Rob Van Dam def. Shelton Benjamin, Ric Flair, Finlay, Matt Hardy & Bobby Lashley to win the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Monday Night Raw - April 3rd, 2006
During the show, Rob Van Dam is seen backstage receiving a phonecall. He answers and is very friendly with the person on the other end, who apparently congratulates RVD on his victory. He asks the person if the 'date they discussed' is still correct. RVD nods, suggesting that the person confirmed that.
Later that night, Rob Van Dam def. Shelton Benjamin in a non-title match.
Monday Night Raw - May 1st, 2006
Mr. McMahon opens up the show and announces that due to the success of the product last year, the WWE will be hosting a second ECW One Night Stand. The reaction is positive, the fans ready for another ECW reunion.
Later that night, Rob Van Dam is seen on the phone, saying "So you managed to persuade him? Way to go, dude!". Jonathan Coachman interrupts and RVD quickly ends the call. He says he doesn't know what RVD is up to, but he's keeping a close eye on him.
Commentator, Joey Styles quits the Raw broadcast team without giving a reason, half way through the show. He simply gets up and leaves.
Sunday Night HeAT - May 7th, 2006
The Main Event, Viscera versus Snitsky would go to a No Contest when Stevie Richards, Justin Credible and Al Snow interfere with weapons and beat the two men down. Viscera is out first, getting triple teamed and put down after a Stevie T from Stevie Richards, onto a steel chair. Snitsky puts up a fight, throwing them aside, but the numbers game is too much and he is caned rapidly by Justin Credible and finished off with a Snowplow from Al Snow. The ECW trio stand tall to close this edition of HeAT.
Monday Night Raw - May 8th
Jonathan Coachman warns Mr. McMahon that Rob Van Dam may have had something to do with what happened on HeAT. McMahon says he knows exactly what is going on, and says he isn't going to let it happen. Coachman asks him what he means, and McMahon says that it's happening again, and the man behind it is the man who persuaded him to issue a second ECW One Night Stand... Paul Heyman.
Sunday Night HeAT - May 14th, 2006
Stevie Richards & Justin Credible def. Val Venis & Viscera
After the match, Al Snow, Super Crazy and Psicosis ran to the ring and all five men began a beat down on Venis and Viscera. After the beating finished, Stevie Richards grabbed a microphone and told the WWE fans that he only has three words for them - "We're taking over!". The five ECW originals raise their hands to once again close HeAT.
Monday Night Raw - May 15th, 2006
Edge def. John Cena in a non-title match, thanks to a distraction caused by Rob Van Dam.
Friday Night SmackDown - May 19th, 2006
Super Crazy & Psicosis def. Paul London & Brian Kendrick with help from SmackDown commentator, Tazz, who stepped away from the announce table and pulled Kendrick from the ring apron behind the referees back. This distracted London who was then rolled up by Psicosis for the victory.
Tazz told Michael Cole to shut his mouth when questioned about his actions.
Sunday Night HeAT - May 21st, 2006
No ECW superstars competed, but the superstars who had interfered last week came down to ringside and observed as every match took place.
They entered the ring following the Main Event which saw Charlie Haas defeat Rob Conway and threw both men out of the ring and to the floor. Stevie Richards once again spoke on the microphone, stating that they are taking Sunday Night HeAT for ECW, and will do this each and every week until it belongs entirely to ECW. The fans are confused as to what this means.
Monday Night Raw - May 22nd, 2006
Rob Van Dam opens the show and announces that he will be cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at ECW One Night Stand II for a WWE Championship match against John Cena. John Cena comes out and tells RVD that he will be ready.
Mr. McMahon and Jonathan Coachman are backstage, and McMahon says that he has asked Paul Heyman to attend Raw next week for questioning.
Friday Night SmackDown - May 26th, 2006
During the show, the commentators stand in the ring and Michael Cole questions Tazz on his actions last week. He asks him why he interfered in the tag team bout, and Tazz tells him that he is sick of sitting next to Cole, listening to him squeal and screech after every move. He says that he quits SmackDown and tells Cole do his job on his own like a real commentator should, obviously referencing to Joey Styles. Tazz leaves Cole shocked in the ring and he is forced to call the rest of the show alone.
Sunday Night HeAT - May 28th, 2006
Jonathan Coachman opens this edition of HeAT, saying he has been sent by Mr. McMahon to make sure everything stays in order. He stands alongside Gene Snitsky and Viscera for protection. The night passes without any ECW interaction.
Monday Night Raw - May 29th, 2006
Mr. McMahon and Jonathan Coachman are out, ready to confront Paul Heyman. Heyman comes to the ring to a pop and begins speaking with McMahon. McMahon asks him why he is doing this. He says that he gave him what he wanted, and that's a second ECW One Night Stand, and asks him what more does he want. Heyman smirks and says that One Night Stand was only the beginning, and he wants a full time revival of ECW. McMahon is clearly shocked and tells him he will not do it.
Heyman tells him that he knows it's good for business, and that he just needs to put his ego aside and let ECW live one more time. McMahon is hesitant and still tells him no. Heyman simply says that the invasion will continue until they have taken the Sunday Night HeAT slot and converted it into ECW themselves. McMahon is angered by this and tells Heyman that he has a proposal for him.
He says that if Rob Van Dam can defeat John Cena for the WWE Championship at One Night Stand, he'll agree to whatever terms Heyman has to offer. But if John Cena retains the title, then every single member of this ECW invasion will be fired and banished from the WWE for good. Heyman thinks about it and then puts his hand out, and McMahon shakes it. McMahon gets up in Heyman's face and tells him "You just screwed ECW!" and laughs sadistically.
