I don't care for those pants. Even if you don't have trunks, I think the shorts look alright.
Cannot wait for your giant post.

Either way it looks great bu t i prefer the nWo shirt one. When you add the extra elbow pad and paint the vest it will look more complete. Good job so far.

Hillbilly Jim seems like a good base for a Scott Hall custom. Maybe switch out the lower legs / boots with ones similar to Jim Duggan.
I'm a big Hall fan too, so I'm hoping Mattel will get him signed on for a couple of figures.

P\I know you said thye were leftovers, but personally I don't think I'd use Knox for Hall. I'd either wait for a Hillbilly Jim or get an Elite Kozlov and paint the upper part of his thighs flesh color.

basic Knox and/or elite Hillbilly Jim are both very tall figures. You can't actually switch out their lower legs for tall kicks because the calves are very tall (think bigger scale to L1 Steve Austin). Short calves that use the tall kicks like British Bulldog is too small for the massive knee joints of a Knox/Jim/Koslov, but it is passable if it's covered with knee pads. Plus also consider skin-tones, Knox/Jim are very light compared to tanned Bulldog/Orndorff.
The only thing for me though is that the R3 Hall head is very small on that body, noticeably so. I think in this instance, a Jakks balloon Hall head would work for the body.
BTW I'm also looking forward to your mega post of fix-ups! I know you're one of the few guys that collect only basics (I think?) so to see these fix-ups will be interesting.

I got a lot of great feedback....very insightful too, Thanks....I had NOT thought about the Legends 4 Hillbilly Jim (PJ) as a great body for Scott Hall.
Hall and Knox are both billed at 6 ft. 6in....Hall's prime weight was 265 and Knox is about 285. Hillbilly Jim was billed at 6 ft. 7in but is actually 6 ft 3.
Bruiser Brody is also another option as he was about 6 ft. 5 or 6 ft. 6 as well....with his weight in the same range.
I am not sure what I will do.....just bought Knox fig for the lower legs for a Hogan I am working on and I didn't want the fig to go to waste.
-Thanks again-Peace Out, -Wagdaddy

First one looks better, but it's the shirt and pads that make it.
I wonder if you couldn't acetone the shorts off the legs. It's still have the wrinkles, but might look better.

Buy Hillbilly Jim and add his head & overalls to the Knox body. Then you still have a Hillbilly Jim basic figure.
Then use Hillbilly's elite torso for your Hall. The tights underneath are perfect for Hall. Add your vest & knee pads and it should look great.
Plus this way you still have to figures to show for it. Not just a bunch of pieces laying around.
