Edge/Christian would be a horrid main event. Also, Kane's near 6-month dominant reign as World Champion is to be ignored as he's completely left off the card? Whilst guys like Mark Henry and Kaval are there? That's a bad move. Swagger/Mysterio doesn't sound too appealing either considering that feud pretty much ran it's course in 2010. Miz as WWE Champion, or anywhere near the main event, is also poor.
I don't think the card is too great, or well thought through at all. However, I hope it gets better from here.

I honestly loved the backstory and Wrestlemania. Only thing that I didn't enjoy too much was Morrison being thrown into the Bryan/Punk match. He could've easily taken Henry's place in MITB. Can't wait to read more.

Can't wait to read more. Fair point about Morrison. The thought behind that was with Kofi definitely winning the Money in the Bank briefcase, I figured I'd get Morrison in a match where he wouldn't just be one of nine others, and in a match where he could display his talents with two other amazing talents.

I really like this man. The backstory seemed pretty cool, although I can't really say I know whats going on in the current day WWE (I don't have cable). Love the Morrison push, hope he doesn't just flounder in the midcard though.

I don't see why Undertaker/Kane wasn't saved for WrestleMania.

I think Chaz is being a bit harsh with his opinions on Edge vs Christian and Miz as champion but they are his opinions and to each their own.
Edge and Christian have far better chemistry than Edge and Jericho so I'd imagine the match would be better than their "decent" encounter at mania 26. Miz is by far one is the main attractions of Monday Night Raw and if you really don't see him holding one of the big belts sometime soon then I'd say you're in denial.
That being said, not a fan of Triple H going over Sheamus two years in a row, and I would of had Del Rio win MITB instead of Kofi Kingston. Taker/Barrett is awesome but Mysterio/Swagger seems like a bit of a let down. Punk being in the US title match is a bit of a downer but being in a match with Danielson and Morrison is great.

Backstory: Survivor Series, Bryan retaining is cool, DiBiase needs some gold soon rather than later however. Ziggler walking away sets up a rematch which is nice. Mysterio's team defeating Del Rio looks good, I can see them facing in a singles match at TLC most likely with a stipulation. John Morrison over Sheamus is good news as it adds to the feud which could most likely end at Tables, Ladders and Chairs. Nexus going over makes them stronger and Santino and Kozlov are too much a joke to be tag team champions. Natalya winning the Divas Championship is perfect after he chasing the title for so long. Glad Edge won the title although it could've been dragged out until TLC. Maybe one month away was too short a period for the Undertaker to be gone unless you aren't returning him yet. Barrett prevailing to win the championship was expected and a good move. Kaval once again winning but not taking hold of the title was expected here. Mysterio going over in the 2/3 Falls Match was neccassary to end the feud. Natalya retaining makes sense. Sheamus getting his ownback on Morrison was the right way to go in what seems like a good match with the Table stipulation. Edge retain is awesome with the GONG going once again, a Rumble return looks to be the case. Cena vs. Gabriel in a Ladder match is huge for Justin and maybe a little unrealistic but that's fine, glad Cena became free. Daniel Bryan ending William Regal's career is awesome and a good angle however I doubt many people would care, maybe it should've been on earlier though. Anyway Barrett retaining was the obvious decision but honestly it should've been a TLC Match. Good PPV there. Kaval finally winning the title is great at the Rumble, a nice feud which also stretched Ziggler's title reign to 6 months. Natalya defeating Michelle, not much to comment on there. Edge retaining against Del Rio is great, Del Rio getting a title match is awesome too. Cena beating Barrett to win the WWE Title is great, Barrett should face Undertaker at Mania Christian rumble win was a pleasent surprise. Kaval vs. McIntyre is a great matchup for the Intercontinental Championship, glad kaval retained. Ziggler in the chamber is great. The chamber set's up well for some matches going into Mania. Punk over Bourne is great, I'm guessing this goes back to Punk attacking Bourne when he returned to RAW, good job with that. Christian vs. Edge was the obvious choice for Mania. The Undertaker beating Kane in the Inferno Match is awesome, glad Nexus is still around and that basically cements Taker vs. Barrett. Morrison as one of the last two is amazing, Cena retain was good however. Not happy with the champions coming out ontop in both chambers however, Miz cashing in Money in the Bank changes things. Onto WrestleMania now, Kofi's Money in the Bank win is good but you didn't really build him, I would've chosen Ziggler. Mysterio over Swagger is good and glad they weren't both just thrown in Money in the Bank. Punk and Morrison are above the US Title, as you had said and Bryan retain makes sense, expecting him to drop it soon though. Phoenix vs. Natalya would actually be a watchable match for Mania. Randy Orton punting Jericho again is bleh but glad Orton went over. The Miz retaining is great, doubting his reign will last too long though. The Undertaker going 19-0 is awesome, expecting one more Mania until his retirement. Huge first WrestleMania for Wade Barrett. Triple H defeating Sheamus is great to end that year-long rivalry, finally and No Disqualifications would be awesome at Mania. Finally great Main event, I can't really see a better one looking at the card. Edge retaining was best. Good start to the diary looking forward too seeing where you go from here.