Rob Van Dam fights Edge to a No Contest when the WWE Champion, John Cena interferes and a three way brawl breaks out.
Sunday Night HeAT - June 4th, 2006
Viscera def. Justin Credible with a Viscera Bomb.
Afterwards, the entire ECW army from the past weeks came to the ring and jumped Viscera. However, WWE superstars rushed to the scene, including the likes of Snitsky and Val Venis, and a huge brawl began to close this weeks edition of HeAT.
Monday Night Raw - June 5th, 2006
To close this weeks show, WWE Champion, John Cena came to the ring to address the fans and the ECW superstars. He says that this Sunday, he will represent the WWE and will do his best to retain the WWE Championship, preventing ECW from invading. He is interrupted by Paul Heyman who comes out and tells Cena that it's all well and good that he is trying to defend the WWE, but deep down he knows that nothing can stop ECW from taking what it wants. He says that come One Night Stand, Rob Van Dam will be holding the WWE Championship, and as part of the terms Vince McMahon agreed to hear, they will turn it into the ECW Heavyweight Championship. John Cena tells him that they won't do that as long as he still breathes. Heyman then sadistically says "Choose your words wisely, John..."
Suddenly, Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, Sabu, Terry Funk and Rob Van Dam all enter the ring and begin beating Cena down. They brutalise him, Sandman smacking him with his Singapore cane. Funk and Dreamer stomp down on him while Sabu and Rob Van Dam rip the Raw announce table apart. Sandman, Funk and Dreamer throw Cena to the outside, and Sabu and RVD place him on the announce desk. Sabu then enters the ring with a steel chair, sets it up and then uses it to catapult himself onto the top rope. From there, he leaps and drives Cena through the announce table with the Arabian Facebuster.
The ECW Originals stand tall with smiles on their faces, raising their hands in formation as Raw fades to a close. |

This is a pretty cool start. What makes it interesting is the fact that you've gone about this in a completely different way. Can't wait to see ONS2.

i  ing love the backstory to this. i like the idea of doing a totally different approach for this storyline. ecw replacing heat should be fun. you've done a great job hyping one night stand II. can't wait for more updates. |

- The ECW chant echoes around the Hammerstein Ballroom as the fans are clearly ready for this huge event, getting a chance to see their favourite ECW Extremists reunited. We kick things off with the entrance of the messiah himself, Paul Heyman to a massive pop. He walks out through the black curtain, from the classic hole in the wall and emerges from behind the smoke, pumped out by the smoke machines. He walks down the aisle, slapping the hands of the ECW fans. He then enters the ring and begins to speak to the crowd.
- Before he can even begin, the crowd are chanting "Thank you, Paul!". He has tears in his eyes and he thanks the ECW fans. The chant dies down and he begins to speak. He says that tonight is the night, tonight is the night that determines the future of ECW. He reminds us that if Rob Van Dam wins tonight, then ECW will be given a weekly show and will be officially revived. This gets a huge pop, including an ECW chant. Heyman says "It won't be any old revival. It won't be a show filled with crappy comedy gags, male cheerleaders, sexually crazed commentators..." The crowd laugh as Heyman continues. He continues, saying "And I guarantee it will happen, my friends, because Rob Van Dam is going to drive Cena's ass into the canvas and bring home the WWE Championship! And then comes the good part... we demolish that crappy piece of metal and bring back a true Championship belt, the ECW Heavyweight Championship!" The crowd pop once again. A "F**k John Cena!" chant breaks out. Heyman then closes the segment by saying "Tonight is going to be unique - this ain't Monday Night Raw, this ain't Friday Night SmackDown - this will be extreme - this will be dangerous - this will be E-C-f***ing-W!" A final ECW chant breaks out and the ECW theme hits as Heyman bows to the fans and leaves the ring. We then cut to the commentary area.
- We see Joey Styles and Tazz side by side at the commentary desk. They welcome us to the show and tell us how great it feels to be back on air. They each talk about how it felt good leaving their WWE jobs for this night. Styles says that he knows Rob Van Dam will win tonight, and Tazz agrees. We then get underway with the opening contest.
The F.B.I (Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke) w/ Big Guido def. Super Crazy & Psicosis
The ECW fans were happy to see the return of The F.B.I here. They came to the ring waving the flag of Italy, and Joey Styles picked up on Tony Mamaluke not having an ounce of Italian in him. Super Crazy and Psicosis got a good pop too. Super Crazy and Little Guido started things off. It was a fast paced encounter between these two, and Crazy tagged in Psicosis who continued to work on Guido. There were a few close falls, and Guido managed to get a tag to Mamaluke. When he entered, all hell broke loose as Crazy re-entered the match and began battling with Guido. The referee couldn't maintain order and Big Guido stepped into the ring, grabbing both Super Crazy and Psicosis by the throat, ready for a big double chokeslam. However, the duo deliver a double low blow to Big Guido as the crowd share his pain. They then deliver a double superkick to the skull, taking Big Guido down. The distraction did work though as Tony Mamaluke dragged Psicosis out of the ring and Little Guido hit Super Crazy with the Sicilian Slice for the victory.
- The F.B.I celebrated their victory as Super Crazy and Psicosis were disappointed on the outside. All of a sudden, Psicosis unleashes on Super Crazy, smashing him into the steel steps as the crowd look on in shock. There is a "You sold out!" chant, and Psicosis responds by brushing off the fans and storming away from ringside. We then fade to a promo package.
- We see a promo package showing a quick clip from the original ECW. We then return to ECW.
