It's being reported that current creative plans call for both Edge and The Miz to hold on to their titles through Royal Rumble and defend them at the Elimination Chamber PPV.
It's also being reported that original creative plans called for a Triple Threat WWE Title Match at the Royal Rumble, pitting The Miz against John Morrison and Randy Orton. There was also talk of Sheamus being added to the match to make it a Fatal Four Way bout.

I  ing hate Elimination Chamber and how the world titles are defended in it. They had it right in 2008 when they used it to decide the #1 contenders, but to give 5 other guys a chance to win the title when you already have the Royal Rumble winner is just stupid. |

I was thinking the other day how the Chamber is the new Rumble. And what sucks is if there is a new champ at EC, they will most likely loose it at Mania. (Except Jericho thank god) |

I don't really like that either.
It should be # 1 contender matches since no champ should lose at EC that is just stupid.
Being a one month and 2 weeks champ going into WM is stupid since you are likely to retain or in wwe's case lose and have a sh*t reign..

Strongly agree. I loved the way they did it in 2008. Granted, that was a somewhat special circumstance since the Rumble winner cashed in early, but I see no reason why they can't just limit themselves to 1 Chamber match on the PPV, for the #1 Contendership of the opposite brand. These title Chamber matches are always so ing thrown together and meaningless. And yet the title has changed hands in every one of them and it's annoying. |

EC is just a big failure. All it is, is a way to book the matches they want for Mania last minute. It makes the belt look like trash too, when we get a new champ in February and its obvious the belt was put on him to have a WM feud, and he loses it after not even having it for 2 months at Mania to the Rumble winner or new #1 contender.

Damn, I love the Elimination Chamber match, when its needed, when it was built up, when there were so many fueds going on in the Main Event scene, now, like the HIAC match, they have killed it
