Are there any particularly strange choices you can remember for packaging photos? I'm always baffled by the use of a 1996/97 photo on a Ring Rage Undertaker.  |

HHH & HBK on the original CS1 figures.
I believe those were the only ones that had the real images on them?

Yeah, the CS HBK and Triple H from Series 1 really seemed weird to me. Why use actual pictures of them and not for the other figures?? They should have actually used real pictures of the wrestlers on the CS instead of the action figure picture.

Yeah, the CS HBK and Triple H from Series 1 really seemed weird to me. Why use actual pictures of them and not for the other figures?? They should have actually used real pictures of the wrestlers on the CS instead of the action figure picture. I actually prefer the picture of the figure rather than of the actual person. To me the person and figure would have to match-up attire wise for it to look good. With the picture of the figure, they are obviously going to match up (for the most part). I mean on CS 1 HBK, the figure's attire is from WrestleMania XII (1996) while the photo depicts HBK during his heal 1994 run. To this day I HATE the fact CS 1 HBK & HHH stand out from the rest of my CS figures. I was hoping a carding variant of each would surface with the picture of the figure in place of the actual photo. |

also if Jakks had used real photos for CS then they'd have been making it more obvious where they'd cut corners, used inaccurate parts, and skipped detail.

They used that same pic for every jeff hardy figure after he came back in 06.

I remember a Triple figure from the BCA days and he was wearing a singlet in the picture. I don't remember him ever wearing that.

I believe they used that Undertaker picture for several ABA releases, as well.

I've wondered about the picture they used for Shawn Michaels on his Series 8 Build 'N Brawl figure. The pic is clearly from '96 or '97 but the fig was definitely supposed to be from much later in Shawn's career.