- We return to see the entrance of Justin Credible, who comes out alongside Jason Knight. The duo enter the ring and Justin Credible begins to speak. He says that he is the sole reason ECW is getting this opportunity tonight, as he dominated Sunday Night HeAT and personally threatened the WWE. He says that without him, ECW would still be dead and buried. Before he can continue, the theme of The Sandman hits to a huge pop from the crowd. The comes out through the ECW crowd on the balcony and much like ECW One Night Stand 2005, the crowd sing along to his theme. Justin Credible and Jason Knight look on, slightly nervous that The Sandman is walking towards them, wielding a Singapore cane. He eventually gets to the ring, already busted open from his beer cans which he smashed against his head. His theme dies down and Credible begins to speak. He starts to back out of his previous comment, saying he was never insulting The Sandman's part in this revival, and that he'd appreciate it if he could have another challenger. The Sandman looks around, as if asking the crowd what he should do. he response is pretty obvious when a "F**k 'em, Sandman, f**k 'em!" chant breaks out. Sandman nods his head and - WHAM! He drills Credible with a Singapore cane shot, taking him to the canvas. Jason Knight escapes the ring and a referee appears, ready to start the match.
The Sandman def. Justin Credible w/ Jason Knight
The Sandman continued to beat Credible with the Singapore cane, one shot after another to the spine. Eventually, Jason Knight plucked up the courage to enter the ring and jump on The Sandman's back, trying to buy Credible some time. Sandman struggles to get Knight off his back, but the plan works as Credible picks up his own Singapore cane and smacks the legs of The Sandman, chopping him down. Credible and Knight laugh as Sandman lies on the canvas. Credible tells Knight to lift Sandman up and measures him for a cane shot. He swings but Sandman drops to the canvas and Credible drills Knight to the crowd's delight, sending him out of the ring. Sandman then wraps the Singapore cane around Credible's neck and pulls back, dropping him with the White Russian Legsweep and then covering him for the victory.
- The Sandman celebrates his victory as Credible and Knight leave in pain. Sandman laughs and celebrates with the crowd as we fade backstage.
- Backstage, the crowd pop as we see Joel Gertner standing by with a microphone in hand. He does his usual act, promoting himself before eventually going into the interview. He then tells us that his guest is none other than WWE superstars, Edge and Mick Foley, alongside Lita, who get tons of heat. Gertner says that tonight, Edge has been booked to go up against Tommy Dreamer, and asks him how he feels about competing at an ECW reunion event. Edge says that he’s been given a few pointers by Mick Foley as for what to expect. He says that tonight, Tommy Dreamer will have the old man, Terry Funk in his corner, which will give him absolutely no advantage whatsoever. The trio laugh and then Mick Foley begins to speak. He says that ECW sold him out a long time ago when they abandoned him, simply because he looked for popularity in the WWE. He says that tonight, he knows the ECW scum will be hating on him for representing the WWE, but the fact of the matter is, the WWE gave him fame ECW could only dream of, and for that reason, he will represent the better company, and be in Edge’s corner tonight. Edge then closes the segment by saying that if Tommy Dreamer is the heart and soul of ECW, then he’s going to rip out that heart, and kill the disease that is ECW. The trio walk off leaving Gertner in disgust as we fade back to ringside.
Edge w/ Mick Foley & Lita def. Tommy Dreamer w/ Terry Funk & Beulah McGillicutty
The ECW fans erupted when Tommy Dreamer brought out Beulah by his side. The match began as a wrestling match, Dreamer and Edge showing off their skills, but it soon got hardcore when Mick Foley slid in a steel chair for Edge to use. Edge grabbed it and most definitely used it, driving it into the skull of Dreamer. Terry Funk didn’t let that slide and walked around the ring to confront Foley. The two shared some trash talk, Funk telling Foley he had sold out, but Foley lunged at Funk and the two began to brawl on the outside. Meanwhile, the match continued inside, Dreamer began fighting back, and was about to drop Edge with the Dreamer DDT, but Lita jumped onto the ring apron and began screaming at Dreamer. Dreamer stopped, but Beulah entered the ring and then flung Lita over the ropes and down to the canvas. The crowd popped, and Joey Styles screamed “CATFIGHT!” as the two vixens did battle. Beulah eventually got the advantage, and as this was all happening, Dreamer had pulled in a barbed wire board and set it up in the corner. The crowd erupts as Beulah drops Lita with a Piledriver. But the shock comes when out of nowhere, Edge delivers a thunderous Spear to Beulah, taking her down to the canvas. Edge smiles sadistically over a downed Beulah. Dreamer sees it and lunges at Edge in anger, driving right hands into the head of Edge. On the outside, Mick Foley is bouncing Funk’s head off of the steel steps, and finally drops him to the floor with a Double Arm DDT. Foley then looks into the ring and sees Dreamer lifting Edge onto his shoulders, ready to put him through the barbed wire board with the Dreamer Driver. Foley slides under the ropes and hits a low blow on Tommy Dreamer as the crowd boo. Edge stumbles back and then runs, hitting Dreamer with a huge Spear right through the barbed wire board, which starts a “Holy s**t!” chant across the Hammerstein Ballroom. Edge then drags Dreamer into the center of the ring and cover him for the three count.
- Edge, Mick Foley and Lita celebrate the victory as the referee tries to release Dreamer from the barbed wire. Terry Funk and Beulah re-enter the ring and also try to assist Dreamer. Edge, Foley and Lita point and laugh at the trio as they celebrate their win, much to the crowd’s displeasure. We then cut to a promo package.
- We see a promo package for WWE Vengeance, airing on June 25th, 2006. We then return to ECW.
