In a new interview conducted for the SunSport WrestleCast, Mick Foley had the following to say concerning TNA's recent idea to turn him heel:
"This is breaking news, and maybe I'll get in trouble for this, but TNA had discussed me doing a big heel turn. But with this anti-bullying campaign we're doing and coming off an award for reasonableness I was given by Jon Stewart, it just didn't seem right. To be hitting people with my reasonableness award on TV would be funny, I could have done a couple of weeks of good television. But in the bigger picture — and I think TNA has got to start looking at the bigger picture more often — I could be a lot more effective as somebody who goes out there and talks about serious issues."

Phew luckily he denied it. He used to turn heel/face every week when he was the shareholder or whatever.
If only they'd suggest he retire...

First RVD and now Foley.....sheesh. Unlike with RVD, though, I'm glad Foley turned it down. With everything he does outside of wrestling, especially his charity work, and the current campaign to help end bullying, he shouldn't be a heel. Foley can be the voice of a lot of people in and out of wrestling, why would TNA want him to be heel?

good...he should be one of the key people against 'them', claiming he was always held down.

Turn him towards the door and give him a gentle nudge. It's time to go, Mick, go an meet Ric and Hulk, the coach should be here any minute to take you back to the home.

Mick Foley needs a proper WrestleMania send-off, might never happen anymore but I think it would be really good.
