With Cena being injured, he may be out for Wrestlemania depending how bad it is but just looking at the ammount of big names that are out, its gonna make Wrestlemania interesting to say the least
No HBK No Undertaker (Probably) No Batista No Chris Jericho No HHH (at the moment) No Cena (Maybe)
The only big draws that are wrestlemania calibre are Edge, Orton and Mysterio
Thank God WWE started pushing the younger guys because god knows what may have happened.
Either way, I think Wrestlemania 27 will suck.
What do you guys think

Well, I consider it a good thing that we're giving lesser names a chance to sink or swim on the big stage. It's been said over and over again. The vets aren't going to be around forever, and we wont be able to rely on their star power for every Wrestlemania.

HHH will be at Wrestlemania, but the show will not get anywhere near a million buys

I agree with Badnewz. It's cool to see an Austin-Rock or Hogan-Rock level confrontation at wrestlemania but I'd rather there be something less common. I mean, I'd rather Cena and Orton be in a competitive match take a guy like Miz and put him opposite someone that hasn't been on that big Stage so we can see who shines. If Jericho came back at the Rumble AND DID NOT WIN I'd be satisfied with him in the mid-card because he has that "star power" to not be the center focus. Star power can go to anyone, ask Sheamus or Swagger it comes and goes. If WWE decided they want 4 matches to have a big payoff we'd have no discussion about star power.. but WWE decided a few years ago that certain names belong on top and the rest are interchangeable midcard with little to no importance.

WWE needs to make this year's HOF class special to bring back some interest of older fans who have stopped watching wrestling. Vince should put his personal feelings aside and invite Savage, Warrior, and Goldberg to the HOF. That would pique some interest.

This could be a blessing in disguise, for the younger talent.

This could be a blessing in disguise, for the younger talent. yeah, i mean, even if there is lack of star power here is the chance to actually build on their attempts of making credible champions (The Miz, Sheamus, Jack Swagger)

No HBK - retired anyway. No Undertaker (Probably) - He will show No Batista - Good. No Chris Jericho - No HHH (at the moment) - He will show. No Cena (Maybe) - Good.

This could be the best WM in a long time. Give all the new guys a chance to shine on the biggest stage.

This is shaping up to be like Wrestlemania X, where Bret, Razor, Shawn, and Owen got to shine on the big stage, without Hogan, Warrior, and only a little involvement from Savage. Still think the loss of Cena is HUGE from a business standpoint but this could give a good indication as to which young stars are ready for the big stage.

2011 will be the year of rising talent.
I can see Del Rio in a big feud heading into WM.

I'm pretty excited about Mania tbh. Not sure on Cena's exact status but from a purely business standpoint it would suck for the company if he can't go. Plus, Cena vs Punk has a lot of draw and is something I wanted to see. Aside from that, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Miz vs Morrison, maybe Del Rio vs Edge, Jack Swagger, I mean there are a lot of young guys that I really love watching right now that are finally getting a chance to reach that next level. Forgive me if I don't want to see Undertaker and HHH wrestle in the main event for the umpteenth time, but I think this could potentially be a Mania we look back at and view as the changing of an era as long as the matches deliver. Someone brought up Mania X and I hope that it can live up to that because I loved Mania X and definitely see the parallels.

If Wade Barrett headlines WM, I will be a very happy camper. ;D

I have a feeling Hart will put the boots back on for this one. Not that i think he should. Bret is great shape considering his stroke, but he will more than likely never be able to wrestle a real match again. Still though, i think Vince will come crawling and Bret will take the bait.
I could also see Goldberg squashing somebody, which would be cool.

I'm not too sure about Mania this year. Yeah there is some good young talent to carry the workload ,but its Wrestlemania. There needs to be something special about Mania or its just another ppv. Both from a historical perspective and from a pricepoint justification perspective,it needs more than just another Miz/Orton, or Miz/Cena headliner. Or something of that equivalent. Its less like Mania 10 (which had several months worth of issues culminating) and more like Mania 11 ,which was more of a thrown together card outside of the double main event. Granted it did bring Nash and HBK into the true main event scene, and kept Bret and Taker protected as big time players. But even that event had Taylor/Bigelow ,as attrocious as it was,to garner that "Mania" style interest. There is plenty of time for Mania 27 to get a good build up with the newer guys on top. But let's set this "youth movement" stuff to the side for 1 night, and hope that Vince can pull off something special with a couple of established stars for the biggest stage of them all. I'm not saying feature them in world title situations, but as special attractions. Lesnar COULD be apart of that maybe. Perhaps Goldberg can do 1 last in ring deal. Maybe even Austin doing a non wrestling role ,but still featured in a prominent position. But like I said, there is still plenty of time to build properly. And the jury is waaay out on exactly who is out of action thru Mania time. Taker could still be there in a protected role,HHH will almost definately be there, we still don't know what's goin on with Cena ,and HBK could still be hyped for a non wrestling return to Mania. We will know more after the Rumble. Which I always look forward to.