- We see a darkened room, from which emerge Bill Alfonso and Sabu to a huge pop. Alfonso says that tonight, Sabu has been given a match against the World Heavyweight Champion, Rey Mysterio. He says that by defeating the World Heavyweight Champion, Sabu will edge ECW one step closer to revival. They leave the room and we return to ECW.
Yoshihiro Tajiri & Mikey Whipwreck def. Stevie Richards & Balls Mahoney
The fans loved this one, despite it not being all too long. Stevie Richards kicked things off with Yoshihiro Tajiri. Tajiri kept Richards at bay with an array of hard kicks, which he has become famous for. The fans chanted “We want Whipwreck!” and Tajiri responded positively, tagging him in as the fans erupted. He went to work on Richards, but later lost the advantage and Richards managed to tag in Mahoney. Mahoney did his signature punches, each one getting a “Balls!” chant from the crowd, followed by a final “Wooooooaaaaaahhh – BALLS!”, sending Whipwreck to the canvas. Mahoney signaled that the end was coming and lifted Whipwreck up for the Nutcracker Suite, but Tajiri jumped in and began rapidly hitting kick left and right. Stevie Richards jumped in and both he and Tajiri brawled to the outside. Using his time wisely, Whipwreck lifted Balls onto the top rope and then screamed “Whippersnapper!” before jumping off and drilling Balls Mahoney with the Whippersnapper before covering him for the victory.
- Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshihiro Tajiri celebrated the victory, successful in their reunion of The Unholy Alliance. They raised their hands as we cut backstage.
- Joel Gertner is once again backstage, but this time, alongside the World Heavyweight Champion, Rey Mysterio, who gets a mixed reaction. Gertner asks him if tonight he is representing the WWE or ECW, and Mysterio tells him that he isn’t going to be taking sides, which gets a lot of heat. He says that both ECW and the WWE have given him huge opportunities and helped him break into the business, and he doesn’t want to have to choose a side. He says that he is going out there as both a WWE and an ECW star, and simply hopes that his fans respect that decision. He leaves and we cut back to ringside.
Sabu w/ Bill Alfonso def. Rey Mysterio
Mysterio got mostly boos after deciding to be a neutral superstar, while Sabu got a huge ovation. This was fast paced all the way with springboards left and right. Mysterio took Sabu out with a huge springboard hurricanrana, and rolled him up for the pin, but only got a two. Sabu hit Mysterio with multiple springboard heel kicks, and then asked Alfonso to throw him a chair, which he did. Sabu planted Mysterio with a scoop slam and then set up the chair, ready for the Triple Jump Moonsault, but Mysterio moved. However, Sabu landed on his feet and it looked as if he was prepared, but Mysterio grabbed the steel chair and smacked Sabu across the skull and both men drop to the canvas. Mysterio gets to his feet first and uses the steel chair for a Triple Jump Moonsault of his own, but Sabu lifts up his knees and Mysterio’s ribs collide with them. Sabu rolls out of the ring and clears the ringside table and then sets it up lengthways from the apron to the guard rail. He jumps onto the apron, ready to get back in the ring, but Mysterio uses the steel chair from earlier to catapult himself up and hits a seated senton on Sabu, both men crashing through the table Sabu had just set up. The ECW fans chanted “Holy s**t!” as both men lay out cold on the floor. After a while, Mysterio manages to roll Sabu into the ring and goes for a cover, but Sabu kicks out. Mysterio lifts Sabu up and then hangs him up for the 619. He connects and Sabu stumbles back, but Mysterio gets caught as he goes for the West Coast Pop, Sabu holding onto him. He then lifts Mysterio back up and then plants him through the set up chair with a massive powerbomb. Sabu then hooks the legs and gets the victory.
- Sabu is victorious as Mysterio lay twisted on top of the crushed steel chair. Bill Alfonso jumps around the ring blowing his whistle as Sabu does his signature taunt. We then cut to a promo package.
- We see a promo package showing a quick clip from the original ECW. We then return to ECW.
- We see the backstage area and Mr. McMahon and Jonathan Coachman are standing in what looks like an office. They get a ton of heat from the ECW crowd. McMahon says he is going to go out there and be in John Cena’s corner tonight. Coachman tells him that it isn’t a good idea, telling him it’s too dangerous to go out there amongst those insane hooligans. He tells him to stay safe and stay backstage. McMahon says he needs to make sure Cena wins tonight, and he can’t risk Paul Heyman bringing ECW back. Coachman says that he has a better idea if things are looking bad. McMahon says he’s listening and we fade out back to ringside.
- The theme of Hardcore Holly hits the Hammerstein Ballroom and he gets a decent reaction. He comes down to the ring looking serious and then enters. He is handed a microphone by ring announcer Bob Artese and then begins to speak. There is already a “Crash!” chant around the arena. He speaks to the ECW fans, telling them that tonight; he is here to fight on behalf of ECW, on behalf of his late cousin, Crash Holly. This gets a pop from the crowd. He then challenges any ECW Extremist to a match, right now. The theme of Al Snow hits and a match gets underway.
Hardcore Holly def. Al Snow
This was a pretty quick match, but it wasn’t a squash. Al Snow gained a small advantage towards the middle, but Hardcore Holly was the star of this match, wrestling for Crash. Al Snow went for a powerbomb, but Holly lifted him up and then began to spin around before finally coming to a halt and driving him into the canvas with the Alabama Slam for the victory.
- Hardcore Holly celebrates, pointing up to the sky in memory of Crash Holly. Both Holly and Snow shake hands and then leave the ring as we fade backstage.
