Vince McMahon is raising hell in Connecticut -- the WWE honcho just filed a lawsuit claiming the CT Secretary of State had no right to ban WWE clothing from the polls ... just because his wife Linda is running for U.S. Senate.
Vince also states in the docs that he will fight the power -- and "intends to wear WWE paraphernalia when he enters the polling place to cast his vote on November 2, 2010."

Well he's right. It's absolutely ridiculous.
I hope Vince shows up with an "I DID IT" shirt that was available for a limited time when his limo blew up.

errrmm I can see why... I think..if thats what it is.. but... it;s like trying to rally WWE fans to vote, weather or not theycare,..just to vote using their fans... wich is unfair to the others running.
I think thats why they are banning it?
sorry I just woke up my brain no worrky

What the hell was their excuse for doing this? It couldn't have gone all the way through a judge with no reason other than, "Linda's husband runs the company and we don't like them!" Seriously, it would be like if someone ran a very successful landscaping business and their spouse decided to run... Would they ban the landscaping shirts? Makes no sense... If I had more time, I'd head down to Connecticut and sport ridiculous amounts of WWE gear... Shirts, hats, belts, bags, reading material, hell I'd carry around figures too! And, how does this not step all over our freedom? I saw a guy in a mall(a family oriented place) wearing a shirt that said "JESUS IS A C*NT" in HUGE letters. He can wear that, but I can't wear my harmless Nexus shirt? We should all go there with shirts that just say " YOU" in huge letters and laugh when they let us in wearing those, but some poor kid can't go in with his Cenation shirt...

I'm pretty sure the Secretary of State can just order it, they don't need to go through a judge to set the rule.

It was a dumb move, considering that WWE's key demographic (males 18-35) are the segment of the population that doesn't vote enough. That was the whole point of the SD Your Vote campaign. This little stunt pretty much undoes it.

I see his point though, you didnt see any uproar about Terminater T-Shirts etc when Arnold Schwarzenegger ran for governer nor was there any uproar when Jesse Ventura ran for governer. its the exact same moral. Thats like saying if your a WWE fan then you're not allowed to vote. This has no effect whatsoever on me since I'm not American but if I was I would be really pissed off about it.

Man, I knew WWE was getting a lot of crap right now but I wasn't aware that it had gotten this bad. That ruling is ridiculous.

I want him to walk into the polling place with his theme song blaring, someone with a recording of the theme will follow him into the polling place.
