang, Deuce, Domino, Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Everyone in the match managed to tip out the big men, such as the Great Khali, and even Umaga, but the "Samoan Bulldozer" ended up responding with a brutal amount of clotheslines and Samoan Spikes to the remain participants. Elijah Burke eliminated rival from ECW, The Miz very early on, but the WWE Tag Team Champion later returned to distract Burke, causing Drew McIntyre to eliminate him. The United Kingdom were another dominant part of this match, as they cleared house until being taken apart one by one by Bobby Lashley. It ended up coming down to Lashley, Kofi Kingston, Big Daddy V and Mark Henry, but Lashley soon ended up being tossed out as well, the "Mastodon" and the "World's Strongest Man" taking their time to stall and showboat, torturing the "Jamaican Sensation, as Kofi soon managed to fight out of an elimination attempt in the corner, Kofi with Trouble in Paradise to Big Daddy V, stunning him, and Kofi followed with a crossbody, but Mark Henry pushed Kofi and both men hit the floor!
The crowd booed as Mark Henry celebrated his win to boos, the "World's Strongest Man" raising his hands high as Kofi Kingston was on all fours at ringside in disbelief, Big Daddy V beneath him, and Mark Henry will be a huge, dominating machine in the Money in the Bank ladder match come WrestleMania!

We returned to RAW to see Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler, as they discussed what has happened so far tonight on the three-hour long WrestleMania Rewind edition of Monday Night RAW. They then went on to name some of the guys inducted into the 2008 Class of Hall of Fame so far, Barry Windham, Rocky Johnson, the Brisco Brothers; but tonight we'd welcome another Legend into the Hall of Fame.
A video package aired, focused around the career of Gordon Solie. Solie was arguably one of, if not the greatest play-by-play announcer in all of sports entertaining, cleanly dominating the territorial system on television programming, particularly in the state of Florida back in the 1970s and 1980s. Solie was known for such quotes as "he'd fight a buzzsaw and give it the first two rounds", and "his face is becoming a Crimson mask", and gave a unique and innovative perspective to his announcing. Solie was inspiring to many broadcast journalists, though more in particular the man that is inducting Solie into the Hall of Fame, good ol' J.R. Jim Ross! The Hall of Fame Class of 2008 welcomes Gordon Solie.
In the backstage area we cut to the backstage area where Chris Jericho was standing by with Todd Grisham, as Grisham wanted to get a few comments from Y2J before his match tonight against Triple H. Y2J continued his verbal rampage on how he actually earned his shot at the WWE Championship on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania XXIV, this match should be entirely about him and Randy Orton. But regardless, Triple H continues to menace in his plans, he continues to be the show-off attention-seeking gloryhog he has always been! And he's the "Cerebral Assassin" because he likes to kill off the guys that he doesn't like. Y2J mentioned how he was a survivor of that, and after tonight, Y2J will be absolutely focused on one thing, and that is winning the WWE Championship on the grandest stage of them all!
In the backstage area we saw John Cena and the Big Show making their separate ways to the ring, and up next we would be seeing a rematch from WrestleMania XX, Cena meets the "World's Largest Athlete", next!
An advertisement aired, promoting ECW on Sci-Fi tomorrow night as we are expected to see the "Straight Edge Superstar" CM Punk in action against Drew McIntyre of the United Kingdom; Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke have called out John Morrison and the Miz for a non-title, non-Fifteen Minutes of Fame match and the WWE Tag Team Champions shall answer their call tomorrow night; And John Bradshaw Layfield will meet Colin Delaney in a non-title match, and if Delaney wins, he will gain a WWE contract. If he loses, Tommy Dreamer is fired! All tomorrow night on the Sci-Fi Network from 10/11 CT!
