The update is that he has a completely torn rotator cuff and will be having surgery sometime in the next few days. WWE is hoping he'll be able to work Wrestlemania but even if he is able to work he won't be recovered enough, so it's doubtful. This is really disappointing. Undertaker is just hurt ALL the time. His body is breaking down on him and is probably going to force him to have to retire soon. What a shame. Because WM 25 and 26 show what he is still capable IF he's healthy. A torn RC is painful an serious but 4 months is plenty of time to heal and rehab. Now, if there is ligament or labrum damage too, then WM might now be a sure thing.

If Undertaker misses WM, it'll make the card that much better.

I think there's about a 0% chance he'll miss WrestleMania. This.

Even if it's a quick squash match to his opponent, Taker will be wrestling at WMA.

Even if it's a quick squash match to his opponent, Taker will be wrestling at WMA. Bingo. He's too big a draw not to be there. He's really the last "legend" WrestleMania has.

Well, he sort of does. I think everyone wants to see it get to 20-0. But I'm not one of those fans that wants to see him live a poor life after wrestling because he injured himself so severely at the end. I don't want him to end up in a wheelchair. I don't want him to have to walk with a cane. I don't want him to be always in pain. The fact that he's out for 6-7 months at a time now and then comes back and a week later is already hurt again with his knees, his hips and now his shoulder....I hate to say it, but I think he should just call it quits. Maybe they can work something out where he faces Kane at Wrestlemania and wins the title to go 19-0 and then Miz comes out to cash in MITB and Undertaker can win that quickly thus going 20-0 and then they can do some kind of storyline where he disappears forever and WWE vacates the title because Undertaker has vanished forever. Or maybe even after the Mania have him celebrate have the lights turn off and on and hes no longer in the ring and the Title sitting in the middle of the ring floor. Kind of putting the statement like it was never about the title. that's actually a really cool idea.

He'll just face Barrett at Wrestlemania and win in about 15/20 minutes.

I just can't see him missing Wrestlemania even if he has to wrestle with a sling on to go 20-0.

I feel Taker should just end it up at WrestleMania XXVIII to be honest. If he gets to 20-0 it's going to be awfully predictable.

If Bret Hart can work a match, so can Taker. Granted it might not be a 5 star match but still..

Here's how I want Taker to retire:
He goes to WM against a major opponent (Cena), and beats him. Out comes the MITB winner from the MITB PPV. He beats him, too. Then out comes the guy who won MITB earlier that night. He loses to that guy.
The only fitting way for him to retire is to lose at WM. Not lose and come back and keep wrestling. But definitively lose to a deserving younger talent, and hang it up for good.