- We see the ECW locker room where Rob Van Dam is standing along with Paul Heyman, surrounded by all the ECW Extremists, including the likes of The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Stevie Richards, and some who haven’t competed tonight such as 2 Cold Scorpio, Danny Doring, Roadkill and C.W. Anderson, amongst others. They are all pumping RVD up, telling him that this is his opportunity, his chance to make it to the top, and take ECW with him. RVD nods his head, and Paul Heyman gives him some final words. He tells him that he has all faith in him tonight, but has a feeling that Vince McMahon has something up his sleeve. RVD asks him what, and Heyman says he doesn’t know, but he has a feeling. Terry Funk steps forward, puts his hand on RVD’s shoulder and tells him that they have his back. The ECW Extremists nod their heads in agreement and RVD thanks them. He then says he’s going to go out there for ECW and he’s going to bring home the WWE Championship, which is the key to ECW’s revival. Heyman pats him on the back and says “Take that bitch to the extreme!”. RVD walks off with his Money in the Bank briefcase in hand and we fade to ringside.
- John Cena gets tons and tons of heat during his entrance, including many “F**k you, Cena!” and “Cena sucks d**k!” chants, much to the amusement of Joey Styles and Tazz. Van Dam gets an enormous pop, the biggest of the night, and out of wrestling respect, John Cena applauds his opponent, but the crowd still can’t stand him. We see a shot of a banner from the balcony which reads “If Cena wins – WE RIOT!” RVD hands over his Money in the Bank briefcase to referee John Finnegan and officially cashes it in for this WWE Championship match. John Cena throws his cap and shirt into the crowd, only to have it thrown back at him. If the ECW hatred for him wasn’t obvious enough, it was now. Cena eventually gave in trying to throw it out and handed it to the ringside officials. The two circled around the ring as the crowd chanted “F**k ‘em, Van Dam, f**k ‘em!”
WWE Championship Match – Rob Van Dam def. John Cena [C]
The match begins as the two lock up, and Cena shows that he is the stronger competitor by shoving RVD to the canvas, and he gets a ton of heat. RVD gets back up and the two lock up yet again, this time, RVD monkey flips John Cena, sending him to the canvas to a huge pop. They lock up once again, but this time, John Cena locks in a headlock, and the crowd boo. RVD bounces him off the ropes and on rebound, hits him with a huge heel kick. The match then kick starts, RVD using his speed to his advantage. He dropkicks Cena to the outside and then follows him out. They brawl on the outside near the ringside table, but Cena grabs the ring bell and smashes it over RVD’s skull. Cena then upturns the table and throws it into the ring. He lifts RVD up and goes to whip him into the guard rail, but RVD reverses it and Cena flies into it instead. The fans in that area point and laugh at Cena as he holds his spine. RVD runs at Cena, but Cena throws him over his head and he lands on the fans in the front row. RVD then goes to get back over the railings, but Cena delivers a big boot to his exposed head. He then rolls RVD into the ring and covers him, but only gets a two count. Cena gets frustrated and leaves the ring. He looks under it and pulls out a Singapore cane. He re-enters the ring and swings at RVD, but he ducks and RVD delivers a roundhouse kick, taking Cena down. He then delivers a Rolling Thunder to Cena before covering him, but only getting a two. Both men get to their feet and begin to trade blows, the crowd cheering when RVD hit, but booing when Cena did. Cena got a slight advantage and delivered a few shots, but RVD returns the favor with some shots of his own. RVD sets up the table from earlier and then places Cena on it. He then climbs up the turnbuckle, apparently ready for the Five-Star Frog Splash, but suddenly – Edge shows up and pulls the legs of RVD, causing him to fall into no man’s land. A “F**k you, Edge!” chant begins as Edge simply smirks. Not only is Edge out here, but Mick Foley, Carlito, Snitsky, Viscera, Chris Masters and Val Venis all jump surround the ring as Edge beats down on RVD. The crowd are clearly angered by this, giving them a ton of heat, but they erupt at the sight of ECW Extremists coming to RVD’s aid. Tommy Dreamer, Terry Funk, The Sandman, Sabu, Stevie Richards and Balls Mahoney rush out to fend of the WWE superstars. More WWE and ECW superstars run to the ring and a huge brawl breaks out around the ring. Both RVD and John Cena are laid out in the ring while this brawl happens. Then, all of a sudden, we hear the theme of none other than Chris Benoit to a gigantic pop! He storms to the ring with a serious look on his face, returning from his recent injury. He delivers some hard chops to Chris Masters and Carlito on the outside and then slid into the ring. John Cena had made it to his feet and walks right into Benoit who hits him with multiple chops to the chest and then spins him around and drive him through the table with a German Suplex! The crowd go nuts as Benoit screams and raises his hands. He then shouts at RVD to climb the turnbuckle, and he does, leaping off and connecting with a huge Five-Star Frog Splash. RVD covers John Cena and John Finnegan counts the pinfall, along with the 2,460 ECW fans in attendance and gets the biggest victory of his career!
- Rob Van Dam’s theme hits and the Hammerstein Ballroom has never been louder as Rob Van Dam is handed the WWE Championship. Chris Benoit hugs him and raises his hand as the WWE superstars retreat and the ECW Extremists enter the ring to celebrate with RVD. We see Paul Heyman run out to the ring with tears in his eyes and he immediately hugs Van Dam, and then Chris Benoit. ECW has done it! ECW lives again! However, the celebration is cut short with the theme of Mr. McMahon to a ton of heat. He struts out with a very serious look on his face. Jonathan Coachman follows him, but is clearly nervous about walking out to the ring.
