Okay, so has there ever been something that just bothers you so much but you don't know why? I mean, something so far from what is on your list of problems but sometimes you just constantly think about it? Okay, a couple of years ago I was watching America's Most Wanted and I saw this case on this dude named Yaser Said.
Yaser is wanted for murdering his 17 and 18 year old daughters, Amina and Sarah, in the back of his cab (in Lewisville, Texas) and fleeing the states...hell, maybe even the country on New Years Day in 2008.
At first, seeing all these cases on the show I didn't think anything of it...whatever crap happens. Then I see that case again a few weeks later, still whatever. But one Saturday last year I sat back and watched that again and it touched me. It really did. Here I am looking stuff up on the internet and searching by other means and it just tore me apart. I hear about that type of stuff often and...for some reason this case just bothers me.
Turns out that cases like this are common place in the US. An honor killing so to speak (A murder by a male family member upon a female family member most notably due to the fact that the patriarch feels as if his honor has been disgraced). Yaser killed his two daughters because he found out they were dating. (Yeah, that's pretty stupid). I just feel for those 2 for some reason, more so than any other victims. These types of "honor killings" are a ing joke if you ask me, but legal in some countries.
Maybe I shouldn't have listened to that 911 call
The thing with this case is, I have no idea who these girls were. At least I don't think, and sometimes I find myself haunted by this murder...what the hell is wrong with me?
Anywho, what exactly are your thoughts on these types of problems that some Islamic teens go through?
