HOLY ING poop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just finished the series. My God, the finale is one of the greatest things i have ever seen in my life. All of the black lodge scenes were messing with my head. I'm not gonna lie, the black lodge scenes were scaring me. The doppelgangers and Bob and Lauras screaming omg. They really saved the best episode for last. I really hope they do something with it in 5 years, its just too good to leave it like that. Up until now Lost was my favourite show, but my god after that finale, and the Laura Palmer storyline, Twin Peaks is definately on par, if not better than Lost. David Lynch you ing bastard, making people want more. I don't know what i'm going to do, I need more twin peaks. hahahaaa Like I said, I love hearing peoples reactions to it. Glad you liked it. I love that it is the end of Twin Peaks and not just a season finale. So much stuff just not finalized. If you look online, you can find info on what was supposed to happen in season 3, so you'll know who was supposed to love and die in that ending. It doesn't help a lot since there is no more show, but it's interesting to read about. So do you get the thing about Cooper & Laura and 25 years later now? Because Cooper will be in the Black Lodge in 25 years. You can watch Fire Walk With Me now, but just know ahead of time it is Laura-oriented and there is very little of the townsfolk in it. Some aren't even in it. Lara Flynn Boyle isn't even playing Donna in it. Cooper is in it but VERY LITTLE. Then after you watch that, if you like reading, you can find the original FWWM script online. That has A LOT of people in it. SUPPOSEDLY it was all filmed, but was about 4 hours long when edited together, so Lynch had to shorten it. Glad you liked it.

Some French company owns the footage because they invested in the film and since all that stuff was cut they got to keep it. But, again it's a rumor, they want a LOT of money for it because they think it would make a lot of money to release the footage.

That presence was made known. Did they even elude to a supernatural being in the first season or even any hints that the show would be about supernatural things? From what I've seen/read the more out there stuff comes up in the second season.

From what I've seen/read the more out there stuff comes up in the second season. They showed the red room from the black lodge, in the second episode of season 1 I read that the whole BOB thing came about after Lynch filmed a scene and BOB's reflection just happened to appear. He didn't plan for it to happen, but after it did, he added it in.

Yeah that scene was in the pilot, originally i think maybe Undytaker can back this up, but in one of the pilots Laura Palmers mom, sees bob at the end of lauras bed, introducing bob, but in the other version of the pilot, where he is in the mirror, she screams from a dream

This is why I should probably just watch instead of relying on the internet for what happens, because they made it seem like it was this regular show and then in the second season Lynch just loses his crapand throws in all this supernatural stuff.

Okay, about the pilot episode and Bob. Originally the show wasn't supposed to be a show, but a tv movie. So the original ending was supposed to be Bob the killer in the hospital room with the candles, and he was going to be THE killer. They actually show tiny pieces of this in the series. There is a shot of 12 candles(representing the 12 sycamore trees by the Black Lodge) with a ring in the middle on top of a pile of dirt. There is also a shot of Bob saying, "Mike, can you hear me?" Those are from the original movie. But as the movie developed, ABC thought that it might make an interesting series. So they adapted it into the show. So it was always somehow going to be Bob as the killer. But the supernatural stuff didn't really come into play until they started developing the series.
As for Bob himself, the guy who played him worked on the show, and Lynch thought he looked like a creepy guy, so they used him as Bob. It wasn't because he was accidentally in a shot or anything like that.
Slappy, you should watch it if you have the time. It really is great. Yes, it does have that supernatural stuff, and that does get weird and confusing at times, but as a whole it is phenomenal.

That is why I didn't want to watch it, because I thought they were doing a regular show and then added the supernatural stuff in the second season.
But now that I know it is a supernatural type show from the start, that is ok.

Is fire walk with me, actually any good? What happened to that old lady and her grandson I was thinking, was the black lodge the place where the evil spirit/version/doppelgangers of the characters are from FWWM is.......interesting. Like I said, it is Laura-heavy. It's the last 7 days of her life. So if you don't care about her, you'll probably be bored. You get to see how she died. I'd say watch it just to see it. It goes right up until Laura is floating in the river by Pete's house. But then there is a REALLY GOOD Black Lodge ending that always makes me cry. I would even say watch it just to get to that ending. The old lady and her grandson is a tough one. They are SUPPOSEDLY from a Lodge(not sure if it is the White or Black one). But they are otherworldly. They are actually in FWWM for about a minute. I don't know where they are now. The Black Lodge is the place of evil. BUT, as you can see, Cooper and Laura are there even though they are not evil. That is because something evil stole them from our world. The Man From Another Place(the midget) is Mike's arm that is missing. I know that sounds ridiculous, but that's what he is. It was the evil part of Mike, so Mike took his own arm off, and it went to the Black Lodge. And since you brought up the word "doppleganger", if you are good your evil doppelganger is in the Black Lodge, as you saw with Cooper. And, yes, that was David Lynch as Gordon Cole. He is in FWWM for a few minutes along with Cooper and Albert. All this talking about it, I might have to go watch it again. haha That is why I didn't want to watch it, because I thought they were doing a regular show and then added the supernatural stuff in the second season. But now that I know it is a supernatural type show from the start, that is ok. It's there throughout the series, but towards the end the whole mythology of Bob and the Black Lodge comes to a head. So if you don't like the supernatural stuff you'll be okay watching it until the last few episodes, but I think by then it is good because that's when it starts to really make sense(if you can make sense of it haha).

I've just found the full FWWM on youtube so im watching it now Just finished it. I didnt like it one bit. It made no sense at all, David Bowie randomly disappearing, Coops storyline just getting dropped for no reason, Laura got ing annoying by the end of the film, What the hell was with the monkey. I can see why it tanked, it didnt feel like twin peaks at all.