- McMahon and Coachman enter the ring and come face to face with Paul Heyman and the new WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam. McMahon screams into Heyman’s face, shouting “I hate your guts! You and all your ECW scum make me sick! All of you in this arena are scum, and none of you are ever welcome to a WWE show – EVER!” The crowd chant “We don’t care!” which angers McMahon even more. Heyman laughs and says “Vince, you signed the contract, you agreed to my terms, and ECW is going to be revived, and I am scheduling it’s return for, let’s say, this Sunday?” The crowd erupt as McMahon’s face drops. But Heyman isn’t finished, he says “And since you’re now standing in MY ring, as this is ECW, I am telling you to get the hell out!” The crowd pop as McMahon is stunned. Coachman tries to pull McMahon, telling him they should leave, realizing that the ECW Extremists are starting to surround them. McMahon says “How dare you speak to me like that! This is still MY ring, damn you!” Heyman shrugs his shoulders and says “Have it your way…”
- Suddenly, several Extremists grab Jonathan Coachman and throw him out of the ring, leaving McMahon all alone. McMahon looks around him, and Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk grab each of his arms. He screams for them to unhand him, but it’s too late. The Sandman grabs his Singapore cane and smacks McMahon over the head with it to a huge pop from the crowd. He drops to the canvas and then Sabu springboards from the ropes and delivers a huge Arabian Facebuster. Heyman then says “The floor is your, Rob!” and RVD climbs up the turnbuckle, does his signature taunt and then delivers a huge Five-Star Frog Splash to the WWE Chairman. The original ECW theme hits and the Extremists stand tall as ECW One Night Stand II comes to a feel-good close. Rob Van Dam is lifted onto the shoulders of Big Guido, holding his WWE Championship high as the show fades to a close.

- Great rally up for the probably hammered Hammerstein Ballroom from Paulie. - Awesome opening contest to have and love that the F.B.I. appear credible here. Whoa, whoa, Psicosis attacking Crazy? I'd love for both of them to come to ECW, to be honest, and have them feud over there. That'd be some pretty intense shiz. - em, Sandman, em. Love the Hammerstein crowd and can so picture them chanting that. Sandman winning is awesome anytime in ECW. - Nice interview from Edge, Lita, and Foley. Gertner appearance for the ing win. Love that guy. - Tajiri and Whipwreck always worked well together; don't care much for Stevie or Balls in the ring at all; so glad the UA got the win. - Sick match from Sabu and the World Heavyweight Champion here. I'm 100% fine with Sabu winning in a non-title situation. - Hardcore Holly being a part of ECW is awesome. I still miss Crash. Him getting a squash over Snow is fine; like that they showed respect afterward. - Loved the rally up for RVD from Paulie and the ECW locker room. Amazing entrance given to Cena from the crowd; Cena had balls entering there at all in reality. - Awesome main event. Loved the appearances from the Anti-ECWers and the true extremists. Chris Benoit! Chris Benoit! Bah gawd! Epic arrival for him; really glad he's a part of ECW side. Rob Van Dam winning was quite obvious, as it was necessary in this event. - Hell yeah! Take out the damn trash of Vinnie Mac and Coach. Great way to end the awesome show. Really great event, Elliot. You should really stick with this - I wanna see where it goes. |

Great show! Ilike how even though it was different, it stayed true to the actual show.
Lol, Whipwreck lifted Balls onto the turnbuckle? I don't know about that...
I don't care too much for Holly coming out, even if was on the behalf of his cousin Crash. I just don't think the ECW would accept him.
Could've done without the WWE crusaders, seeing as it was the focal point of ONS I.

-Typical promo somewhat of what happened in real-life. Heyman, who brought back ECW deserved it. So good job here.
-FBI over Crazy and Psicosis is a great start! I too would love to see a Crazy/Psicosis feud.
-Sandman over Credible was expected since was always a huge part of ECW, plus the attack from earlier on.
-Edge over Dreamer was expected to continue his monstrous heel push.
-Tajiri and Whipwreck over here is decent for some memories. Mahoney and Richards losing was expected. Good call here.
-Awesome fight between Mysterio and Sabu. Sabu, another strong part of ECW winning was expected.
-Holly over Snow was fine, to cool the fans down from the match before and ready them for the main event.
-Loved the main event. Benwah coming to ECW is epic. RVD winning the gold is too.
-Great show; can't wait to see where this goes.

ECW One Night Stand: Sunday 11th June 2006...Interested in where this promotion will go, hopefully not so it becomes as mainstream-style as the WWE. Paul Heyman's promo was likely, and he was just pretty much promoting the main event with Rob Van Dam and John Cena. No complaints. The FBI beating the Mexicools...I would have switched that decision really. Super Crazy and Psicosis being more familiar with these fans, they would have been a better selection. Justing Credible's promo was nice, and in deja vu from their old feud in ECW, Sandman dominates. Just keep Justin Credible in a decent position, he's a damn good wrestler and is definitely better than Sandman. The Sandman with the win was for nostalgic purposes of course. Would have had this match later in the show. Wasn't fond of Mick Foley and Terry Funk not competing when they are able, Edge and Tommy Dreamer just wouldn't be as barbaric. Solid match though, with most of the same features anyway. Edge with the win was for the better anyway. Yoshihiro Tajiri and Mikey Whipwreck beating Stevie Richards and Balls Mahoney...odd that Richards and Mahoney team, and stranger how Tajiri and Whipwreck beat them. Next, Sabu had to beat Rey Mysterio for nostalgic purposes, brilliant match there. I'd say you put Hardcore Holly and Al Snow on too late in the show, and as much as a tribute to Crash Holly it is, this screamed 1999 hardcore match in the WWF. Chaotic match between Rob Van Dam and John Cena with RAW invaders, and I love how Chris Benoit joined ECW. Brilliant write-up, especially with Vince McMahon coming out afterwards, all vicious and being attacked. Great start to the season of ECW.

