While it won't be officially announced until December 15th, it is being reported that the person of the year will be...
Julian Assange.

Ben Bernanke, Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin, George W. Bush (thrice), George H.W. Bush, Rudy Giuliani, Bill Clinton (thrice), Newt Gingrich, and Bill Clinton were all "Man of the Year" in the past.
I'm not sure Julian Assange would be too excited about being listed with these people.

Of course me being the dumb kid that I was who watched a lot of news, I picked Rudy Giuliani. I really wish I could go back in time and redo that.

Of course me being the dumb kid that I was who watched a lot of news, I picked Rudy Giuliani. I really wish I could go back in time and redo that. We were all pretty blinded at that point in time. We had this (what we perceived to be) legitimate FEAR that our country was being attacked and was going to be again... But Giuliani and Bush stepped in to play hero -- it worked for awhile until we found out how unbelievably corrupt the entire thing was.

And yet Osama didn't make Man of the Year in 2001. Travesty IMO.

And yet Osama didn't make Man of the Year in 2001. Travesty IMO. He just didn't have the time to really get the ball rolling on his campaign. He should've made the attack back in like February. Much more time for the public to get acquainted with him before the big vote.

And yet Osama didn't make Man of the Year in 2001. Travesty IMO. Well other awful people have won it as well. Stalin (twice), Hitler, Truman (twice), Pope John Paul II, Khomeini and Putin.

How many people got HIV/AIDS from his reckless decrees that condoms are bad/evil? The decree didn't start with him. He could have stopped it though. The current Pope is evil as well, but he at least has some sense now to tell people condoms are ok to prevent HIV/AIDS.

The decree didn't start with him. That hardly makes him innocent... Not saying he's not guilty. Just saying he doesn't qualify as being as evil as guys like Hitler or Stalin that's all.
