See to me, when you take top credible contender, like Dos Santos, and completely disregard them by saying "can't wait to see brock destroy him"...that **** I take personal offense to. It's completely uneducated and disrespectful.
People need to get a grip with this "I <3 BROCK" crap. I have a sh*t ton of respect for Lesnar. He's a cash cow(never a bad thing), he's just literally concentrated potential, he's a more humble fighter now, and he's coming into his own.
His fans are what get me. It's just pissing in the wind here arguing this point, because I'm "JUST A HATER TO BE SILENCED WHEN HE ABSOLUTELY OBLITTERATES ________ IN THEIR NEXT FIGHT" but if you're gonna tell me not to say a single bad thing about him, them I'll tell you the same about him being "the greatest".

well you can say that about any fighters fans.....
hell I can say that about the hardcore PRIDE fans that can't let sh** go...
I love Wandy, Anderson, Fedor, Rampage, Shogun, Ninja, Gomi, Crocop etc.
but try having a civilized conversation with the hardcore fans of pride and let me know how that goes....
they are the people that still think Fedor is the #1 P4P fighter right now, CroCop is still going to KO whoever the f*** he fights with a LHK, etc, etc...
...these fans will ride the **** of anyone who fought in pride...except for Anderson Silva, oddly enough.

Those guys proved themselves at the time when MMA was really starting to boil. UFC was NOT what is now, and PRIDE was just an all-around better company. They made very poor financial decisions, but they had the best fighters come through and put on some shows. UFC even brought a couple of guys over there (Rodriguez, former UFC Heavyweight champion and Chuck Liddell, who was on a tear and rising in popularity.) and those guys lost against the PRIDE guys. I know PRIDE is gone, but PRIDE is what made me start to love MMA. I'll always believe in those guys, because of what they have done for the sport. Wanderlei always comes to fight, Fedor ALWAYS comes to fight, Rampage, Ninja, Shogun, etc. Cro Cop is still as dangerous, but this guy really needs to know when to pull the trigger. I honestly think the Gonzaga KO broke his heart. Fedor is still one of the top P4P best, and one of the best MMA fighters to ever live. Like I have said before, there are indeed new fighters and guys working their way up, but none of these guys hold a candle to Fedor until they do what he has done. His record speaks for itself. As for the Strikeforce tournament, I actually think it will be either Alistair or Fedor vs. Barnett in the final. Fedor has always fought the same, weather it was against Arlovski, Rogers, Werdum or anybody. Styles make fights. Fedor IS human, but everything thinks hes the terminator, which he's not. He's just simply the best Heavyweight fighter ever. He isn't afraid of standing up with the best strikers, and he isn't afraid of grappling with the best grapples. A lot of fighters won't play their opponents game, but Fedor will.

I can agree to hold my tongue on Brock from here on out. The reason I flock to this forum is the intelligent discussion. This small pocket of regulars here, Badnewz, James, Sandy, SteveHulk, PdW2kX, Kliquid, Patrick Bateman, Bartman, Mr. MMA, and all and any I forgot tend to have some of the best discussion on MMA, available on the internet today imo. How itonic it'd be on a wrestling toy forum. And I'd rather agree to disagree than muddle that up with pointless arguing. WF: MMA = P4P GOAT MMA FORUM lol

The world is ending, haha. Yea, there are many stereotypes for MMA fans both in real life and on the internet, but for all of those people, there are those of us who can have a civilized conversation/debate as well. We need more of that around here and less arguing and petty nonsense.

I think that is because he gave CroCop too much respect. I think a lot of fighters do...(and they should).....
with that being said I think (and hope) Crocop wins against Schaub....

Hero worship. Grave mistake. See Hughes/GSP I.
I do too, but in all reality I'm not holding my breath. At this point a dominant win or a devastating loss wouldn't surprise me any more than the other.

I marked out like a mother****** when CroCop won against Barry. I think Schaub is a bit overconfident and I am hoping CroCop finds some new found motivation...
...but I too wouldn't be surprised if Schaub pulls out a win, a lackluster win....but a win nonethless.

I think their is no question that Fedor is not the P4P best in the world right now. That obviously goes to Anderson Silva or GSP (although if Overeem wins the Strikeforce GP he should be atleast mentioned).
But Fedor is right now the greatest MMA fighter in history. Sure GSP or Silva or someone new could surpass him, but based on history of work Fedor is the greatest in history. It like Babe Ruth. He was the greatest but eventually someone will pass him. It just hasn't happened yet.

I love Fedor too but I think he is going to lose the HW tourney....Overeem is taking the whole thing. I think Fedor has begun to show that he is human...it started in the Arlovski fight...then against Brett Rogers....and finally against Werdum. that's fair, but imo it was only our perception of fedor's invincibility that has really changed. he hasn't broken. as he said directly following his loss to werdum, "the one who doesn’t fall, doesn’t stand up.” fedor always knew he could lose, he's always been humble. he'll come to his fight with silva with the same mentality that he's had in every other encounter - there to win.

I think he will get past Silva....and Werdum if Werdum beats Overeem.....but I just have a feeling Overeem is going to win the whole thing...which would make a HUGE statement considering what he just did in K-1.

Fedor himself has never considered himself immortal. That was everyone else. Every MMA fan SHOULD know ANYONE can win and ANYONE can lose at any time. Fedor didn't look the least bit disappointed after the loss, either. He looked the same as always.

Its because Fedor knows that the fact is it doesn't matter win or lose because just like every other fighter he doesn't win every fight he has and there is always a challenge for the fighter to conquer.

Yeah - I don't think you can really call Anderson Silva a "Pride guy" though: he fought almost as much in Cage Rage and Mecca as he did in Pride. And he had only fought once for Pride in three years before he joined the UFC. I definitely consider him more of a UFC guy now...
