I'll be filing suit against Vince soon enough for violating my first amendment right when he had someone steal my Mike Tyson sign at Ras last January. The only thing he did here was make himself look like a hypocrite. Except you don't have free speech at wrestling events. Exactly. Removing your sign isn't taking away any of your rights, where stopping you voting for what your wearing is.

In America, people wearing WWE merchandise is allowed to vote. In Japan, no one wore "Muga" T-shirt when Osamu Nishimura ran for election.

Of course, Vince found a way to make Linda's opponent look bad in all this:

Of course, Vince found a way to make Linda's opponent look bad in all this: Well, yeah. WWE as a whole has been receiving heat for the better part of the past year or two because of Linda and her opponent's sometimes unfounded accusations. If anyone can do dirty politics, it's the McMahons.

If anyone can do dirty politics, it's the McMahons. In this case, they're not exactly unfounded, and the politics aren't exactly dirty. The Attorney General, the top law enforcement officer in the state (who also happens to be her opponent) did nothing to overturn this gross miscarriage of justice. This was really more a case of right place/right time.

Wow how can you ban people from wearing clothing??? Doesn't WWE ban people from wearing TNA gear? Seriously though, I'm wearing a TNA shirt to the polls and voting for write in candidate "Shark Boy".

I wish some of you would actually read *why* they were banned.
"Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz issued a decree to election officials in the state saying that voters who appear to be "promoting WWE" could be in violation of a voting law against political material in polling places.
The decree comes eleven days before the U.S. Senate vote between former WWE CEO Linda McMahon (Republican) and Richard Blumenthal (Democrat).
"Even though it doesn't say her name directly ... the brand (WWE) is so ubiquitously associated with the McMahons," said a spokesman for Bysiewicz explaining the ruling."
In a way I agree with it. The law in Connecticut says that you cannot wear political apparel to vote. The WWE wrestlers (yeah, I still call them that) and resources have been used to help promote Linda. I can see where the gray area is. The name McMahon is so closely tied to WWE, it is nearly impossible to separate them.
That's why it wasn't a big deal to wear Terminator shirts to vote for Arnold, as the Terminator franchise didn't donate money to his campaign. The movies didn't feature ads for him running for Governor. It's apples and oranges.
By making a big deal about it, Vince is only making his wife look bad. Now he comes across as a crybaby. All I can think about right now is how he reacted during the Denver area issue. It's just typical Vince, trying to throw his weight around. His lawsuit and the eventual overturning is not a victory for the First Amendment. It's a victory for WWE and Linda. However, at the rate their going, in this election, it will be the last victory they get.
