I dont know if there has been a thread about this before or anything but has anybody ever experienced their figures leaking oil recently??? a while ago id open up the figures and id see a little greese or oil or whatever it is coming out of the shoulder joints but now almost every elite figure i get leaks really badly, not just a few drops but it like pours liquid! i dont understand this, has it happened to anybody else??? i wonder what it tastes like...

Maybe Mattel went that extra mile and added sweat ducts to the figure?
Seriously... yeah I've noticed it. Don't plan to taste it though.

I haven't heard of this before with Mattel figures but I have heard of it with G.I. Joes near the end of the 25th/Modern line and some Sportspicks a few years ago. I really wouldn't taste it or touch your eyes or nose if you have any on your fingers.

I thought Mattel did this to prevent the joints from being too tight, but meh who knows?

I have only experienced it with guys who use baby oil In real life. Like orton, dibiase n Rhodes. It must be there to make it even more realistic.

i know what you are talking about. I have noticed it on a lot of my basics. For those who haven't hold your figure under a light and look for some shine when you bend the knees or move the shoulder joint and you will see it. I think it's just something Mattel tries to do so when you get their figures they aren't super stiff even though they still are.

sounds like mold release that they use in the factory to get the pieces out of their molds. Sports Picks were notorious for having lots of that on them.
