Great show June! I havent seen a lumberjack match in awhile and you pulled it off great. Fantastic spacing between the matches, interviews and videos on your show, just like an old fashioned broadcast!
I was particulary impressed with your use of the Rock n Roll Express. You used all their fast paced moves and the way they entered the arena was great, moving around the ring greeting the fans.
Great work June and thanks for posting this show.

Awesome show man. The first match was really good, definitely the best you have ever made. Second match was a little short, but it got the job done. Nice promos. Another quick match, I liked that Rood custom. The TV title match was good, why did he get DQ'd? I like the mattel jobbers, are they ever gonna win a match? Main event was awesome, the ending was great.
Overall the show was great, I thought your poses improved, I cant wait for the next one.

I'll explain a few of the rules in Mid-South Wrestling : OVER THE TOP ROPE DQ - It is an automatic DQ if you toss your opponent over the top rope and onto the floor, which is what happened in the TV Title match between Taylor and The Missing Link. EXPOSED FLOOR - Also the exposed hardwood floors are there by design, they were seen as a deterrent, and would raise the stakes in battle royals since there was no padding. There was a time when the battle royal was considered one of the most dangerous match types, and that had a lot to do with the exposed wood, or concrete floors. DQ FOR INTERFERENCE - During tag matches, it is an automatic DQ the illegal man breaks up a pinfall, or submission. An example of that can be seen in the 6-Man Tag I did on the Louisiana Dome Super Show. - TOP ROPE DQ - In Mid-South it is an automatic DQ if any wrestler jumps off the top ropes and onto his opponent. This would explain why I have my wrestlers utilize the middle turnbuckle so often. This show was a special edition of Power Pro Wrestling which is why I featured 3 non-squash matches. In the old days, squash matches were vital to getting talent over and keeping them strong. Squash Matches would never be featured on a PPV or Super Show. I try to keep it as old school as possible. Great action in the Lumberjack Match! I really liked BJH pressing the Grappler over the top rope to the floor, to be caught by Bundy...then BJH vaults over and takes them out! I like unexpected things like that! I liked the commercial break during the match, reminded me of the old NWA WTBS shows. Things are quickly devolving as all the lumberjacks are duking it out! Who's keeping order here, Matty Mo?!?!  I keed, I keed, Mo! All the lumberjacks are being sent to the back, who's gonna...lumberjack? Don'tcha hate the limited articulation when it comes to the full-nelson? You do the best you can, though! Devastation, Inc. is truly devastating when assembled like that! They look awesome! One of these days someone might take Bruno Sammartino to task for his cheek. Ha! Poor Tracy Smothers, one THUMP is all it took to put him away... Whoa, Harley grew out the manly 'stache for your show! He better shave that before WrestleRama! Orndorff is alive, whew! He took a sick brainbuster on the hardwood floor last episode! Ohhh, "The Boss," huh? I think I might know who he is! Ohh, that young scrub "Rood" got a back suplex off! But Watts proves to be way too much for the rookie! I hope that the Missing Link gets another shot at Taylor's belt! Taylor needs to lose! ;D Ha! That video of the R'n'R Express was great! Kayfabe at it's finest! Too bad the genie is out of the bottle! The RnRXpress wrap up a nice win, nice action and offense from Morton and Gibson! Good stuff! I hope they get a match with the Midnight Express REAL soon! Harley and Magnum, great main event! They met recently in WrestleFest's Survivor Series, and i hope Magnum wins the TWA World Title tonight! Will we see Race's hired thugs tonight? Let's find out! Good action here, Magnum working the leg, Harley misses the headbutt to the arena floor, ouch! Race working the arm now... WOW, whatta finish! Hot right down to the wire! , im excited for this, i know weve talked about it!!!! The Lumberjack match!! Nice choice for lumberjacks, u got one hell of a lineup there. Pandaminium breaking up all over the territories!!! The Grapler steals this one, Nice interview segment at the end, i suggest you put more of those in your shows my man! My man JYD!!!! Tracey Smothers dont stand a chance. Smothers to the pound!!! Wonder whos race is wrestling, hmmmmmm.................. ORndorff with some type of annoucment of some sort, Ricky? Rude and Bill Watts, And it ends with a bulldog for the 3 count!! Missing Link and Terry Taylor title on the line! Ends with top rope decision, i see this another match between the 2 coming on!! Great to hear Magnums gettin a shot at Harley, RnR express in Mid SOuth sounds great!!! I cannot wait to see them more!! And now the moment we have all been waiting for, Magnum and Race!!!!! Race and Magnum scramble it up, Race goes out, Suckers Magnum, Race trytin to leave and gets stopped by Andre!!! Omy!!! Magnums thinks hes won, but no! I totally marked out fro the belly to belly from Magnum!!!!!!!! Loving this, Time limit draw, wow, Magnum about had it there, When will Races reign end!??!?? |

Loving the press slams in the opening match. Good build up to the eventual finish.
Love your Dibiase. Been digging him for a while.
Really enjoyed the TV Title match. Love your Missing Link. Spiffy sunset flip spot in that one as well. Loved the old school top rope finish. Classic.
All of the matches were long and felt like real contests.
The main event however, was definitely a long drawn out battle. Great way to keep everyone looking strong and have a real back and fourth battle. Race keeps the belt, but TA pushes him to the limit and makes sure everyone knows Mid-South is on the map.

You produce solid episodes with great overall quality, always dig the posing and photography and how you pace your matches. Always looking forward to more stuff form ya.  |

I thought this was another great show and I really enjoy this brand of the TWA. Favorite match was the TV title match...really liked how the match was presented. Great seeing the RNR express. You really nailed down how tag teams work in this match, and hit alot of moves that were very realistic that RNR have done. WOW, that main event was incredible. The build up was great and the payoff was well done. I know Race would win but I think you really helped get Magnum over. Fun match to watch. Overall, another great show. I quoted tirva's post becasue I think it's important to note that when shows are publicly displayed, it's gonna be opened up to scrutiny. The string issue, while perhaps not seemingly a big deal, I don't think necessarily takes away from the quality of the overall show, nor does it diminsih the effort, but it does take away the "realism" of the show. One can really get wrapped up in the match and then...oh, there's some string  . You're not the only one that's been constructively criticized about the string issue, but I think it's a fair observation. Not to speak for tirva, but I think that's all he was getting at. There are many programs out there to help with editing out the string that can make the product look more realistic. Take it as a word of advice from your viewers. Some people edit it/some don't for whatever reason. What you do with it is up to you since it's your fed. These are just suggestions . Keep up the good work! |
