I'm a Breton too but why would you restart the game when you couldn't have possibly beat it [hell even 25% of it yet]?! As for my update I'm already at level 22 but leveling up will get much harder soon enough. I have a lot of my primary skills at 40+ [out of 100] so for now I am pretty good. My Alchemy skill is at level 65+ because I go on these very long potion making sprees so that I can later sell them! Hell I'm already up to 16,000+ but it has been as high as 18,000 I just bought this nice Elven Armor that has +12% to Alteration use .
Some boss fights/strong opponents still kill me every now and then but I save often so I don't lose much.
Lydia is still alive [and just so people know she can die eventually]. She has died on me like 4x so far so I had to reload. Can't have my future potential wife die! Plus she carries so much of my loot so she is for sure priceless.
Since my last big post [when I had beaten 3 dragons] I have now beaten at least 7. I know the location for a couple more but one is suppose to be very strong so I am waiting to do him.
Because I've gotten 7 Dragon Souls I have like 6+ shouts. I love Ice Form the most so far.
I'm about to go play some more; I'm addicted there is so much to do!I have the amulet of Mar but still can't get dialouge to ask Lydia to marry. You know how that works? I have it as well; and don't know either. Now I'm at level 27 and I have $30,000+! My Alchemy skill is at 74 now but damn I hate how all of my potions cost so much to the sellers that I can barely sell them! Those people need to stop being so damn cheap and get some more gold! Funny how some only have faced 1 dragon when just last night I was very close to going to sleep and I tried to wait a couple hours to get to daytime to sell some stuff in Winterhold and it says 'you can't wait because an enemy is nearby.' So I look up at the sky and yeah it is a dragon! I killed that bitch with some help from the guards and got the loot [dragon bones/scales]. So now I am super over the weight limit so I go to sell some things at the College of Winterhold. After I get some of the stuff sold at the college I hear this roar and it is ANOTHER dragon! Like wtf I am tired and need to go to sleep! I stayed up a little later to beat his ass this time with assistance from some of the powerful mages. That was earlier this morning but a little earlier this evening I killed another dragon [my 3rd this day] in Falkreau [sp?]. So that is my update. I just got done watching Survivor and now back to Skyrim. I'll have to play for 2 hours til Revenge and then til I am tired [not of the game because how could that happen?].

Is there any link between this and the previous 4 in the series or is it likes it's own game?
It looks really good but I don't want to buy it if the story is continued from the previous games or something.

Bagged a dragon last night - first random attack, then jumped off the cliff outside Winterhold - door locked at night so thought it, survived the plunge into the water below, then stumbled across some horkers which made me jump when they started moving, didn't see them. At lvl 11, finding it hard to nail down what to do, exploring is my fave but my lvl is low for some areas, not really into the story of the main quests yet, I am neo - right. I'm also tiring of the capacity, having to dump and trade things over with Lydia every round of big kills.

King Silva: If you get your barter/speech up and take some perks all vendors will have larger sums of money and you will be able to sell any item to any vendor.
wyleecyotee: It's a seperate story

I just started finally. Level 3 Red Guard. Havent been into archery until now. I think all those shooter games like MW have made enjoy it more. I do love the finishing moves from though. Just did the claw quest, and I had Faerethal (sp?) as my follower. He was carrying a bunch of stuff for me, but he switches to the strongest weapon and I want him as an archer. Has anyone got the feather spell?

So I finished up the first proper quest for the Companions. Was awesome. Bought a horse. Rode the horse up a mountain. Rode it back down. Jumped of a steep rock. Killed the horse. Anyway... tried to get back onto the main quest, to meet the Greybeards and ended up getting lost up the 7000 steps. My housemate was like HOW CAN YOU GET LOST ON THE 7000 STEPS. He has a point. I feel mentally challenged! Then a troll killed me in two hits and I gave up. Going to try and conquer it tomorrow, lol.
and Silva - I started with another character so I could try a different style of character and be a bit more of a badass (e.g. steal things, lie etc.). Think I accidentally overwrote my old save though so I only have one character now- the Breton. love him though, he's awesome.
wylee - I've never played an Elder Scrolls game in my life, or a fantasy one for that matter. The game is definitely it's own entity, although obviously it draws from a history created by the other games. Definitely GOTY contender too!!

Woke up 90 minutes early to get in some time before going to work. Killed a dragon (my 2nd), got into a drinking contest and woke up in a strange town, and bought a house in Whiterun.

King Silva: If you get your barter/speech up and take some perks all vendors will have larger sums of money and you will be able to sell any item to any vendor. wyleecyotee: It's a seperate story Yeah I have the guide so I know how to get it but I can't spend many perks on speech.. I think I'm only going to have the initial +10% to all bought/sold items. So yeah it really sucks how I have to go on my little selling/buying trips to accumulate money from my potions/items I don't want and get potions/items I do want. This part will be in white because I don't want to spoil too much for some: I'm doing the quest to get Azura's Star and damn is it pretty hard! I mean the initial water cave had tons of strong mages in it. I had to use so many potions to survive in there because I couldn't heal with a spell or I'd be dead. But I made it through and got the Azura's Star.
The quest still has a big battle ahead though and I already tried it with pitiful results.. I have to be teleported inside the Azura's Star and then I have to battle this really strong mage who summons 3 Daedra to attack me. I died on the first one and I am level 32 with 50+ in my main attributes [One Handed, Destruction, Conjuration, Light Armor, Restoration, Alchemy].. So it is just sad and frustrating. But I'll train some more on other things and come back with a vengeance. So I guess that is the end of the spoiler. Other things that happened to me yesterday was that I just started the Companions guide, fought and beat one more dragon. I saw one more but couldn't get to him in time before he ran off but it was impossible for me to beat him one on one at the time anyways.. I earned one more shout as well although imo it isn't very good. Oh yeah I bought my first house! I got it in Whiterun and it was $5000 + like $2000 for the furniture added up. It's kinda cool and I am glad I can store my stuff there for now on instead of using Lydia as a human storage room.. So when I wake up later today I will continue training and I plan on going on a major potion making spree considering I have so much product stored at my house [like 100 lbs+ of material]!

Can't stop playing.
I've only killed 1 dragon. It just showed up out of nowhere, and I took it down with Lydia, and a Mammoth and a giant who were nearby.

I've had it rented for a week to check it out. I'm usually not an RPG guy but everyone was so excited, I decided to give it a shot. Needless to say, I love it. Very surprised to say that, I've got to return it to the store tomorrow but I'm going to pick up a copy soon and keep playing!

Um . . . so Lydia died during a fight with a couple of Trolls in Lost Valkygg and I stupidly saved before realizing it. Are other "housecarls" available in different towns?

Sucks dude but you don't have multiple saves? I always keep 2 and the last autosave but before I end my time gaming I delete the autosave. Anyways yes you can get 4 other housecarls and they are from: Solitude, Markarth, Windhelm, and Riften. There are 2 remaining males and 2 remaining females for you dude. RIP to your Lydia. Word of advice to people who want to have their companions last longer I would try to buy the spell 'Healing Hands' because then you can heal your partners. I use it a lot.

Wait, you can have 47 followers? . That's outrageous (but in a good way). What's the saving like in this game? I always liked how you can have separate saves for your different characters in Dragon Age Origins. Is it like that game, or is it like Fallout 3/NV?
