It was the final Raw of 2010 and CM Punk had promised to make John Cena pay for his past actions. John Cena came out to confront Punk at nights end but was met with Wade Barrett-less Nexus. David Otunga offered a truce to Cena, but it was turned down. Nexus then attacked Cena reminiscence of there first attack on him 6 months ago. The music of CM Punk hit and Punk went down to the ring and delivered the Go To Sleep on Cena. Punk then sat down on a steel chair, put on the Nexus arm band and held his hand up to the rest of Nexus... only one can wonder what is in store for Cena next [/font]

Well I hate to admit it, but this week's RAW was great. And I really expected someone to do a sim the exact day. Good luck, John.

| December 31st, 2010 | Blue Cross Arena: Rochester, NY | "New Year, No Limits"
We are welcomed to Smackdown by Matt Striker, Michael Cole, and Todd Grisham as the music of The Rated R Superstar [blue]Edge[/blue] hits and Edge makes his way down to the ring to a nice pop and grabs a mic. Edge gets on the mic and wishes everyone a Happy New Year, he continues to tell them that the new year is going to go out with a bang tonight on Smackdown. He talks about how Kane said that they're playing by his rules now and says that as long as he is the World Heavyweight Champion, you'll always be playing under the Rated R Superstar's rules. The music of [blue]Kane[/blue] hits as he makes his way down to the ring and grabs a mic, Kane says that he's heard enough of Edge and tells Edge that he won't be the champion for long. Kane says that Edge's mind games are over and it's time for the Big Red Monster to begin playing the most brutal mind games of all leading up to the Royal Rumble, because that's where he's going to be using his rematch clause. Edge says that he is going to be prepared for every mind game Kane tries when the lights suddenly go off and they turn back on to a dark red color as both Kane and Edge have disapered from the ring.[blue] [ Commercial Break ]Singles Match Chris Masters w/ Byron Saxton[/blue] vs. [blue]Curt Hawkins[/blue]
We start off with a tie up between Hawkins and Masters as Saxton roots for Masters outside the ring. Hawkins takes a couple of cheap shots on Masters and gains control of the match landing a stiff DDT and stays on the attack. Masters regains himself and counters a suplex with a suplex of his own and nails a backbreaker to follow up. Saxton gets on to the apron to cheer Masters on some more, but the ref goes over and tells Saxton to get off which causes Masters to yell at Saxton. Hawkins takes advantage of Masters' anger and rolls him up to get the 3 count.
[blue]Winner of the match: Curt Hawkins[/blue]
We go backstage Kelly Kelly who is quickly approached by Drew McIntyre. McIntyre trys hitting on Kelly but, she doesn't seem to care too much. McIntyre tells her that she might not care now, but once he wins the Royal Rumble then she'll be crawling to him. He says that if she doesn't believe him, he's going to make an example in his match, which is up next. [blue] [ Commercial Break ]Singles Match Drew McIntyre[/blue] vs. [blue]Ezekiel Jackson[/blue]
McIntyre is in shock at his opponent as he looks to the man beast that is Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson quickly runs up on McIntyre in the corner, but the ref breaks the two up. McIntyre trys to outsmart Jackson, but it doesn't seem to be working as Jackson nails a big shoulder tackle. Jackson nails tons of powerhouse moves and ends it with the Book of Ezekiel. He covers McIntyre and gets the easy 3 count.
[blue]Winner of the match: Ezekiel Jackson [ Commercial Break ][/blue][/b] We return as we hear the loud screech of [blue]Vickie Guerrero[/blue]. "EXCUSEEE ME" as tons of boo's begin to roar from the Rochester crowd. She introduces her "boyfriend" [blue]Dolph Ziggler[/blue]. She grabs a mic for herself as well as one for Ziggler as she begins to speak, but is interupted by a chorus of Boo's. She says that Dolph Ziggler put on a showing against the face of the WWE, John Cena not only once, but two times in back to back nights. She says that Ziggler is the Intercontinental Champion and the future of the WWE for a reason which draws a ton of heat to her and Ziggler. Ziggler gets on the mic and says that the champion always finds the smartest way to win, just look at his triple threat match from TLC as an example. [blue]Kofi Kingston[/blue] then makes his way out to the ring and says that it was nothing but luck that the title fell while Ziggler was right beside it, simply luck. Kingston says that if he was a real champion, he would give both himself and Swagger a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship. [blue]Jack Swagger[/blue] then makes his way out to the ring and says that it was the biggest fluke win in the history of flukes, a bigger fluke then both the New York Jets and New York Giants seasons combined, which draws heat from the New York crowd. Smackdown General Manager [blue]Theodore Long[/blue] makes his way out to the ring and says that he's in the giving mood so next week it will be Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger for the Intercontinental Championship, and just to make sure that Vickie Guerrero doesn't interfere it will be a Steel Cage Match! The crowd pops for that as Ziggler and Vickie begin to bicker at Long, but Long walks backstage and leaves Ziggler and Vickie to argue with Swagger and Kingston.
We cut to the announcers table in which Michael Cole says that last Monday on Raw, one of the most shocking things since the Nexus' debut happened when CM Punk joined the Nexus. The Raw Rebound airs showing the Nexus beatdown on Cena and Punk topping it off with the GTS, followed by putting on the Nexus Armband. [blue] [ Commercial Break ]Tag Team Match Beth Phoenix[/blue] & [blue]Kelly Kelly[/blue] vs. [blue]Lay-Cool[/blue]
