Hey guys, I recently wrote this article and I was hoping I could get some feedback from people who are likely both MMA and pro wrestling fans. Thanks!, Nick Brock Lesnar and the 20 MMA Fighters Who Could Compete in WWEWWE’s Vince McMahon and UFC’s Dana White have long said that the two sports are not in competition in that they are different forms of entertainment. While this is true to some extent, the two sports are in competition for one thing—talent. As a pro wrestling and MMA fan, it’s hard not to look at the current rosters in the UFC, Strikeforce, and around the world and say, “Wow, these guys could have been the next generation stars in WWE.” While Brock Lesnar made the opposite transition from pro wrestling to MMA and Dave Batista is attempting to do the same, many of the top MMA stars in the world would make excellent pro wrestling stars. Here are 20 MMA fighters who could make the transition to WWE. Read on for the list...

Very interesting article. I agree with mostly everything, very well written. I myself would have tossed BJ Penn in there(but then again I'm a nuthugger). I have this insane fantasy of seeing BJ Penn vs. Daniel Bryan in a Submissions Only match.

BJ Penn is my favorite MMA fighter.
My question is if his small size would make him look ridiculous in WWE. I have a feeling it would, unfortunately.

St. Pierre, Frankie Edgar(ironically enough) are runners up there too, but Penn is all time for me. Yeah, chances are he'd get the Kaval/Bourne treatment and wind up getting tossed around by Sheamus and Tyler Reks( ).

Funny, as soon as Kliquid mentioned that Penn might look too small in WWE, I immediately thought of Kaval.

Interesting. Frank could replicate the success of Ken.

i agree about arlovski. he'd be the 'real steve blackman', he would've been a great modern age shamrock gimmick. also, frank shamrock. that guy has perfect charisma and was one of the first mma fighters to use real 'promos'.
i also would've loved to hate a heel matt hughes. same with koscheck.

Tito Ortiz would be the best pick out of them all.