I might come across that. I try not to be. I just don't think Christian is anywhere near being classed as a credible main eventer, let alone Royal Rumble winner or WrestleMania headliner. It's ludicrous in my mind. Same for Miz. He's up there, definitely, but not quite all the way there. He shouldn't be in the main event of WrestleMania just yet, in my opinion.

This looks fine so far. Not everything was great but not everything was horrible. Cena losing to Miz was a big downer for his career. He doesn't have much to lose but this hurt him, IMO. Can't judge too much yet though and look forward to the build for this.

Monday April 4th, 2011 - Atlanta, GA. - Game Over? PREVIOUSLY: Monday Night RAW begins with a highlights package of Wrestlemania XXVII, focusing on the RAW side of things, with Triple H beating Sheamus to end thier feud, The Undertaker beating Nexus leader Wade Barrett to go 19-0, and The Miz managing to retain the WWE Championship against John Cena. After the opening video, fireworks display, and commentary introduction, the WWE Champion The Miz's theme plays, 'I Came To Play' being met by a shower of boo's from the Atlanta crowd. The Miz makes his way down to the ring with Alex Riley, and begins to speak, saying nobody expected The Miz to walk out of the Georgia Dome still in possession of the WWE Championship. He says that none of the WWE universe should've doubted that the 'Awesome One' could do it, but he beat the poster boy, he beat the little children's idol, he beat John Cena, and proved he is more awesome than the apparent face of the WWE. At this point, Cena interrupts, running down to the ring. He says Miz is a cheat, and Miz is just the paper champion, and when he next gets a chance to wrestle him for the WWE Champion, he's going to tear him in two. The Miz says that it's unfortunate that Cena isn't going to get another chance to face him then, as he would've loved to prove him wrong, and beat him for a third time. At this point, RAW's Anonymous General Manager sends an email, and Michael Cole reads it out, saying that the Anonymous General Manager has decided that due to the manner in which Miz won last night, he will give John Cena a chance to earn a final match with him at Extreme Rules, if Cena can overcome Miz's apprentice, Alex Riley, later tonight! The crowd cheers, and Cena smiles, as the first part of RAW ends. COMMERCIAL BREAKBackstage, a black limosuine pulls up, and the Nexus climbs out of it, all seven men together led by Barrett. Barrett says last night was just a setback, and its time Nexus found its new target tonight. David Otunga says he has an idea of who the new target is, but the camera cuts away before we can find out who he suggests. DANIEL BRYAN DEF. JOHN MORRISON & CM PUNK TO RETAIN THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: An incredible way to open up this edition of Monday Night RAW, with a rematch from Wrestlemania with these three phenomenal talents battling once more. The battle wasn't as long as thier match the previous night, only going around 10 minutes as opposed to the 17 last night, but the outcome was the same, with Daniel Bryan coming out ontop after this time making CM Punk tap out the lethal LeBell Lock.As Daniel Bryan is celebrating the hard fought victory, he is ambushed from behind by Tyson Kidd. Kidd beats him down, laying into with lefts and rights, before picking him up and hitting him with a Corkscrew Neckbreaker, laying him out. He then grabs the United States Championship, looks at it, and raises it up, as the second commercial break of the night begins. COMMERCIAL BREAKA graphic comes on screen, showing the main event of the evening, as the WWE Champion The Miz teams up with 'The Celtic Warrior' Sheamus to battle 'The Game' Triple H and 'The Viper' Randy Orton in a huge tag team match! Following this, the next match of the night begins. HEATH SLATER, HUSKY HARRIS, JUSTIN GABRIEL, AND MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY [N] DEF. EVAN BOURNE, EZEKIEL JACKSON, MARK HENRY, AND R-TRUTH:A solid match up here as all of the particpants in the Money in the Bank from RAW ladder match last night came together to try and defeat the Nexus, but it was to no avail, as the cohesive unit, led out by David Otunga who was watching at ringside, managed to take down this team of veterans and future champions alike, as the WWE Tag Team Champions Gabriel and Slater worked together to take the win, with Slater nailing Sweetness on Bourne, followed by Gabriel's 450 Splash to give the Nexus the victory here tonight. After the match, it looked like the Nexus was again looking like they were going to target some members of the RAW Roster, but instead, several RAW Superstars ran down to ringside, outnumbering The Nexus by a significant margin, and scaring away the Yellow and Black clad pack of Wolves. A commercial break followed this, with the commentators hyping John Cena facing Alex Riley after the break! COMMERCIAL BREAKJOHN CENA DEF. ALEX RILEY TO BECOME #1 CONTENDER TO THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: A very one sided encounter here between 'A-Ri' and John Cena, who looked full of anger at the way last night's WWE Championship match panned out. Unfortunately for Riley, he just couldn't stand up to Cena, despite the great attempts he made, the experience, and strength, advantages Cena holds over Riley