We start with Kelly and Michelle McCool in the ring as McCool wastes little time cornering Kelly. McCool nails some punches on Kelly and backs away from her. The two go back and forth for a while until both legal women tag out to there fresh teamates. Beth Phoenix hits all of her signature spots and finishes off with the Glam Slam. Beth gets the 3 count.
[blue]Winners of the match: Beth Phoenix[/blue] & [blue]Kelly Kelly[/blue]
Beth and Kelly celebrate there victory as Michelle McCool and Layla have a fit outside the ring.
We cut backstage to [blue]Josh Mathews[/blue] who is joined by [blue]Alberto Del Rio[/blue]. Josh asks Del Rio what he thinks about what happened earlier between Edge and Kane as Del Rio responds by saying he doesn't care what happens between them two until after the Royal Rumble because he's going to win the Rumble and make sure he challenges one of them at Wrestlemania, but Josh.. Josh already knows that. [blue] [ Commercial Break ][/blue] We come back as [blue]Big Show[/blue] and [blue]Hornswoggle[/blue] make there way out the ring with Big Show dressed as Baby New Year. They do a funny segment where Big Show asks Hornswoggle what his New Years Resolution is, Hornswoggle speaks jibberish and Big Show asks Hornswoggle if he's sure that he wants to start potty training. The crowd laughs and Hornswoggle begins to look irritated. Big Show tells everyone to have a Happy New Year, but [blue]Cody Rhodes[/blue] music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Rhodes says that everyone's New Years Resolution should be to try and be more dashing by brushing there teeth on a regular basis, taking showers every day, plucking there eyebrows, and all that good stuff. Big Show tells Cody to just shut up once and for all, but Cody begins to offer some grooming tips to Show, which leads Big Show to challenge Rhodes to a match right here, right now. Cody accepts as the bell rings and it turns into an improptu match-up.
[blue]Singles Match Big Show[/blue] vs. [blue]Cody Rhodes[/blue]
We start off with Cody second guessing his decision to agree to the match as he tries to get out of the ring, but Big Show grabs him by the head and drags him to the middle of the ring. Big Show over powers Rhodes and hits some open hand chops on him in the corner which lights his chest. Big Show goes for an early chokeslam, but Rhodes reverses it and dives at Big Show's leg, knocking him down. Rhodes quickly goes out of the ring, grabs a chair, and slides it into the ring. Rhodes follows up by hitting Show in the back with the steel chair several times as the ref calls for the bell.
[blue]Winner of the match via Disqualification: Big Show[/blue]
After the match, Rhodes continues to attack the Show with the steel chair, gaining retribution from weeks of being humiliated by The Big Show. Rhodes then walks up the ramp with a sadistic smirk on his face.
We go backstage to the boiler room which is in dim red lighting as we zoom in on Kane who is starting to make his way to the ring. You can hear the distant screams of Edge in the background as he is begging for help and someone to help him, but no one can hear him. The main event is next. [blue] [ Commercial Break ]
Tag Team Match Alberto Del Rio [/blue] & [blue] Kane[/blue] vs. [blue]Rey Mysterio[/blue] & [blue]Edge[/blue] The music of Edge hits, but no one comes out and the match starts out as a handicap match. Del Rio and Mysterio start things off as Mysterio uses his speed as an advantage by landing a few quick kicks on Del Rio. Mysterio stays in control for abit until he misses a big springboard splash on Del Rio. Del Rio keeps Mysterio grounded with a couple of submissions and tags out to Kane, who makes little work of Mysterio by man handeling him around the ring. Kane nails a big powerbomb and stalks Rey down for the chokeslam, but the music of [blue]Edge[/blue] hits as he emerges from the curtain. Kane looks down the ramp shocked at seeing Edge as Mysterio takes advantage by drop kicking Kane into Del Rio, which counted as a tag. Kane goes outside of the ring only to be whipped into the steps by Edge. Mysterio hits some of his signature spots and connects with the 619 on Del Rio and tags out to Edge who follows it up with a big spear. Edge hooks Del Rio's leg and gets the 3 count. [blue]Winners of the match: Rey Mysterio[/blue] & [blue]Edge[/blue] After the match, the lights go off once again and when they go on both Edge and Kane have disapered, very similar to what happened to open Smackdown as we end the year 2010. -LOL at it saying the last Snackdown. But a decent promo to kick off the show, the Edge/Kane feud continuing is fine. -I really hope Hawkins can get some kind of push soon. So this is a good start. -Ezekiel winning here was the right call as he is "domination". He looks like a face here facing a heel. -A Steel Cage Match for the title next week? I big way to open the year, some might question it as it could be for main eventers only but it should be good anyway. -Beth and Kelly over Lay-Cool is good. Lay-Cool split looks like something you might do. -Big Show and Cody Rhodes feud looks to down Rhodes. Show has a steady push going here though. -Rey Mysterio and Edge winning was the right call. A good main event to end the show. -Good show; like the format and order of matches. Not alot came wrong here.

-May I say this is an great point to start off with. -Interesting opening promo with Kane and Edge. Kane using his rematch clause at RR is good. Them disappearing is interesting. -Hawkins going over Masters is a great way to get him over. -Zeke going over there is a good call. Hope he gets a push soon. -A rematch for the IC Title being a steel cage match is nice. -Phoenix and Kelly Kelly winning is good. -Show going over Rhodes via DQ is a good way to expand their feud. -Mysterio and Edge winning after Edge escaped is good. Them disappearing again is nice as well. Overall, good SD.
