TNA wrestler Mick Foley says he does not plan to renew his TNA contract when it comes due in "eight or nine months." In an interview on GeekWeek.com yesterday, Foley also expressed frustration with the structure of TNA leading to poor communication. Foley cited TNA not airing footage of his recent appearance at Jon Stewart's Comedy Central rally. "I've been beating myself up and it's frustrating because I can't seem to get the decision makers in TNA to realize that it is a big deal to show me in front of 250,000 fans at the Jon Stewart rally and to show the reaction of the crowd," Foley said. Foley compared the TNA structure to WCW where he's not sure who to talk to when looking for answers. Former TNA wrestler Homicide expressed similar frustrations when he was with the company prior to his release. "With WWE, we knew that's who you talk to, and so it's very frustrating. I will eventually throw up my hands and just say, 'Okay, I'll walk to the mailbox every two weeks.' I'll do that or I'll go on the show and do something I don't believe in," he said. Foley suggested his in-ring wrestling days are limited. His two reasons were because of the physical toll on his body and because it's "not worth a tenth of a ratings point." His second comment came across like a dig at TNA's booking for not effectively hyping his matches when they rarely occur. On his recent U.K. book tour, Foley said in interviews that he would like to see more wrestling on TNA Impact. He singled that out as his main complaint about TNA's TV product in the GeekWeek interview. source(s): PwTorch Well, good for him

Oh well, honestly, what does Foley bring to the table? Nothing, nothing at all and that's from a Foley fan. He's already been the champion, ran the company on TV, and wrestled on the side... what left is there for him?
I see him sticking around though, it comes off like the usual wrestler interview when his contract is up with the "I don't care, I'll leave" attitude.

I'm guessing this is Foley trying to go back to the WWE once his contract expires, as a thank you to vince plugging his book on TV.
not sure what he would do there, but i am guessing HOF might be in the cards

I hope he re-signs so we don't have to see him on WWE programming.

Foley left WWE because of how Vince McMahon ran things
and now, he's frustrated with TNA, because he doesn't like how they run things...
I enjoy Mick Foley, but I mean...C'mon. Maybe he should stick to writing books or something? His wrestling days are behind him.

It wouldn't really matter if they lost him or not. But I think its all just apart of the plan. He'll prolly end up with TNA regardless. I'm sure Dixie will give him some ridiculous amount to stay.

I highly doubt he is making that tenth of a point in the rating. I just feel like SG. A lot of wrestlers play that card and end up re-signing.

Well I am not a huge Foley fan but I appreciated some of his work because during the attitude era, he was a big hand in making it so widely popular. He brought out the best in a lot of wrestlers including HBK. But when he had a cozy job as a broadcast announcer he was unhappy. And didnt like how things were being run in WWE so he goes to TNA and gets battered and beat up again only to give more of himself to a company that doesnt care anymore. If you ask me he asked for this punishment.

I know it won't happen because Foley wasn't happy with it, but I want Foley back on the commentary in the WWE.

Hmm.. real shame IMO. Not because he's fantastic in TNA, but IMO he's one of the few 'older' guys who I actually enjoy watching and therefore I want him on my TV in some form or another. I guess if this opens up an avenue with the WWE (simply an on screen role) then I'll be happy.

Foley is a great man and wrestler. I watched some of his matches but he has done everything that really you should do in your career of wrestling. Old dogs cant learn new tricks.

I never pick on you for being a TNA "mark" like everyone else seems to do around here, but come on, man. This is a professional who knows what kind of situation he's in and he's dealt with this business for 20 years. I think maybe you should trust that TNA is probably ing him around.

I'm entitled to feel the way I want to feel on the situation, never once did I say TNA wasn't all the things he said, so you can drop that. I just simply that there is nothing left for him to do in the company and it comes off almost like a case of "I don't care, I"ll leave" which gets him more money. It's like Kevin Nash a few months back long before his deal was up he came across with the attitude of "I don't care, I'll leave".

Mick Foley always seemed to me a guy who would find stuff to do outside of wrestling. He's a pretty down to earth dude and I don't want him becoming the next Ric Flair.
