I love this topic lol! We need one every few months. I collected hasbros. Had the full set. Started with JAKKS and thought they looked like garbage so I quit real early. But always stayed updated via RSC. Loved the mattel protos and thought for a while about it. I knew that if I started I wouldn't be able to stop. So around the 3rd week of Jan, I went to TRU and made my first Mattel purchase:
Basic 1 TRU Box. All of Elite 1 All of 2 pack 1 JAKKS Raw RSR
Expensive day! Wish I could go to TRU every 2 months and see complete sets of basic, elite and 2 pack. That will never happen again!

My first Mattel figure(s) were:
Elite 1 Undertaker Elite 1 Rey Mysterio Elite 1 Edge Elite 1 CM Punk Elite 1 MVP Basic 1 Triple H Basic 1 John Cena
I bought them all at the same time. I went a little crazy on January 1st when I got there and finally saw the new WWE Mattel line for the first time....I just started grabbing them and basically bought everything I could physically carry to the register. lol

Wow...my first Mattel, was a huge haul:
Elite 1 MVP Elite 1 Edge Elite 1 Undertaker Elite 1 CM Punk Basic 1 Batista Basic 1 Evan Bourne Basic 1 Triple H Basic 1 Big Show Basic 0 John Cena 2pks 1 Beth Phoenix/Santino Marella 2pks 1 Ted DiBiase/Cody Rhodes 2pks 1 Shawn Michaels/Chris Jericho
All on January 4, this year.
And within a week, I got Elite 1 Rey Mysterio and EG 1 Triple H. And not much longer after that, I got EG 1 Rey Mysterio. I had a great January with Mattel. In one month of Mattel, I got more figures from Mattel than I did from Jakks in the last 2 1/2 years of them having the license.

Flex Force Big Show and Evan Bourne. Distribution in New Zealand with Jakks was extremely poor and I didn't really have much faith in Mattel at the time so when I saw those figures I quickly bought them to see what they were like. I wasn't too keen on them but as any of you would know, they can't really be put back in their packaging and returned so I eventually sold them. Eventually saw Elite 2 Orton and Triple H in store so I quickly picked those up and have liked them ever since.