This past Monday on Raw, Executive Assistant, Jonathan Coachman explained how WWE Chairman of the Board, Mr. McMahon could not be in attendance due to the attack suffered at the hands of the ECW Army last night at ECW One Night Stand II. However, he said that Mr. McMahon will be in attendance this Sunday night when the first ECW episode airs on Sci-Fi, and will be there to make sure the ECW Extremists and Paul Heyman are punished for their actions. What will go down when the Chairman visits ECW on their premiere episode? Don't miss it! |

 ECW on Sci-Fi; Sunday, June 18, 2006Before the show opens up, we see a quick recap of what happened last Sunday night when ECW One Night Stand II took place. It shows quick clips from each of the matches and finally closes with a shot of Rob Van Dam capturing the WWE Championship from John Cena thanks to a returning Chris Benoit.
An all new opening package plays, set to the theme of 'Bodies' by Drowning Pool. It finishes and the original ECW theme plays as we cut to the arena, the crowd chanting "ECW!" as loud as possible. We are shown the entrance area which is exactly like the original entrance, with the brick, hole-in-the-wall style, with steel cage walls at either side. The announce desk is placed alongside the entrance and we are taken to it to see Joey Styles and Taz welcoming us to the premiere of ECW. Taz says he can't explain how amazing it feels to be sitting here in an ECW arena, surrounding by nostalgia. Styles agrees, saying this is possibly one of the greatest moments of his life, seeing ECW revived, and it's all thanks to Rob Van Dam, who defeated John Cena, and therefore gave Paul Heyman the opportunity to get whatever he wanted from Mr. McMahon. Just then, the original ECW theme hits once again, and the crowd erupt as we see the entrance of the ECW Messiah, Paul Heyman. He comes down to the ring with what looks to be the original ECW Championship belt over his shoulder.
Heyman comes out to a "Thank you, Paul!" chant, and he is visibly very emotional, thanking the crowd. The first thing he says is "The tribe of extreme has risen again!" to an enormous pop. He then goes on to say how good it feels to be back in an ECW ring, rather than a WWE one. He says that Vince McMahon signed the contract, and Heyman gave him a whole list of things he wanted. Obviously, he told him he wanted the Sunday Night HeAT television slot for the revival of ECW. He also told him that after what happened at One Night Stand, he wanted the contract of Chris Benoit. The crowd pop at the mention of his name, and a "Wolverine!" chant breaks out. Heyman also says that he has a few things left to request from McMahon, but he's going to make those at a later date. He tells us that he has been given complete control over ECW, saying that he isn't speaking from a script, he isn't being told what to say by someone in his ear, this is original ECW, and this is all heart! Then he says it's time to get down to business, and the first order of business is to call out the NEW WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam. The crowd pop as his theme hits and RVD comes out.
Heyman congratulates Van Dam on becoming the WWE Champion, but he's about to receive something much greater. Van Dam smiles as Heyman offers him the ECW Championship, christening him the NEW ECW Champion. The crowd cheer as RVD takes the belt and holds them both in the air. RVD says that he is honored to be a part of ECW once again and can't wait to defend the ECW Championship. He may have spoken to soon as the theme of Chris Benoit hits to a gigantic ovation. Benoit comes out and congratulates Van Dam on his WWE Championship victory. He says that when he returned at ECW One Night Stand, he knew that he was going to join ECW as soon as he could, because he wouldn't miss it for the world. BUT - he wants to be the first challenger for the ECW Championship. The crowd cheer as RVD and Heyman nod their heads. Heyman says he thinks it's a great idea, and he thinks they should do it tonight, to kick things off with a bang. Heyman says it will be Rob Van Dam versus Chris Benoit for the ECW Championship in tonight's Main Event! Benoit and RVD shake hands and they leave. But before Heyman leaves, he says this... "Tonight, ECW returns, and we're not going anywhere. If Vince McMahon wants to show his face tonight, he can. But mark my words, he isn't just going to show up at a WWE show, he's going to be showing up at ECW, and THIS IS EXTREME!". The ECW theme hits and the trio leave as we fade to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
We return to see Super Crazy make his entrance to a huge pop. He comes out and says something in Mexican, before translating it to English. He says that he doesn't understand why Psicosis attacked him at One Night Stand, but tonight, he wants an explanation. The theme of Psicosis hits and the crowd give him a huge amount of heat. Some crowd members try to touch him as he walks down the aisle, but he slaps their hands away, shouting profanities at them. He enters the ring and speaks to Super Crazy, telling him that he was always the one who held back the Mexicools. He says that Crazy was always the one who went off and did his own thing, like jumping from balconies, leaping over the ropes, stealing the spotlight, and he has had enough. Crazy says he and Psicosis were meant to be best friends, but Psicosis says that they were, before hitting him with the microphone. A referee rushes to ringside and we have ourselves a match.
Psicosis def. Super Crazy
Psicosis showed a very vicious side to him in this match, brutally attacking his former tag team partner. Super Crazy made the attempt to fight back, and did get quite a bit of offense in, but unfortunately, Psicosis and his new found aggression wasn't allowing none of it. He eventually hit Super Crazy with the Psycho Stunner for the victory.
Psicosis celebrated, but got nothing but heat from the fans. He made sure they knew that he didn't care, doing the 'low-blow' taunt. He then dropped from the turnbuckle and stared at Crazy who was making it to his feet. He pretended to help Crazy up, only to hit him with a second Psycho Stunner. Psicosis then spat on Super Crazy before leaving as we fade to commentary.