5) John Cena def. The Big Show by disqualification @ 7:56These two previously met at WrestleMania XX back in 2004, where John Cena and the Big Show fought for the WWE United States Championship, eventually leading to Cena scoring the win, and thus giving Cena his first championship accomplishment in the WWE. But these were two completely different men, four years later as Cena has been WWE Champion and one of the top guys in the company, whilst the Big Show gone away, come back leaner and meaner, and a lot more aggressive. Show powered Cena around despite whatever Cena tried, John with thunderous lefts and rights, but Show continued to show Cena the chokehold and his massive chops to the heart.
| COMMERCIAL BREAK
| Show nailed Cena with a sidewalk slam and tried to work along from that, but Cena soon mounted a comeback, three shoulderblocks taking the "World's Largest Athlete" off of his feet, then laying Show out with an outstandingly strong FU! Cena went to cover Show, but suddenly the WWE Champion rushed down to the ring, the RKO to John Cena!
The crowd booed as Randy Orton looked menacing, kicking Cena in the ribs and then waiting for him to rise to his all fours, the "Viper" looking Cena up and down before Punting him in the skull! The crowd booed as Orton rolled out of the ring as he came eye-to-eye with the Big Show, the "One Man Dynasty" perhaps putting Cena out of the four-way elimination match at WrestleMania XXIV! Cena was aided to by three referees in the ring, Orton's mission accomplished perhaps!
We cut to the backstage area where Shawn Michaels was jumping up and down on the spot, as Todd Grisham approached the "Heartbreak Kid", Grisham asking Shawn for some comments just prior to his match with John Morrison. Shawn told Todd that he wasn't focused on the "Shaman of Sexy", he's more interested in impressing the world, and scaring Ric Flair. Like he said last week, Flair's time has come and it's time to put the old stallion down to rest! But tonight, he doesn't care about what Morrison does, because he's going to be put out with some Sweet Chin Music!
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |We returned to RAW as John Cena was being helped through the Gorilla position, clung over the shoulders of two referees, as Cena didn't seem very well at all following the Punt given to him by Randy Orton. But that's when the Big Show met up with Cena, the "World's Largest Athlete" telling Cena that the "Impact Player" didn't deserve to lose. That's when Show cracked Cena right in the face, Cena left out cold on the concrete! Show walked away chuckling.
6) Shawn Michaels def. John Morrison (w/The Miz) @ 6:23This was quite the explosive match, as people have compared the two; that John Morrison, one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions could potentially be the Shawn Michaels of this generation in the WWE. The "Heartbreak Kid" continued to prove that he was still here to stay though, HBK sticking in there with Morrison, several chops delivered as well as reversing a hurricanrana into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, but the involvement of The Miz soon caused Michaels to slip, as the "Tuesday Night Delight" nailed Shawn with a tornado DDT! The "Chick Magnet" continued to get involved, Morrison sending Michaels out to the ringside area whilst Miz stomped away at HBK behind the official's back, but as Morrison had a dragon sleeper applied, Michaels mounted a comeback, HBK with a big back body drop to Morrison! Shawn soon went up for the Diving Elbow Drop, dodging interference from Miz on the apron, a superkick for him, and Sweet Chin Music to Morrison gave HBK another win!
The "Heartbreak Kid" celebrated his win to a mixed reaction, Shawn Michaels then got attacked by The Miz from behind! Miz stomped away at HBK and nailed him with a Reality Check, John Morrison also getting involved! Morrison had a lead pipe tucked into his boot, as the WWE Tag Team Champions planned to lay into HBK, but Ric Flair rushed down to ringside! Flair got into the ring and delivered a chop to Miz, then with a low blow to Morrison! Flair picked up the lead pipe and cracked Michaels in the head with it, some retribution for two weeks ago! The fans loved Flair, and their previous affection for Michaels had disappeared for Flair!
We returned to the backstage area where Triple H was shown standing alongside Mike Adamle, the "Game" asked about his match tonight with Chris Jericho, and how much him and Chris Jericho have changed in the past six years. Triple H talked about how six years ago was great, because idiots like Adamle didn't deserve to be here! Triple H continued, talking about how he hasn't liked Chris Jericho or his attitude, not back in 2002, not now. When Y2J was climbing the ladder after he debuted in 1999, he has not liked him and feels like he doesn't deserve this spot! Y2J is an obnoxious, selfish and self-centered human being, and the "Cerebrall Assassin" will not let him win the WWE Championship on March 30th and take away his dreams of once again becoming the WWE Champion! Hunter then walked away.
