BTW, I HATE, HATE, HATE the way the Mattel kneepads are made. I had to redo my paintjob putting those suckers on a few times. They are unforgiving. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy! I'm happy to finally put something up, even if it's not as detailed. Oh!! I forgot to say, I've been toying around with molding heads. This is a molded copy of the Jakks FM head. I primed it a few times to take a little of the details away so it would look more like a Mattel head. I have also been toying around with my own custom skintone(for Mattel customs). I've done this because I want to minimize the difference between my customs and other Mattels in my collection(as far as skintones go). I still do multi-colored tones for my Jakks collection though. Tell me what you guys think?

Looks very nice Jay. If you get annoyed putting the Kneepads on and off buy Ralph's, they are really nice

looks pretty good, but why would you want to decrease the headsculpt detail? mattel heads do lack sculpt depth and detail compared to jakks heads i agree, but surely this is something which should be improved upon? not complied with...

I think what you did to the head was a good move, you said you were looking for more unity between your customs and collection. Painting looks great too dude. U ever finish that Cole head?

I'm really digging this custom. When I first read your title and clicked, I thought, "oh boy, an R3 head on a mattel body big deal" but when I saw what you created, I was pleasantly surprised. I like the fact that you casted the head. I really wish I could get into doing that. Job well done!
