I'm leaving to my Gamestop's Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Midnight Release line in a little more than 2 hours.
Everything is already paid for so I just hope it all goes smoothly!
This will be my first midnight release so if all goes well I will probably do more later on.

Midnight releases are usually pretty painless sans something like Call of Duty where there's multiple editions/ bundles etc. I had a horrid Modern Warfare 2 experience.
Anyway I cannot WAIT for this game. I really want to get it now, but I know I just don't have the time to commit to it yet. I think I may pick it up post X-mas and keep on the side for stuck at home sick/snow days. That's the perfect time to get immersed.

picked up my copy earlier today. I'm way too broke for this kinda purchase, but I felt my life was kinda lacking on the dragon slaying front and couldn't resist. Gonna start it in a bit. CAN NOT WAIT.

I'm a level 4 male Breton Spellsword. I thought I was a Battlemage this entire time but apparently the guide calls what I do a Spellsword so I will call myself that now.  Loving the game and playing it now [took a break to come on here for a little while]. |

Stopped for the night, on Level 7, with a level 37 archery skill. Bow & Arrow is pretty much the only weapon I've been using.

Amazed so far, slightly overwhelmed in fact. The world just seems SO open and so free that I'm often at a loss of what to do because there's so much haha. I'm a wood elf, finished today at level 5 having just got to that second town with the Companion dudes. Exploring that cave to find the golden claw has already become one of my most memorable gaming moments; Undead people emerging from the crypts were one thing, BUT THE MOTHER  ING SHELOB COMING OUT OF NOWHERE JESUS CHRIST. I SHAT MYSELF. This also taught me that I suck major ass with the crossbow, which isn't so great considering I'm a wood elf. |

God damn this bleak temple is neverending, up to lvl 4. Finding it first of all was trial and error strewn, ran into a troll camp I reckon, one hit and dead. Stole a horse and managed to get up there eventually. Just got got by an out of sight dragyr. Wish you could carry more, love just looting everything. Recommence tomorrow. I can tell this game is gonna take up a shitload of my gaming energy. Past two days, haven't touched Uncharted, MW3, haven't touched BF3 & Arkham in days, days.

I'm level 12 now and on the road to Riften. I've been running around everywhere really just because I can! I'm up to 5,000+ gold but spend it often with skill increases every time I can now that I know where some people are who can teach me [in skills I like]. Because of that my Conjuration skill is the highest at 37-38?. Destruction and One Handed are next at 32-33. I've beat the one dragon everyone gets plus 2 more. One was a random thing and it was awesome killing that bitch! The second [my third] was in this special area a little while east of Falkreath. I got a Animal Spirit Shout but so far am saving my 2 extra souls for a better one. The guide book has been very helpful. I got a lot of my Alchemy ingredients to reveal all 4 effects already. Because of my extensive time making potions [and then selling most] my Alchemy skill is like 30+ now. Well this is probably going to be one of my only posts today on any of my forums because Skyrim needs me.  |

Any idea how I kill Cheif Yamarz, I wasn't going to but they're group attacked me and comp after we took out the Giant attacking them - so I'm going fullhouse since the quest is dead there but he appears unkillable - every time he should be dead, he keeps getting back up with full health.

Don't know if it's the same guy, but in the very first scene when you go into the keep there's a guy who looks identical to that and first thing I thought was "THE GAYEMMAAAH TRIPLE H". Likeness is uncanny.
Also, started the story again as a Breton, wanted to be a bit more of an all rounder and also make a dude that actually looked like me. WOW, totally different second time round. The person you escape with at the beginning is different, got into some mad trouble in Riverwood when I accidentally stole somethng from the trader, saved a prisoner who was being escorted by Imperials. gah. This game completely blows me away with something new everytime I pick it up.

I believe you can choose who you escape with no matter what race you are. I am a lizard man and love it so far. I played like crazy while our sick yesterday. This game is amazingly beautiful and there is sooooo much to do. It's awful for people who play like they have OCD though because you want to pick up everything. y

As for my update I'm already at level 22 but leveling up will get much harder soon enough. I have a lot of my primary skills at 40+ [out of 100] so for now I am pretty good. My Alchemy skill is at level 65+ because I go on these very long potion making sprees so that I can later sell them! Hell I'm already up to 16,000+ but it has been as high as 18,000 I just bought this nice Elven Armor that has +12% to Alteration use .
Some boss fights/strong opponents still kill me every now and then but I save often so I don't lose much.
Lydia is still alive [and just so people know she can die eventually]. She has died on me like 4x so far so I had to reload. Can't have my future potential wife die!  Plus she carries so much of my loot so she is for sure priceless.
Since my last big post [when I had beaten 3 dragons] I have now beaten at least 7. I know the location for a couple more but one is suppose to be very strong so I am waiting to do him.
Because I've gotten 7 Dragon Souls I have like 6+ shouts. I love Ice Form the most so far.
I'm about to go play some more; I'm addicted there is so much to do! |

Yeah, this game is pretty effing awesome. I'm about 8 or 9 hours in and haven't done anything of note. A couple of side quests and one or two things to advance the main story, but I'm having fun exploring and killing beasts and bandits. Got in over my head returning an item to one of the towns by going into some tower that's underwater and couldn't handle the 3 magic users. After a few tries, I killed the first one, raided her belongings, and ran like hell. Good times. Exploring that cave to find the golden claw has already become one of my most memorable gaming moments; Undead people emerging from the crypts were one thing, BUT THE MOTHER ING SHELOB COMING OUT OF NOWHERE JESUS CHRIST. I SHAT MYSELF. That was a jump out of my seat moment for me. ;D |