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |7) Santino Marella def. Jerry Lawler @ 3:45This match was all fuelling up several weeks ago on RAW when Santino Marella in an attempt to save his relationship with Maria, and stop Maria from posing on the cover for Playboy, he was turned down by Maria, and then had the Playboy canvas cover slammed over his head at the hands of Jerry Lawler. The "King" looked to be in great shape, and has shown disgust in Santino in previous weeks based on the commentary. Lawler managed to pound into Santino at various points, several punches raining down on Marella whilst in the corner, as well as an attempt at the Piledriver, but Santino dodged the Andy Kaufman-injuring Piledriver of doom. Marella hid at ringside, and Lawler made the mistake of going after him, then walking right into an inside cradle from Jerry leading to Santino getting the win!
Santino Marella celebrated his win with an air-trumpet to boos, completely exaggerating his defeat of the Hall of Famer, Jerry Lawler. "The King" looked in disgust as Marella rolled out of the ring, trumpeting up the aisle and the rampway, before meeting the WWE Womens Champion, Beth Phoenix and making out with her, Phoenix taking the male position of the two! What was this?
We cut to the dressing room of La Familia, as Chavo Guerrero, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins were shown hanging out watching RAW from the comfort of their room, whilst Edge was talking to Vickie Guerrero about how tonight has been fun, but it's better recommended if the SmackDown General Manager didn't appear during the main event. Because the "Rated R Superstar" was definitely going to be involved with the Undertaker and Batista. Vickie told Edge to be safe, as the World Heavyweight Champion took a baseball bat, perhaps in case of invasion from the "Phenom".
Meanwhile, John Bradshaw Layfield was making his way down a corridor, and up next we are scheduled to hear from the ECW World Champion, JBL!
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |We go to a graphic advertising the Tonight Show this week, live on NBC at 11:35 as Jay Leno will be interviewing Floyd "Money" Mayweather in the Welterweight Champion's first-heard comments on the attack from the Big Show last Monday Night RAW. We were advised to tune in.
The theme of John Bradshaw Layfield hit to loud boos, as the ECW World Champion appeared on the rampway in a limousine, the "Wrestling God" stepping out alongside Armando Estrada, as Layfield raised Estrada's hand, the ECW General Manager and the ECW World Champion then making their ways down to the ring to even louder boos. Jerry Lawler was annoyed about losing to Santino Marella and challenged him to a mixed tag team match next week on RAW, as Layfield and Estrada stepped into the ring and took microphones. Estrada talked about how great and...abysmal it was to be here tonight in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The crowd booed at the cheap shot, as Armando continued, talking about an uprising revolution in ECW history, because a Wrestling God has appeared, and taken ECW by force, for the better! The good of ECW! Estrada talked about how CM Punk stole his way to gaining contention to another ECW Championship opportunity, and so the match has been made for JBL to face CM Punk with the title on the line at WrestleMania XXIV! The crowd cheered at this, but that's when Estrada talked about how he would not let CM Punk leave Orlando with the title, because he has not brought so positive a change to the brand like JBL has done! Layfield then took the microphone to loud boos, JBL asking everybody if they all knew the story about his bar-fighting days. Layfield talked about how he wasn't exactly proud of them, he was a heavy drinker, he can't even remember half of his adventures with the APA, and Ron Simmons. But he will bring those days out of him if he has to. To teach CM Punk a lesson, and at the grandest stage of them all, he will be no happier than to show the "Straight Edge Superstar" the truest beating of a lifetime, because when this Straight Edge sincere, or so he likes to call himself laces his boots and walks out, and gets devoured by the feedback from 60,000 strong in the Citrus Bowl, JBL will be no happier than to crush Punk under his own success, and teach him a lesson that no veteran has ever taught a little rookie wannabe before!