Joey Styles and Taz say how much of a disgusting display that was, and how much Psicosis has changed. Styles then reminds us that ECW has been warned of the arrival of WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon tonight. We are shown a shot of the parking lot, awaiting the arrival of McMahon's limousine. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
We return to see a promo package. It shows an extremely dark room with dim red lighting. All of a sudden, a vampiric face flashes on the screen for a split second before returning to black. The words "Coming Soon" appear in a red, gothic font as we fade back to ECW.
We go backstage to what appears to be the old promo area. A large ECW banner is hanging in the background, and Tommy Dreamer walks on to the scene to a huge pop. Dreamer says how good it feels to be back in ECW, it is where his heart lies. He claims that at One Night Stand, he was unfortunate when he lost to Edge, but he isn't going to let that get him down. He vows to bring back the Tommy Dreamer that was once in ECW, and not the crappy WWE Tommy Dreamer was was "somewhat hardcore", mocking the phrase "hardcore". He says that tonight, he is going to show the world why he is the heart and soul of ECW, when he takes on Justin Credible. He walks off and we see the signature 'interference' on the screen, abruptly cutting back to ringside.
Justin Credible with Jason Knight def. Tommy Dreamer
Both men were looking to redeem themselves after losses at One Night Stand, but unfortunately, only one man could do that, and it turned out to be Justin Credible. Credible used a singapore cane on Dreamer multiple times, until Dreamer finally got hold of it and used it on Credible, before snapping it over his knee. Dreamer then got a steel chair and was ready to use it, but Credible hit him with a low blow, forcing him to drop the chair. Credible then hit That's Incredible, planting Dreamer on his head for the victory.
After the match, Credible and Jason Knight celebrated as Dreamer held his head. He looked pretty pissed at himself. The referee went to check on Dreamer but Dreamer shoved him away. Dreamer looked extremely angry that he had lost another match and stormed off, the fans looking on pretty confused. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
We return to see the entrance of C.W. Anderson to a decent reaction. He comes out to the ring and begins to speak. He doesn't seem to have a real topic to discuss, he just seem to drone on with the generic "I'm better than everyone else speech". The crowd react with a "Boring!" chant and even "Get the f*ck out!", accompanied by rhythmic clapping. Anderson didn't even seem to be bothered by it as he continued to drone on and on. However, the mood lifted when the theme of The Sandman hit. Anderson stopped talking and looked around, as the cameras picked up The Sandman in the crowd. He comes out to an enormous pop and finally enters the ring. Anderson goes to speak, but WHAM! Sandman nails him with the singapore cane and beats the crap out of him as the crowd chant "F*ck 'em, Sandman, f*ck 'em!". Sandman eventually hits the White Russian Legsweep and throws Anderson out of the ring as his theme hits once more. Sandman celebrates with a few beers before... BAM! Out of nowhere, a large man attacked The Sandman from behind. Joey Styles says "That's... that's Test!", and sure thing, it was Test, making his return to the WWE, here on ECW. He lifted The Sandman up onto his shoulders before planting him with a huge TKO as the crowd looked on in shock. Test taunted, as he got a ton of heat from the ECW fans. We then fade to a promo package.
We see a promo package for WWE Vengeance, airing on June 25th, 2006. We then return to ECW.
We are once again shown the parking lot, and we see the arrival of a limousine to a lot of heat. It pulls up and out gets Jonathan Coachman, followed by Vince McMahon. McMahon tells Coachman to look out for any "ECW scum", because this is a new suit. The crowd start a "F*ck you, Vince!" chant as we fade backstage.
Paul Heyman is backstage talking to Hardcore Holly to a decent pop. He thanks Holly for signing the contract, and says that Crash would have been pleased. Holly says that he is glad to be continuing his cousins legacy here on ECW. They are then interrupted by Joel Gertner, who reports to Heyman that Vince McMahon is here. Heyman smiles and says it's about time. He says that the Main Event is up next, so McMahon can see what ECW is made of, and then we shall give him a warm welcome. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break.
ECW & WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam fought Chris Benoit to a No Contest.
This was an amazing match between two ECW originals. Before the match, the two shook hands and then took part in a spectacular bout. It was very evenly matches, and there were a lot of close falls. Later on in the match, Van Dam pulled in a table and was ready to hit the Five-Star Frog Splash on Benoit, but it seems other plans had been made...
A black man pulls the legs of RVD, dropping him onto his groin. He enters the ring and throws RVD off the top rope and through Chris Benoit and the table. The crowd are in awe as this man destroyed the Main Event. The theme of Mr. McMahon hits and he struts out with a smirk on his face, alongside Jonathan Coachman. He enters the ring and shakes hands with the unknown superstar before beginning to speak. He says that while he may have been forced to revive ECW, and give Paul Heyman the control, he still owns the whole business, and therefore, he's bringing in a few superstars of his own. He mentions how not long ago, Test made a return, destroying The Sandman... that was his doing. He then says how this 'fine athlete' destroyed RVD and Chris Benoit... again, his doing. He then says "You didn't think you'd get away with this did you, Paul?". Heyman walks out to a huge pop, shouting at Vince for sticking his nose in. He says that if McMahon is that far up his own a$$ that he can't accept the success ECW will have, then that's fine. Heyman says if he's going to bring in his own superstars, then all the better, because the ECW Extremists need some more competition! McMahon smiles and says that Heyman will regret that he ever brought back ECW, because when he's finished with it, it will be DEAD for the second time. McMahon's theme hits as he raises the hands of the black man. We then fade to a close.
