ZeniMax is making Elder Scrolls Online. Bethesda isn't. Bethesda is working on Fallout 4, just about the worst kept industry secret. I would also wouldn't be surprised if they are at least in the earliest stages of ESVI.

Got it. I just got done reading a lot of posts about the subscription model for ESO and I'm happy to see that a large majority say they will not buy it now. With any luck their asses will either drop the subscription or at least lower the price to $5 a month. That would be a good compromise imo and if they did it I would buy the game the first day like I was planning on doing... EDIT: Almost forgot: PAGE 50!

It will go free to play within a year. Console gamers are not going to put up with the subscription. They are already getting major backlash from it and I wouldn't be surprised to see the fee either lowered or some hefty discounts for buying multiple months. I highly doubt they abandon the fee altogether. They have to make some money on this game as it's been in development for around five years.

Yeah they should discount the price if someone pays for 12 months in advance.
Making it $75 would work out well for everyone imo since that makes it $6.25 a month. While that is higher than the ideal $5 a month it isn't too much higher and it is better than $15..
I would think the more months you buy in advance would get one a bigger discount. 75/180 is 41.6% of the original price so 12 months would be the most economical.
Idk I just think they should give a discount. My numbers are probably way to low and it would be like $100 for a year in advance *$8.30 a month* but even that still beats $15/month..

I agree I want to visit the places I've yet to be which is a lot since I've only really played Skyrim and Oblivion.

So I was watching some ESO footage and I saw that the player was able to shoot his bow like it was a machine gun. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was watching a generic MMO rather than an actual ES game.

I'm thinking more and more that I'll just wait for the next single-player TES game. Skyrim and Oblivion (among others) have plenty of content to keep me busy, game-wise.

I am leaning the same way. I think with Dark Souls II coming out next March as well as next-gen games coming in the spring that I won't find it too difficult to miss it. I think if I do that then I will just skip it as well when it goes to free to play as then the game will most likely just be filled with high level characters and any constant updates will be abandoned since their won't be cash flowing in from subs.

That does sounds pretty stupid.. As far as ES goes I really really need to get back to playing it. I just have so little time now that my classes are back in session..

I don't have the link, but I found it on youtube. Although one thing I do like about the game is it's set 1000 years before the events of Skyrim so it will be neat to see how Skyrim differs in the game because of the time period. I can't remember off of the top my head the exact time, but Solitude wasn't the original capital of Skyrim.

Shame that this will be the first Elder Scrolls game that I most likely won't play unless it turns out to be a must have. I feel like I would feel obligated to play the game knowing that I am paying money each month for it. Luckily a lot of good looking games are coming out so missing out on it won't be too bad. I know The Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 2 will be brilliant.

Judging by the impressions from people in the ESO beta over at NeoGAF, it's really really bad. Combat is apparently very poor, hit detection is awful, exploration is lost with hundreds of people walking around and linear area's, quests are poor. Elder Scrolls has always had rather shallow and poor combat, but the combat is more important in an MMO. That's a shame, but then again, no one ever asked for an MMO in the ES universe.
For a game that is going to be shipping within the next 4-6 months, it's not sounding very good.

Now how about they focus on Elder Scrolls VI: Valenwood and or Elsweyr!

If it went to Elsweyr or Valenwood then I have to image they would both be in the game since they border each other and anytime they are mentioned it always said how they border each other.
However, I don't see them going that route. It's going to be the Summerset Isles. They built up the Altmer in Skyrim and I think it was a hint that we be will be going to their homeland. In addition, I think now that Bethesda has achieved mainstream success with Skyrim, they want to keep it, and I don't see a game focusing on Khajiit/Bosmer being popular. I am faily certain it will be a game based around the politics and relations between the Altmer and Empire.
Either way, it's going to be a long wait until late 2016 at the earliest. Fallout 4 in either late 2014/2015 and ES IV in late 2016.

I would be happy with that I guess.
But Elder Scrolls: VII should be Valenwood and Elsweyr.