That's when suddenly, the theme of Mick Foley hit to a ruckus ovation, and out came the "Hardcore Legend" himself, the former Cactus Jack making his way down the rampway to a loud ovation from the Milwaukee crowd, as Mick Foley didn't seem too happy to see Armando Estrada and John Bradshaw Layfield in the ring talking trash. Foley started off with a microphone in hand, amongst the "Foley" chants, as Estrada ran his mouth off at Foley, calling him an "old hack", and to simply leave because nobody wanted to see him. That's when Foley laid Estrada out with the microphone over the head of the ECW General Manager! The fans roared as JBL looked confused, ready to throw punches if it came to it. Foley then asked why John was becoming so difficult, because within each and every year that he has watched JBL come out here and run his mouth and supposedly "kick ass", he can't help but notice that something's different. Maybe it's the haircut, maybe it's the suit. Maybe it's his sudden changing of location, from Sweetwater, Texas; home of Hall of Fame inductee Barry Windham; or maybe it's the fact that John Bradshaw Layfield doesn't have any aggression left in him! The fans cheered, as Mick addressed the ECW Champion as 'Bradshaw', reminding him of their drinking endeavors, how they rolled together, and when Bradshaw was WWE Hardcore Champion, or a teeth-breaking, extreme son of a bitch, he wished that John had met the original ECW. The same formula that created stars such as Chris Jericho, Mick himself, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rob Van Dam, Tazz, Rey Mysterio, the Sandman, Sabu; all of those men came out to see several hundred, sometimes thousands of people to bust their ass, bleed and pick up a paycheck, and it was the perfect cult. Because their work paid off when WWE or WCW came knocking! Maybe back then perhaps Bradshaw would know what it's like to be in the ring with a real ECW legend! Foley told Bradshaw that CM Punk has been in this ring and left it all out here, both in bingo halls and now in arenas on ECW! He's replacing JBL, or what JBL was at least. Because now Layfield is a shell of a man! Just a cover-up to keep his ego high. Foley told JBL to look him in the eyes and admit that he was better than him! Layfield told Foley with confidence that he was, provoking Foley and thus a fistfight broke out, Bradshaw with a sucker punch followed up with sending Foley out to the floor, continuing his attack on Foley with several stomps, then taking off his cowboy book and trying to slam it down on the back of Foley's head, but Mick fired back, the "Hardcore Legend" giving it to Layfield up the rampway, but John then came back, pulling out some brass knuckles and returning the favor to Mick, cutting Foley open! Bradshaw gave Foley the Clothesline From Hell before taking a steel chair and slamming it against the skull of Mick Foley, Foley continuously coming back for more, as Bradshaw then took a microphone back, telling Foley that he has still got aggression, just as he just proved, and he will prove from this point on. Bradshaw told Punk that he hoped sincerely that he was watching, because when he kicks his ass at WrestleMania, it'll be an Extreme Rules match! The fans booed in the heat of the moment as Layfield then booted Foley down to the floor before leaving the scene to boos.
We soon cut to the dressing room, as two members of the WWE Championship match for WrestleMania XXIV, Chris Jericho and Triple H were making their ways for the ring, and the two face off, next!
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |An advertisement aired, promoting WWE WrestleMania XXIV aired, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, March 30th 2008 from Orlando, Florida; 20 days away!
8) Triple H def. Chris Jericho @ 7:35These two have not liked each other for an instance throughout their individually storied WWE careers, Triple H despising Chris Jericho since the day Y2J stepped through the door, and their differences was eventually come to a head in the main event of WrestleMania X8, where the two competed for the WWE Undisputed Championship in 2002. Six years later, the "Cerebral Assassin" and the "Ayotollah of Rock-n-Rolla" had gone through so much change that they were both now looking for the same accomplishment, to become the best on RAW, the WWE Champion! Chris Jericho started off with some agile work, trying to make sure that Triple H couldn't catch up, the "Game" firing back with a high knee to the face of Y2J followed by a spinebuster for the Royal Rumble winner. Y2J soon fought back again though, going after that damaged quadriceps muscle, torn once thanks to Chris Jericho in 2001, and furthered last year, costing Hunter WrestleMania 23 due to the injury. But Triple H was here to stay for sure tonight, as he soon went for a Pedigree just to be locked in the Walls of Jericho! The "Game" continued to fight until he was free, Jericho soon going for a springboard dropkick just for Hunter to catch him with a kick to the gut, and the Pedigree put Y2J away for three!
