My friend tried the Beta version of ESO and he said he really liked it.
I'd rather have an ES game take place in all of Tamriel rather than just one region.

I don't really think I would like them doing a traditional ES game in that way. One of the biggest reasons to get excited over a new ES games is knowing you will be exploring a new region that you haven't seen before. Plus, with the games taking 4 or so years as is, I would imagine a game of that scope and size would take at least double that. Unless of course you'd be alright with a lot of reused resources and assets.

I wouldn't mind revisiting old places along with a bunch of new ones. I think with current technology they could get it done in a reasonable amount of time. If it really can't be done then hopefully ESO will be successful.

My friend got the beta instead of me. But she found a couple of painfully bad glitches already so yay for Bethesda starting out on the wrong foot with this. XD
I have been cramming Skyrim something fierce lately having just been exploring everything trying to find words of power. I am preparing my warriors body for what should be a very sh*tty final battle. Haha.

Still. It seems like anything with their name on it even if they do not make it has issues with really stupid sh*t. Haha.

I really really need to get back into Skyrim. I've not played it in months.. Hopefully I can feel up to it during my winter break from classes.

I love just randomly walking around and finding really weird sh*t. I have found so many Giant camps and random ass windmill farms. Fun.

I just feel like having a game where you can go everywhere will really dampen the following game. Like I said, and many people feel this way, one of the biggest draws of ES games is exploration and the feeling of exploring a location you've only read about, but have yet to actually see.

I agree, it just takes so long for each game to come out. I want to see all the regions of Tamriel before I die, lol.

May have to go back to Skyrim during the long weekend. Haven't played since GTA V came out, and I'm starting to itch for a sword in my hand.

I would think your former save would be on there still if you saved it to your hard drive right? If not I guess you will have to start from scratch but that is sorta fun (I kinda want to do it soon).

Me too Valenwood (Bosmer live in migrating trees is the most interesting setting to me), Elsweyr, Black Marsh, and Hammerfell are the ones I want to see the most. Sadly, I don't think ESO is going to scratch that itch with it being an MMO.

havent posted on this in awhile, as i stepped away from Skyrim for a time. kind of needed to i guess. had other games to finish. needless to say i picked up right where i left off, with it being the most amazing game ever
but i think that my main storyline quest is glitched.
a LONG time back i was swimming in the upper sea, just for the hell of it, and i found Septimus Signus. then i went through with his quests. i guess i already got the elder scroll and now when i try to continue the main story quest "Elder Knowledge" one of the steps is to speak with Urag and read through some rare books which leads to Septimus, etc etc. but when i go up to him there's nothing new, and it won't move me on to the next step of the quest
the lexicons and the Attunement Sphere are all in my inventory and cannot be removed. i can't find the actual elder scroll anywhere, i dont think i sold it to anyone but it's possible, because i spent countless hours buying and selling shit
im at a total loss, i deleted all my old saves (not like it matters because im over 200 hours in and i did that Septimus thing around at least hour 130/140 so i would NEVER go back) and i think im just screwed.

^ That totally sucks. I hate glitches that prevent you from going further. I have a couple of them in my game. One won't let me do the Vaermina: Waking Nightmare quest for some odd reason and one won't let do anymore Fighter's Guild quests. I also can't buy a house in Falkreath since I don't know why I can't become jarl. There isn't anything I can do since it happened so long ago. I guess if I ever start over again I just have to be aware that it may happen again and really save before I do that stuff.

Just bought this again Thursday (finally) and it is such an awesome game.
I agree on the glitches though, I have a book (forgot the name) which I found before a quest and now I can't do anything with it. It's such a shame this games best thig about the free open world can mess it up so badly. I don't think my dragon call shout works either.
It does seem that you should have to play through all the story first before exploring but that's so limiting to an awesome game.

Hanging Gardens? thats a glitched book. there's some cave you can explore that's easy to find, and its in a chest with a bunch of other stuff. if you take everything before starting the quest for "Hanging Gardens" the book remains in your inventory and you can't give it up. the Falkreath thing is glitched too. i forget how, but i have a quest "speak to the jarl of falkreath" that will not activate. the guy just keeps saying the same stuff over and over any of you guys ever go here? www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Skyrimits what i used to get through a lot of the confusing things i found during the game, plus it lists many many many of the bugs/glitches. of course most of them have fixes if you're playing on PC.
