what's funny is there was a point where i stopped for a bit there, from about 1988 - 1990 ,where i considered myself "too old" for toys ( was 14 in 1988)....WWE brought me back...i kinda dabbled a bit in TMNT stuff in 1990,when the movie hit big....then one early June day i walked into K-B Toy Works here in town, and lo and behold, most of the 1st series of Hasbro WWf figures were on the pegs - i didn't even know they were making them!! and i was immediately hooked ( even got my friend Corey into them, we'd have our own weekly cards, matches, and PPV's every couple months with the figures....then he got "too old" for them! )....and,really,i've been collecting stuff since then....

Nah man, no such thing. I'm 22 and proud to say I play with my figures. I write storylines and all that jazz. Yes, in the past I've been given the stink eye from onlookers, but it doesn't matter cause it makes me happy. If you're not breaking any laws, hurting anyone, and it brings you joy, it doesn't matter what nitwits have to say. (Gets off soapbox now).

I am 32 and I have zero intention of stopping. I have my kids and my nephews into it and we have a blast looking for the figures and I enjoy watching them play with them. I have a colection that dates back to AWA Remco days and goes through now and includes Japanese and Arena Mexico figures. As for what an employee, parent, friend, signifigant other might say....well......Rock? "The Rock says IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THEY THINK!". Couldn't have said it better myself.

If you're not breaking any laws, hurting anyone, and it brings you joy, it doesn't matter what nitwits have to say. (Gets off soapbox now). You're stumbling into the general argument of the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness there... And I like it! My history professor at my last college defined a "right" as God given and unless it intrudes on the rights of another, there is nothing wrong with it. I'm 24 and I've been collecting one thing or another my whole life... Got out of it briefly as I entered high school, but the Lord of the Rings figures got me back into it. Then, I got back to WWE. I write detailed storylines and everything. I love it. I'm on my way to becoming a teacher, I have 2 jobs, a serious girlfriend(almost 4 years), been doing student-teaching in a 2nd grade class... I have my priorities in order, so I see nothing wrong with it. I have been getting some grief from my mom and girlfriend at times. But, my dad sticks behind me, kids around and stuff, but fully supports it as he readily admits that I'm incredibly responsible.

I'll stop collecting when I am dead. Whether that be tomorrow or in 70 years.

How many of these "Am I too old to collect posts?" are we going to have? I honestly cannot understand the thinking of those who actually care what other people think.

Well of course people here are going to tell you you're never too old.
But if it's not interfering with your life then who cares. People think I'm too old for wrestling itself and I watch it.

There is no such thing as too old to collect. If you're responsible then there is no problem. But if you're struggling to pay your bills, then I think its time to hang it up lol.

Next time the lady asks you if you're a little to old to buy them or anything like that ask for a manager, she has no right to make comments about what you're buying.

Does anyone question the guys buying little Nascar collectables or hotwheels? The answer is usually no, because it's seen as a sports "hobby". Same with NFL figs, or football or baseball cards. You have the right to spend your hard earned funds on whatever makes you happy.
Just ask my wife. I'm 37 and wrestling figs and comic books have always been my deal. If you have the extra money to spend on stuff, it's no one's business but yours.

i'm 28, been a collector my whole life. i thought about stopping a few times, but it's just who i am. i talked about selling my collection a couple times and my family (father, wife, sisters) all tried talking me OUT of doing it. like i said, it's just who i am, and i'm okay with it. i dream of figures (usually ones that don't even exist) - that's gotta say something.

I'm 13, this is really the last year people find it normal for me to buy 'Toys'. I have recently stopped getting figures, but I will still get the occasional figure every once in a while, and hopefully I'll still like wrestling in the coming years, instead of being one of those wayward teenagers who start smoking and drinking at the age of 15. Just my 2 Cents.

This isn't a am I too old to collect post. This is a I'm being open and talking to people who have something in common with me post. And I never said I care what people think once again I'll explain that if I did I would have stopped a long time ago also I think you should try to be a little more open minded.