proving to be a key factor in his victory. After nailing all of his signature moves, the shoulder block, spin out powerbomb and Five Knuckle Shuffle, Cena hit Riley with the AA, and followed it up with the STF to take the win and become new #1 contender. Following the match, Cena celebrated the win, and warned Miz that he was coming for the Championship, rubbing his waist signifying he wants the WWE Championship back. The camera then cut backstage, where the Nexus' leader Wade Barrett was berating the rest of the team, with David Otunga taking the majority of the flack. He says that they didn't need to try and take down those superstars tonight, and warns them that they needed to focus on the new target. They all nod thier heads in agreement, and apologise to Barrett as another commercial begins. COMMERCIAL BREAKSANTINO MARELLA & VLADIMIR KOZLOV (W/ TAMINA) DEF. THE USO'S:These two rival teams have been battling back and forth in a fierce rivalry since around February, specifically the February 14th edition of RAW, when Tamina finally ditched The Uso brothers in favour of Santino Marella. The Uso's feel thier pride has been hurt, but it will be hurting even more after tonight, as it was Jey who fell to the dreaded Cobra, the most dangerous move in Santino's arsenal, to give the international tandem of Kozlov and Marella the win.Santino celebrated the big win as if he and Kozlov had just won the Tag Team Championships, the Uso's frustrated by the loss banging thier hands in the ring. The Camera then cut backstage, where Josh Matthews is interviewing Triple H and Randy Orton. He asks them whether they can co-exist considering thier history, to which both reply that while they aren't the best of buddies, they know that business needs to get done in the ring, and tonight, they will be coming out on top, and proving why it should be them challenging The Miz at Extreme Rules, and not John Cena. The two then stare each other down as a commercial break comes in once more. COMMERCIAL BREAKBETH PHOENIX DEF. MELINA (NON-TITLE): A good enough non title encounter here between two of the more talented Divas on the roster, with the former champion Natalya on commentary, putting over her friend Beth's performance last night at Wrestlemania. The two divas battled back and forth until Beth put away Melina with the Glam Slam, gifting her a first win as Divas Champion.Following the match, Natalya stood up from the announce table, and applauded, before grabbing a microphone from where Justin Roberts was sat. She says last night, she and Beth put on a great match that all the Divas in the WWE Universe could be proud of, but the only bad part, at least for her, was that she didn't walk out as Divas Champion. She says that she will be cashing in her rematch clause at Extreme Rules, and the match will be a submission match! She smiles, motioning for the title, as Beth stares at the Divas Championship, a break coming in. COMMERCIAL BREAKRANDY ORTON & TRIPLE H DEF. SHEAMUS & THE MIZ (DQ):This huge tag team main event was shaping up to be fantastic, with both teams battling back and forth for around 12 minutes of air time, not including the time elapsed during the commercial break. As the match came to its close, it looked as if the shaky alliance of Orton and Triple H was closing in on the win, but at this point, The Miz drilled Orton with a shot to the head with the WWE Championship, ending the match via disqualification. Sheamus and WWE Champion The Miz continued the beatdown after the bell, with the two targeting Triple H, who was unable to beat the odds. Triple H looked to be in trouble, but then John Cena stormed the ring, and took out his opponent at Extreme Rules The Miz, as Randy Orton also recovered, and took it to Sheamus, with the four men brawling to the back. However, Triple H's night was not over, as after the other four had gone out of sight, 'We Are One' hit the speakers, and The Nexus, led by Wade Barrett, stormed the ring. Triple H slid his hand between the ringskirt and the ring canvas, and pulled up his trusty sledgehammer, but tonight, that wasn't enough, as the Nexus attacked him, breaking him apart like a flock of Vultures on a corpse. Barrett hit the Wasteland, then they all picked him up again as Husky Harris nailed a huge shoulder tackle on him, before Gabriel finished the job with the 450 Splash. The Nexus then stood around the body of Triple H, who was motionless in the center of the ring, as RAW ends. WWE2011

- To start, loving this so far, Shifty. - Miz opening RAW after WrestleMania is awesome. (Pun intended.) - Really wanna see where Cena goes with this. - The Nexus, hmm.. - I would love to see this match in real-life but.. would've rather of had Punk go over, but without the title in the scene. Good choice to let Danielson retain, hope he loses it soon though. - Tyson Kidd push? I like it, I like it. - Great main-event tonight. - So I take it The Nexus are still an unstoppable force? Glad to see them go over. - Obvious finish here, but glad to see Cena going back up to the WWE title. - I hate this team of Kozlov and Santino but.. good winners. - Ready to see Beth Phoenix dominate this again, especially with the Divas title. - Good finish, expected Miz to do something cheap but I love The Miz so that's great. Nexus invasion again! Taking out HHH now? Uh-oh. - Overall, amazing show expect to see more.