The crowd gave a mixed reaction as Triple H stood over Chris Jericho, the "Cerebal Assassin" taunting Y2J as the 2008 Royal Rumble winner had just been defeated by this so-called "undeserving" contender to the WWE Championship! Randy Orton then appeared on the rampway, the WWE Champion merely watching Hunter as he celebrated, the two exchanging looks!
We returned to Edge wielding a baseball bat in the hallway, when he suddenly embarked upon Batista, the "Animal" getting warmed up for the huge main event scheduled for tonight. Batista asked Edge if he was really coming to this level. Where the "Rated R Superstar" was scared of the "Deadman". Batista told Edge not to get involved tonight. He then told Edge what made him a better World Heavyweight Champion than him, and that's because he wasn't effected by the "Phenom"s mind games. Batista wished Edge luck, as Edge remained silent, seemingly angered by the confident "Animal"!
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |9) Shelton Benjamin and Carlito def. Lance Cade and Montel Vontavious Porter @ 4:45This match featured half of the eight participants scheduled to appear in the eight man ladder match at WrestleMania, known as the Money in the Bank match. Shelton Benjamin was at odd's end however, as he teamed with Carlito, a man not so happy about being paired with him, the "Gold Standard" being the only fan favourite in this match, but whilst Shelton dodged tagging in Carlito and taking down both Cade and the WWE United States Champion several times, Cade caught Benjamin off-guard with a spinout spinebuster; Cade and MVP then working over Benjamin's arm, keeping him away from Carlito, but Benjamin soon used the Dragon Whip to fight back, crawling over to Carlito just for him to jump off of the apron! Carlito took his apple and left to louder boos, as Benjamin then suddenly cradled Lance Cade up to score the three count!
Carlito looked miffed as he spat out his apple onto the floor, Shelton Benjamin celebrated his win in this suppsoed tag team Money in the Bank match preview. Lance Cade looked angry, as Montel Vontavious Porter did also, the WWE United States Champion perhaps taking note of what it takes to be Mr Money in the Bank!
A graphic aired, promoting our main event, a rematch from WrestleMania last year, as the "Animal" Batista and the "Phenom" The Undertakaker, the two SmackDown superstars colliding in our main event, next!
| COMMERCIAL BREAK |10) Batista vs The Undertaker; no contest @ 13:34This was a chaotic match, as these two met twelve months ago for the first time on this very level, Batista walking into WrestleMania 23 as the World Heavyweight Champion, attempting to break the streak of the "Phenom" at 14-1 but the "Deadman" left Ford Field on April 1, 2007 at 15-0 with the championship belt. These two slugged it out in a fine trading of blows, the Undertaker soon taking an odd turn and using agility to knock off Batista on some occasions. But that's when the "Animal" got his own back, using agility to match up with the "Phenom", the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Champion expecting Edge at any moment, as these two men continued to battle it out, Batista with a spinebuster out of nowhere, but 'Taker responded by sitting up and nailing a sidewalk slam on Batista, the brawl then reaching the ringside area, these two men with a lack of respect for one another clearly, and Batista soon got in the Batista Bomb, but once reached two, 'Taker reached his foot onto the bottom rope, the brawl continuing! Batista tried to punish the "Deadman", 'Taker firing back occasionally, a guillotine legdrop over the back of Batista's head on the apron taking back, and the "Deadman" was planning to go up for the Old School, but Batista crotched Undertaker! However it soon didn't matter, as in the head of a Tombstone Piledriver from 'Taker on Batista came Edge, the World Heavyweight Champion rushing to ringside and trying to swing at someone just for the "Animal" to scare him off, 'Taker with the Chokeslam on Batista! 'Taker then went to cover, but then Edge slipped into the ring, a Spear delivered to the "Phenom"! The crowd booed as Edge covered, making the referee count the three, like a villain!
The crowd booed as Edge grinned maniacally, the World Heavyweight Champion standing tall over his supposed fear or challenger for WrestleMania XXIV, but now the "Rated R Superstar" seemed to be ready for his match with the Undertaker in twenty days, RAW went off the air!
