Frankly, it's just boring. It's a basic MMO with extremely simplistic quests, awful combat and mediocre visuals. I think people went into this expecting multiplayer Skyrim and instead they're going to get what feels like a game trying to be Skyrim and completely missing the mark. It'll be free to play in 6 months. Thanks for the response. That sucks. I'll probably wait 6 months like you said and if I still want to play it I'll check it out. Of course if the reviews when it comes out are much better than you are saying it will be then I may try it out sooner. What he says seems to be the majority say for the beta thus far. I know tons of MMO players and ES fans over at NeoGAF are saying the same thing. I am sure it will review at least decently if for nothing else because of the name it carries. But he is right, it will be F2P within 6 months.

I see the NDA was lifted on the ESO beta, so hopefully we will see a lot of impressions coming soon.

It's a legally binding agreement that you won't share details of concerned material to anybody. It's a safe guard against people in alpha/beta programs giving away details to everyone.

Jesus, every impression I have read except for a few have been over overwhelmingly negative towards the game. I am glad it comes out on PC first so I can read reviews/impressions of the game and then make the decision if I want to purchase it for the XB1 in June.

Back on the horse, after several months off. Decided to have Rajir start the Dawnguard quest, but took a little time to pick up a silver sword and enchant it. Still not as good as Dawnbreaker, so that was a waste of time, outside of finally leveling him up to 70. Looking at more rain this weekend, so there should be a lot of vampire-slaying in store for Skyrim's hero.

You just reminded me that I've been meaning to play some Skyrim lately as well. It's been too long since Serana and my Khajiit reminded the people of Solitude and Whiterun what fear is.
And it seems that ZeniMax has sent ESO to die on consoles. Launching an MMO with a paid subscription on consoles when all of those other titles are coming out is a terrible idea.

I also need to play this game again. It has been FAR too long since I've played. You just reminded me that I've been meaning to play some Skyrim lately as well. That sucks and now I'm likely never going to play it.. Whatever they need to just work on the Elder Scrolls VI...

Yes, it's $14.99 per month on XB1 and PS4. However, you don't need PS+ to play the game, but you do need XBL if you play it on XB1. Just wait until next year when they will most likely drop the fee since it won't do well on consoles anyway. No way many people are going to bother with it when they can just pick up Destiny, CoD, Halo, or AC this fall and play and not worry about a fee. I'd be very surprised if this game picked up a big following on the consoles with the selection of other titles that will be out at that time.

I've heard like nothing about the game on PC since it came out this year. How did it sell if you know that is?

I haven't heard anything regarding sales for the game. If the game did really well then I think they would have gloated about that. From what I've read over at NeoGAF and other forums, as well as reviews, the reception of the game seems lukewarm at best.

I agree about if it was selling a ton they would have bragged about it so I think it did pretty bad..

Rajir has recently defeated the vampire menace, Lord Harkon and parted ways with his daughter so that she could help out the Dawnguard full-time. During his recent adventures with Serana, Rajir's wife was kidnapped and she aided in Camilla's rescue. Before parting ways with Serana, Rajir gifted her with several pieces of enchanted gear, weapons, and accessories. Miraak also stole a few dragon souls from Rajir, so this looming menace will have to be dealt with before he gathers much more strength. Rajir will have to some more studying.

I actually started playing Skyrim again last week. I went through and finished up everything on my Khajiit that I didn't do in the Dragonborn DLC. I completely got lost in the world again and even after 400+ locations discovered and 250+ hours on this character, I was still finding new locations. I love that you can get lost in these games even after so long.

You should always have Serana with you. She is awesome, not to mention she is hilarious. I believe she is the only companion you can get that will interact with the environment, an example being she will cut wood, smith weapons, use alchemy tables, etc. I've got her outfitted in full stalhrim light armor with a stalhrim greatsword and J'zargo is in full daedric armor with ebony sword.

Nice. She is fun to watch when you're idle. It would be nice if that thought had been put into the game from the start with other followers. Rajir's set Serana up with a set of Ancient Falmer armor found during one of the Dawnguard quests. Looks pretty nice.
In last night's Pre-Raw sessions Rajir went out to Arcwind point to learn a new Word of Power, pick up some nice weapons and armor to sell, killed an Ancient Dragon for a bounty in Riften on his way to sell those items, and then went back to Fort Dawnguard to take care of some pending business (side quests), so Serana is coming along for the adventure.

It would have been nice. Plus, she literally cannot be killed. I am pretty sure other companions can be killed. I know I was just messed around and planning on not saving so I walked behind J'zargo and slit his throat...he died

So now I just read an interview with the head of the game from back in late May I believe. Anyway, he said he wouldn't even guarantee ESO would launch this year on consoles.
